Don't screw up the OP.
At this point, I'd be more surprised if people didn't have it. It's ancient and gets posted like, every other thread
not to mention all of doublepines' art is saved in the booru:
Ariel actually has pretty nice pair of jugs
daily reminder that episode involving Padippica get nominated for Annie
tits or gtfo
Speaking of Schaal there's something about this photo I really like. It's just a normal picture of her but there's something I can't put my finger on that really makes me like to look at it. Guess we'll never know.
So many mysteries.
I know MishaLover is a fag and reposts this but I've wondered if this is really in the game? If it is I wonder how many people instantly shot him when that popped up. I just don't get how someone can be disgusted by Dipper's cute little
That part was cropped out.
>hating on based Perfectica
what a waste of dubs
welcome to the club pal
Not much, I've been around without posting since about Scary-oke I believe, but before that I never looked for a Gravity Falls thread and when I saw something about it I overlooked it.
So, to sum it up, I'm not new.
well alright with that image it must be true
>Carpet Diem is the biggest physical schism between the twins
>It was over Ford's room, foreshadowing huge schism when Ford actually returns
>Turned out the actual schism to be mundane and easily solved after all
>daron becoming increasingly more successful from star vs
>alex hirsch is pissed because the shipping in one season of star already is better and getting millions of more youtube views than his dragging on wendip for four years
>one day in disney studio, alex has had enough and decides its time to strike
>grabs the x-acto knife
>sees daron in the hall and strikes upward with all his might
>daron: ow a bee bit my ankle
>Stanley and Mabel pretend they found a cool looking monster that they've never seen before
>Dipper quickly runs outside and gets caught on a trap that lifts him up into the air by rope
>Mabel scrubs him with a soapy scrub brush while Stanley sprays the hose at him
The game has a feature where you can scan anyone on the street and it'll give them a random name and a random tidbit of information.
And then because it's just GTA, you can shoot people.
Some people combined these two facets of the game to make their fun.
It's not working anon.
It's not a good enough facsimile.
First and foremost, the perspectives on 3 out of the 4 frames are wrong. Only frame one actually works.
It's not a good loss.
>Matt is the primary voice actor of the site Homestar Runner. He currently works as a writer and director for the children's television series Yo Gabba Gabba!, as well as for the Disney Channel animated series Gravity Falls
YO GABBA GABBA
You're describing gravity falls. Which has better goofy stuff and better lore than Star. We like to shit talk GF's problems here but Star isn't even in the same league as Gravity Falls
I think I posted it before how the season finale didn't do it for me when Star was calling out her attacks with cutesy/cringey names again.
It's just hard to take something seriously when somebody shouts out
>Cupcake glitter explosion!
So I was thinking about writing a story about Dipper getting tempted in the bubble, and I came up with a timeline of temptation.
He makes a deal with the avatar of the bubble that if he can endure the temptation, it will let Mabel go. The avatar says that Dipper doesn't want to admit his true desire, so it eases him in. He goes to his old school where everyone likes him, photo day went perfect, and he has all the valentine's he could ever want. He asks if being popular and liked was his deepest desire, but the avatar persists. Dipper turns out to be the teacher in his dream world, so he asks if being adult was the true wish, and the avatar says that's only a part of it, and that it's more accurate to say he wants to stop being a kid. The avatar takes him to his home and shows off all the learning material Dipper has, and tells Dipper that ultimately, he had a hidden motivation to work hard, and this motivation was his deepest desire. The avatar shows Dipper his relationship with Mabel, and says that this relationship was a coping mechanism. Dipper's real desire, it turns out, was that his parents would be proud of him, and would acknowledge him, as he feels that with it being twins, this put too much responsibility on the parents, and they drifted away. All his academic success was an attempt to win them over, his dreams of fame were just a way of getting them back, and he loved Mabel so much because they would be there for each other when their parents were not. Dipper's parents appear, and apologise for every slight they ever caused him. They plead for a chance to make it up to him. This is Dipper's ultimate test.
