This is the best looking comic I've read this year.
Eh, I got some time to kill. This is Rumble by John Arcudi, James Harren and Dave Stewart.
>John Arcudi, James Harren and Dave Stewart.
Yeah, it's a pretty all-star team.
I'll be posting all the way through the ninth issue, which is the most recent.
I like the monologue on the following page. Bit depressing though.
If you were an immortal warrior god trapped for eons and then shoved into a scarecrow, you'd probably be a little rough around the edges too.
Well, yeah, you're not wrong there. I empathize with him being shoved into this ridiculous situation on top of all his other shit, but still.
And that's the end of the first volume, "What Color of Darkness". Go buy it! It's an Image first volume, so you can probably get it for like, six bucks online.
And we're rolling on into issue six!
Bobby shouldn't be the hero, he doesn't deserve it.
He's been nothing but a useless egotistical self-serving asswipe so far who due to plot-armor managed to deus ex machina twice. GG, great story, I hate him to death.
His friend however is perfect and should be the focus but I really feel he's being set up to get fucked and bobby will come out on top again, for no reason at all.
He deserves nothing more than being a simple background character that appears on one page and everyone else simply walks past.
I kinda get that. There's not as much of an overarching plot as I would like.
Try asking the Win O Thread.
hey man, thanks for storytiming this
how far into volume 2 is it atm? or has it gone further?
I'm getting really tired of following things that never end or take forever
uber seems to have stopped at an anticlimax
I'm going to be waiting 20 years for berserk to finish (which takes the piss because I've been reading it for over 10 years already)
probably another 4 years for jojolion
does this look like it's going to be a closed story, or the kind of comic that will go on forever?
It's only nine issues in at the moment, so I think there's only one more before volume two is done. But to answer your other question, no, there doesn't seem to be a particular endgame in sight yet.
All right, that's it. Thanks for reading!
It appears to be an ongoing which is great. I don't know how well Arcudi and Stewart have been compensated for their work at Dark Horse and beyond but hopefully they can kick a lot of the profit to James and into keeping the book running.
i like rumble, it looks good visually, and the story isnt all that bad
but its just there as a way for them to present monsters and fights
its basically an entire comic where Howards from hellboy is the main character
i like it alot, but it is just a bit flat to me
This deserves way more attention than all the other crap that is being published.