Remember when people thought Bill was going to be some kind of silent/seldom spoken pyramid-headed slenderman? Do you prefer wacky meme demon over edgy stuff like that? Or do you think something like that would have given Weirdmaggeddon more tension?
dem face, when in Russia the show was viewed by twice more people than in USA and Canada united..
this bill raping mabel
i think there 4 different of them. depending on the chanel..
the south american dub is shit the spanish dub is also shit i just watched dreamscaperers in latin spanish and oh boy!
When Dipper says Hey Bil Nice bowtie! they translated it to : oye Bill lindo moño , moño means topknot or hairtie so it doesn't makes fucking sense.
Im spanish and i prefer the original version .
So that's why Alex is a manlet. Genetics.
Also Ariel is still hot
I'm not even a footfag, and I've jerked offed to that pic before. That's how much i like Kristen Schaal.
I DIDN'T ASK TO BE BORN
DIPPER MABEL SAVE MEEEEE AAAAAAAA
Alex could have made 3 seasons but failed to make his show the way he wanted to because of Disney. He never had a chance to make the show how he wanted but he could have done more to make it less compacted in season 2. The story was rushed and suffered badly because of it.
I say he should remake the show but in comic form so he can do it right but I bet Disney will keep the IP for gravity falls until they eventually are bought by another company (so never)
Alex isn't a hack but he's not not a hack.
He took a show that had great potential and let it become shit because he didn't have the balls to make things the way he wanted.
Also, Mabel is a horrible character and we should all hate her more.
>Mabel is a horrible character and we should all hate her more.
That's Dana Terrace. One of the best artists on the show and also unusually attractive. Is he really dating her? If so I may need to reconsider my Hirsch stance. That would be impressive
As people were saying in the last thread, I prefer the Bill from before the last two episodes to what we're getting right now. I thought he was plenty creepy while also being entertaining. There have been a handful of moments like that (all in part 1) but not enough.
legs are best, feet are for fags
How does /gfg/ feel knowing that its gonna join /sug/ in the /trash/ pretty soon.
As if I'm gonna go with you guys to /trash/.
The Gravity Falls threads are nearly dead on /co/. The only reason the Steven Universe threads are fairly active over there was because normally they'd have like 5 threads a day on /co/.
i dont really know why /sug/ gets trashed earlier than /gfg/ esp when the show updates more often. GF has been on more hiatuses than anything how does it stay up? We talk about lore and foot fetishes, sure, but doesnt /sug/ as well?
I will miss Gravity Falls fandom.
I will even miss tumblr's bishie Bills.
Goodnight, bishie Bills.
Goodnight, Dipper's feet.
Goodnight, Doublepines, whose Pinecest is neat.
Goodnight you hackposters, though your memes are old.
Goodnight Manzi drama, the hot and the cold.
Goodnight oppai anon, Paz's fantastic jugs.
Goodnight pictures of cute twins and kisses and hugs.
Goodnight fan theories in which we over-invest.
Goodnight arguing about which ship is the best.
Goodnight Mabel defenders and haters alike.
Goodnight saying that Disney is worse than the third reich.
Goodnight everyone, when /gfg/ is through.
Though you won't admit it, I'll see you in /su/.
Exactly, this thread started after 12:30 am and we still haven't even gotten past 200 replies yet
we have tons of more dignity than /sug/. but that doesn't mean we're immune to autism. Honestly the only general on /co/ that rarely gets autistic is
Man, /sveg/ is so damn pleasant it's bizarre.
Like, so many different ships coexist just fine, with basically one guy trying to incite shipping wars with his whole "MANNA FOREVER, STARCO NEVER" bullshit.
And on top of that, they basically always breed new content thanks to a high density of writefags.
>Remember when people thought Bill was going to be some kind of silent/seldom spoken pyramid-headed slenderman? Do you prefer wacky meme demon over edgy stuff like that?
I started watching the show mid-season 2, so my perspective is sort of limited. It's hard to imagine Bill being so different. But, honestly, I don't think a Slendy-style antagonist would work for the show. Or, at least, not if he were meant to serve as the primary antagonist.
Silent, unknowable villains are great for horror, but Gravity Falls isn't a horror. A villain who doesn't speak would run counter to its strengths. Although the show has moments with good atmosphere or suspense, funny dialogue delivered by characters with big, colourful personalities is what makes up the bulk of episodes. And I'd argue that's also the reason why most of us like the show so much.
>Or do you think something like that would have given Weirdmaggeddon more tension?
I don't think Bill's personality is the real issue here. He worked well in Dreamscapers and he was excellent in Sock Opera. The stakes felt high enough, largely because Bill seemed like a credible threat in both. He had a plan, and when he was onscreen he was always working to execute it. His proactivity gave an impression of competence.
By contrast, Bill has been been largely passive or reactive since burning the Journals. He's literally sitting around doing nothing for a lot of his appearances, and he's failed to respond to Dipper's actions so far. Bill arrogance in disregarding the the threat Dipper poses is disappointingly incompetent from viewers' perspectives. Worse, it's boring.
With the revelation that Bill's forces are trapped in the town, there's not much urgency to the heroes' struggle. The town is already totalled; Bill has accomplished what he could; and, although Ford and the townspeople are captured, they aren't really suffering. You get the sense it doesn't matter if they defeat Bill today or a month from now.
It's pretty interesting, and it took me a while to catch on.
Honestly, the linguistic differences of 4chan from the rest of the internet, even from board to board, is one of the things that kept me coming back because it was just fascinating to try and figure out. Certain words just mean different things, and different things will offend or incite than you'd expect just about anywhere else.
Near as I can tell, the best way to put it is that we're all fags here.
>moved from small town to medium-ish city
>everything smelled bad and was dirty
>and way too small
>think if I just move to larger city it'll be better
>it's even worse
>in addition to everything being terrible, people had attitudes because being popped out of your mom's cunt in a big city makes you special
>stageplays were shit and only good part was museums
>food was okay at best and incredibly overpriced
>can't move back because no jobs in my degree there
>I'll have to save and retire there
>tfw will probably never save enough and die in the city
>live in a small town
>it's pretty but it's boring as fuck and there's nothing to do so most people just smoke weed or get drunk
>move to a big city and it's fucking great
>later move from a big city to a medium one
>"oh boy, it'll have all the amenities of a bigger city while keeping that small town charm"
>in reality it has all the worst qualities of both big cities and small towns
big cities are the shit man, you're just a plebe that can't appreciate their appeal
>By contrast, Bill has been been largely passive or reactive since burning the Journals. He's literally sitting around doing nothing for a lot of his appearances, and he's failed to respond to Dipper's actions so far. Yeah, this is really well put. There aren't any stakes right now and the characters in the last episode weren't acting like there were any stakes either. Bill was a scarier presence in TLM when he wasn't even in the episode (in person in the present).
The "Bill doesn't kill Dipper because he doesn't see him as a threat" doesn't really jibe to me with his actions in Sock Opera either, why did he even worry about Dipper getting in the way back then if he figures he can't do anything?
Obviously, they're not really going to have Bill kill Dipper but I wish he had earnestly TRIED to kill him because why not? Why not just eliminate everyone you run across who has any idea about you and what's going on?
Turning everyone to stone or gold is pretty boring too, some creative torture/torment for the characters would have been better. The Preston thing was good, fucking with Ford and Dipper was pretty good, but it stopped quickly.
Bill has spent a lot of time now just sitting around in the Fearamid while his friends dance badly while wearing goofy party hats. It's dull and the build up before was pretty great.
Like people have said before yes you can justify/explain why it makes sense for this to happen but that doesn't make it entertaining.
That's awful. I'm sorry, anon.
I know I wouldn't thrive in a city. There tends to be more opportunity in metropolitan areas, but it would probably crush me if I tried living there for any length. Some people are just creatures of the country.
I know things look bleak, but would they really establish a barrier around the town and have Bill explicitly state he has plans to get through it, only to not have him break through at the halfway point in the finale to really drive home the point that the world is fucked?
I know Alex is a greedy jew c uck hacklet but I wouldn't lose hope until we see the episode itself do something really stupid
What if the actual reason that Bill cant get out of the town because bubble, means he IS ALSO in a bubble like Mabel's and can do anything he wants in it, and the people inside the bubble also get affected by its owner?
Name a better skit in Gravity Falls than Stan watching The Duchess Approves
Protip: You almost certainly can't
Well now that this shows dead its time to move on to bigger and better things.
Is this legit or more fan manufactured shit?
>The "Bill doesn't kill Dipper because he doesn't see him as a threat" doesn't really jibe to me with his actions in Sock Opera either, why did he even worry about Dipper getting in the way back then if he figures he can't do anything?
With the added perspective of Bill's history with Ford, and the speech he gave while burning the Journals in Weirdmageddon, I'd say Bill's motivation in Sock Opera wasn't really about Dipper at all. Instead, he's always been concerned with the threat posed by Ford, and by extension Ford's research.
Contrary to what he said when he was trying to sweet talk Dipper into a deal, Bill doesn't have a high opinion of Dipper's capabilities. Instead of working to remove Dipper from the town, he tried to destroy the laptop and journal 3. So you can assume he thought taking away Dipper's source of information would neutralize him as a threat. In that sense, the episodes are consistent.
> There aren't any stakes right now and the characters in the last episode weren't acting like there were any stakes either.
>Like people have said before yes you can justify/explain why it makes sense for this to happen but that doesn't make it entertaining.
Yeah, that's my take on it as well. The whole scenario is telegraphing Bill's failure from miles away, and consequently it doesn't feel as urgent as it could. Even though Bill's actions can be read as consistent with his character, it's frustrating for us because we do know Dipper's going to help defeat him. And it'll happen because Bill failed to take action even when he had warning.
Speculation, probably. TMoGF doesn't normally have any insider info on airdates.
Right here family.
The sequence with Stan in the town stocks on Pioneer Day is pretty great. Although I guess that's technically two scenes. One with Gideon and one with Pacifica.
Dipper's distractions for Stan and Soos in Double Dipper are good too.
>Instead, he's always been concerned with the threat posed by Ford, and by extension Ford's research.
Fair enough, but:
1. He still should be concerned with any information about him or a way to stop him Ford may have given Dipper by this point, or possibly others. If he'd been watching him he'd have known that Ford was spending a lot of time with Dipper (we know he shared his files on Bill with Dipper) so killing Dipper would make sense on the basis that Ford has certainly personally given him information, plus he's spent a lot of time with the journals. To someone reasonably intelligent, eliminating those close to Ford just makes sense, especially since it would be so easy to do.
2. Actually, it's kind of lame that we don't have a brief scene of Bill telling a henchman to eliminate Ford, either, when he first merges the worlds. It may have been sheer luck that Bill wasn't beaten right off the bat by Ford's gun. He doesn't do anything to address the Ford threat either until Ford actually shoots him, and depending on whether the gun works or not, defeats him right out of the gate.
Again, all of these things could be explained away and justified as in character but the long and short of it as, as someone else said before, it makes Bill very passive/reactive, reads as incompetent, and makes him feel like not much of a threat which hurts the narrative. Since in a sense the plot and mysteries of the show have all been leading up to this, it becomes a significant problem instead of just a minor annoyance. As you said, maybe with Bill "as a person" you could say it makes sense but characters are just tools to serve the plot and in that sense it's a let down.
>Which has better goofy stuff and better lore than Star.
It's possible to like two shows for similar reasons, you know.
Draw Candy sharing a bed with Pacifica in the Mystery Shack, and she's groping Pacifica in her sleep.
Yeah, it was made by an old drawfag a while ago.
>Some sounds exactly like Plinkett
You mean Soos?
If so, I actually agree. I'd never notice that before. Huh.
Send Soos some pizza rolls.
This pretty much. I didn't need Bill to have some master plan or shitty head canon stuff like Dipper corruption, bad end, or the wheel being relevant. So far the greatest flaw is how boring Weirdmageddon is at parts, especially in part 2.
This. Stan has always been more of a caricature, Ford is shallow and undeveloped, both twins are annoying and couldn't stand on their own as protagonists, Wendy does nothing, etc
I imagine thatin the portal version of this (I'm gonna go with William pretending to be a whiny baby to manipulate characters that way, because useless Bill annoys me) he walked into the portal thinking he'd find heaven in the other side or some shit. Instead Will used him as a battery.
When he is rescued he is a depressed, useless shade of his former self. He is extremely dependant on Stan now. Agoraphobic and crying and useless and no longer an adventurer. He wasn't naive, he just thought that he had subdued the demon.
Stan is jaded because of Ford's. And angry. But he doesn't know about William, and so he is fooled as well by the blue triangle at least at the begining of the story. What happened with Ford makes him distant and alone. He has anger issues which he lets go of sometimes but he sends Soos to do the fighting.
Also they're codependant and incesty I guess, this is what I have for now.
>I'm gonna go with William pretending to be a whiny baby to manipulate characters that way, because useless Bill annoys me
That's the way Will is in some fanfics, with the weepy/pussy act being a front.
Actually, my favorite Will Cipher is good guy Will Cipher pretending to be a whiny crybaby to manipulate the bad guys. Like a triangular demon Columbo.
>It may have been sheer luck that Bill wasn't beaten right off the bat by Ford's gun.
That's exactly what it was. That's not bad in itself, of course. Random happenstance working against the heroes once or twice is fine.
But when you think about it, capturing Ford is the only important thing Bill has gotten right since arriving in Gravity Falls. He was wrong about Gideon's reliability, Dipper's resilience, the effectiveness of Mabel's bubble, and even whether he'd be able to leave the town. So his one meaningful success so far is owed to dumb luck.
>I'd like to know what the two Stan's are like
I don't think I've ever seen a Reverse Pines scenario that included Ford. Could be interesting.
>That's exactly what it was. That's not bad in itself, of course. Random happenstance working against the heroes once or twice is fine.
>But when you think about it, capturing Ford is the only important thing Bill has gotten right since arriving in Gravity Falls. Exactly. It would be fine on its own, but everything else we've seen involves either Bill actively fucking up (not noticing they're on Under the Dome all of a sudden; incidentally that show sucks) or literally leaning back and doing fucking nothing. It's always better to see villains being overly precautious instead of just letting everything slide. Also their doing dumbass things so early on kills the tension.
I guess it will be interesting to talk about after the last episode. At this point, the only way they could save Bill competence in the Weirdmageddon arc would be if he does have some grand Xanatos style bit everything is playing into or conversely he dgaf because he knows or expects he'll lose, but it's no big deal. I don't expect either, though, and what it boils down to is probably a lackluster episode compared to the better episodes like NWHS, NMM, and DaMvTF or even the first two Bill episodes. It's just a shame because Bill got lots of attention for seeming unique and different but in the finale he's a very run of the mill kiddie fare character.
Now, if the character stuff is great, that won't matter. But after Escape from Reality, I don't expect that, either. An even bigger problem for me is that they mucked up Mabel's character arc and the Mabel and Dipper character arc. The Stan and Ford resolution is an open question but the fact that they've hardly spent any time on their relationship since Ford returned is a concern.
It varies a lot but I've seen stuff where he's helping Reverse Pacifica and Reverse Gideon. I suspect there's not as much of him interacting with them because the most popular fanfic is blatant shipper fuel and it's more popular to ship any Bill with the twins. Of course it's more common to have Will be a nice/good guy the Reverse twins are still forcing to do bad things but I don't like useless Bill either.
He's depressed and unstable. A little lethargic. I like edgy pain, so some of that will happen to explain his current state. Stanley will be overprotective, but Ford needs almost constant care, so he tells him to keep and eye on the twins.
Forgot to add that Stanley would also slightly resent Ford for taking up time that belonged to his son who also needed chronic help.
Oh, just just meant fanfic plural in general, not one fanfiction in particular. But if you filter by popularity on either AO3 or fanfiction.net, most of the most popular ones are gonna be Reverse Billdip, where the writers just wanted to switch up the seme/uke dynamics.
Here's one that isn't, though. It's a collection of Reverse Falls stories that's Reverse!Dipfica (Rev!Dipper/Rev!Pacifica). If you don't mind that pairing, enjoy:
I'm sure others have recs too, have fun.
>Here's one that isn't, though. It's a collection of Reverse Falls stories that's Reverse!Dipfica (Rev!Dipper/Rev!Pacifica). If you don't mind that pairing, enjoy:
That sounds pretty fun. I did a Rev!Mabel/Rev!Pacifica fic a long while back once but I hadn't done anything with Dipper/Pacifica
Very cute well done art/writing, cute fluffy pairing (despite what tumblr says), what's not to love?
Most of the comics are just spaced out randomly - there's not big storyline connecting all of them
Just read them all and enjoy the artist that is the gateway drug for 99% of pinecest shippers.
Well, for DP there's a nice 3 parter
Mabel's Dream Boy -> 'Sgonna be a long Night -> Limbo
Oh, you meant the comics.
No, it's all little random stuff for the most part. There is a little bit of a throughline with some of them, in particular, the Pinesmoments series. Here's the whole thing.
Truth, she writes them really well. I had heard that people shipped the twins before I came across /gfg/ and thought it was weird, but when I saw her art posted here and read the fics she wrote I converted pretty much on the spot.
I regret nothing.
>Also they're codependant and incesty
Sounds perfect to me.
last night I dreamt I was in Toronto.
There was a cloud machine at the base of the CN tower, donated there by the football club Manchester United.
The machine made clouds that, from a distance, looked like huge angel wings sprouting from the tower.
Then there were sirens and shit and I think an earthquake was happening.
Then i woke up.
padippica is the best ship but i don't like lewd padippica, just those cute images where they're blushing while holding hands and whatnot
Who is best girl? Additionaly, who is best pairing for Dipper?
Here is a photo of him banging Kristen. Pinecest is basically confirmed now guys.
According to what Alex said in a recent podcast interview (http://www.craveonline.com/culture/916253-b-movies-podcast-secrets-gravity-falls-alex-hirsch, at 9:40mins or so) Disney owns all the rights to Gravity Falls. Technically, they can do what they please without getting his approval first. They do seem to be willing to respect his wishes for now, though.
It does, but if you knowingly waive them when you sign your contract, they can't help you if you change your mind later on.
>but if you knowingly waive them when you sign your contract, they can't help you if you change your mind later on.
This is America. You can always sue.
But yeah, I guess maybe in a few years when Disney needs some extra cash and has a decent director they'll revive it.
That little dance they were doing in one scene was the Charleston. It was a dance that was big back in the 1920's and early 30's. I just don't understand such a obscure cultural reference. Look at your own reaction. No kids know what the fuck the Charleston was. It was a lame thing to put in there.
Yeah, but Pyronica is hot so it's ok.
>all references put in a cartoon are required to be understood by children, all our viewers are complete morons who don't know about anything older than a few years or so
t. Disney executive
Kids would just see it as goofy dance, if they even notice at all. Would you rather the demons be "modern" and just be twerking all over the place instead?
>Would you rather the demons be "modern" and just be twerking all over the place instead?
For once I agree with Misha, jesus. That is one of the most cringeworthy things for me.
>a obscure cultural reference
Didn't you ever go to school dances as a kid? I remember seeing the hands-on-knees-swapping part of the dance from my own. Granted, nobody knew what it was or where it came from at that age, but I wouldn't call it obscure, exactly.
>Would you rather the demons be "modern" and just be twerking all over the place instead?
You have to admit that if anyone in the show's built for that, it's Pyronica.
Wow dude, what've you got against the Charleston? Which Untouchable knocked over your speakeasy? It was good enough for Gatsby and he was great. Would you rather they were flagpole sitters instead?
>no "Pyronica's and Mabel's Guide to Seducing Boys"
>no episode where Pyronica uses Pacifica's body to lure Dipper off and wrings every last drop of bodily fluids out of him against his will
Why did Ford have supplies in his bunker going up to 2060? Wouldn't he have been nearly 110 by then?
2070, even. The answer is that Ford's arrogance extended to providing for future generations as well. Why trust the nebulous people of the future to care for themselves when you could just assume they'd be as incompetent as the people of today?
what could be the hackest move that Alex going to pull at the finale?
How would you react if in this scene were a squirt of blood out of Bill's hat?
>All this disgusting pinecest
I'm sorry in advance for the blogpost, I just don't know where else to turn. Theres not much to say, but I just want to thank you all for being the wonderful, terrible, disgusting, and really, just interesting people you've been.
No matter how shitty my days have been, coming here to post is a has been a respite of brief, human-like contact where I've never needed a filter and there's always been something to smile about here.
Sometime soon, I'm going to off myself. Life's just gotten too painful and frustrating to deal with, and I don't know where else to turn. You won't be the last people I talk to, but it'll be close.
In any case, Have a good finale you guys.
I hope it's everything you could hope for.
Please watch this video anon.
Out of literally trillions of possible egg/sperm combinations in your parents lifetime, you were the one. You were literally born a winner.
Talk to a church, talk to a suicide hotline, talk to anyone. If you really feel that miserable, then surely you have nothing to lose either way, so why not ask them, why not get help from them?
I've felt like you a lot of times in my life, I've felt miserable and rejected, and like the world hated me, but I kept going, because I knew that there were more things to life waiting around the corner, if I kept going. I was born with autism, but have many great friends, I was born to a poor family, but I'm about to start a job with a 6 figure average salary, I was born with Dyspraxia, but ran a half marathon, and am about to run a full one.
I know you can make it anon.
Come on, dude.
What if you miss out on a good new cartoon? Also I'm sure there's people here who wouldn't mind talking to you off /gfg/. There's no shame in asking.
Also you should at least try to make it to the finale, dude. The threads will be fun!
I'd reconsider, mate. At least until you've tried ever option at least three times, and you're over the age of 30.
I've been there. Dealt with suicidal thoughts/tendencies for about 30 years (yeah, it's started pretty early). Nearly succeeded in '03, put myself in ICU. Some days, I still wonder if I would have been better off if I had. But when I get into that state of mind, I remind myself this - death is a given It's going to happen anyway, eventually. Life can be and often is awful, but it's also full of surprises. It would be a shame if you jumped off the train just before that awesome thing right around the curve.
I can't in good conscience tell you what you should do. You know your position better than I do. Just make sure your decision isn't clouded by that tunnel of despair that is depression. It lies to you, this I guarantee. And always remember that people care...if no one else, then certainly me.
Get well, anon.
What would you prefer for them to be doing after being cooped up in their boring prison dimension for zillions of years? Income taxes?
Also, I can't remember, have we ever actually seen the dimension where Bill is from? I kind interpreted as being just an empty void with nothing to do in it that Bill and his buddies had just been floating around in for a long time.
Yeah it's pretty much that
Oh here we sucking go, why am I not surprised hearing this from some fucking spic on welfare. Bill and friends fucked up their own dimension and have only come to Gravity Falls to duck up a new place. Enough with this "refugee" nonsense. After 6 trillion years he could've improved his dimension and stop the decay, but no, let's just let Ahmed hang around here and maybe we'll send someone else to fight for his home.
>a place or situation from which you cannot escape
It's possible to imprison yourself. If I fell down a hole into a cave and was stuck there for a decade, or wound up losing or destroying the means for myself to escape it (like a ladder or rope) it wouldn't be inaccurate to refer to it as my prison.
>There's gotta be more to it. It spawned all these yo Ganga rejects, so something has to be going on.
Remember how Time Babby said if Bill and his buddies kept fucking around, they're destroy the universe? That's pretty much what happened in the last dimension. If Bill and his friends were allowed go unchecked, they'd fuck the universe in the ass until it was looser than OP's asshole, and then find some sucker in some other dimension to build a portal for them.
Is this everyone in the resistance movement or are there more members off-screen?
>This show made me gain a relationship with my kid cousins, by playing pretend that they were the twins and I was Soos, and thus made me want to keep on living
Bittersweet that it's over but glad that it's over after I stopped feeling suicidal
You guys were fun too
Are there any characters left (with an actual identity) who hasn't been turned to stone by Bill?
I'm also curious to see how Stan reacts to seeing the kids. For all he knew, there were dead or abducted. Will it be played off comicly, or will we see him break down?
>Are there any characters left (with an actual identity) who hasn't been turned to stone by Bill?
The status of Gideon and his crew is currently unknown, but given they were heading straight for the pyramid last time we saw them his chances aren't high. Blendin is still knocking around somewhere/somewhen with his little deus ex machina. There's also Toby, knocked out by darts then forgotten about
Looks like he's stronger on the inside than he is on the outside
We can assume Stan was not in the Shack for the first three days of Weirdmageddon because on Day 3 Dipper says he couldn't find Stan anywhere and he just couldn't not look for him in the Shack. Maybe he was out there in Gravity Falls, trying to collect the remaining resistance before heading back?
I can picture him getting emotional over twins' return in the first minute of the finale, and then Pacifica
>Are there any characters left (with an actual identity) who hasn't been turned to stone by Bill?
I think Blendin and Bodacious T. are the only ones left
We saw Ghost Eyes turned to stone already.
God I really hope this is a bunch of bullshit. Honestly i do not wanna see how much worse the hack could butcher his own creation. He is like Saturn devouring his own children at this point.
I can think of three characters I would have preferred to see become part of the resistance and woodpecker fucker fat shemale Grenda and gook tits Candy where not on that fucking list.
>not wanting some of dat yellow sideways cunny
What are the three characters you'd have liked to have seen as part of the resistance?
/sug/ willingly went to /trash/. I would like to think that the people here wouldn't be that pathetic and just move one with their lives. Once /gfg/ gets killed, Im going straight back to /a/. /co/ is a tumblr shithole and this general is really the only reason I come here any more.
What will you miss the most about /gfg/ when the show is finally over.
>The status of Gideon and his crew is currently unknown
At least two of Gideon's posse are in Bill's flesh throne. Given the dialogue in that scene, we can assume they were captured shortly after handing the key over to Dipper. Either Gideon alone managed to escape, or they caught him but didn't petrify him.
Or the gangmembers being in there already was yet another continuity/animation error.
>/co/ is a tumblr shithole
This may be true, but /a/ is...just not very friendly. I've never found much in the way of warmth in that board. No camaraderie.
Sounds like /a/ is your native board though, and it's best to be where you're comfortable.
Who cares. I'm not allowed my opinions anyway. Never have been. I just sit here usually and nod along and agree with everything. I got tired of being shouted down. It doesn't matter anymore anyway. The shows over. Everyone is dead so who cares.
No. Not really. Thanks for asking. Never been popular or wanted even though i always loved the show and just waned to share its fandom.Like i said its over now. Not just this show but life in general. It was just one more thing that went a bad direction and ended poorly. i really don't care anymore. I'm going to make alot of peoples wish come true soon and just die.
I don't mean to. I'm not sticking around for the series finale. And no to answer your question ahead of time it was not just this cartoon that made me feel this way. It was alot of things piled on top of the other that finally made me realize its never getting better. I'm going to be on the outside looking in my whole life alone and pushed aside or tormented and yelled at. the way things went with Gravity falls and my time in the fandom was just a contributing factor. I'll be gone soon. Goodbye /GFG/ I hope your finale pleases you.
All this drama over a cartoon?
I hope you get your shit together anonymous.
And we all know the finale is gonna suck because they rushed the fuck out of it.
I don't know what's going on in your life, but judging from words alone I can tell you I've felt the same in the past. I'm going to ask you a favor, okay? Can you wait before you do anything and talk to me just for a while?
In light of all the talk of suicide in this thread, I'd recommend that any anons who are having those kinds of thoughts talk to a doctor or psychiatrist about how your symptoms compare to those of depression and Seasonal Affective Disorder. That shit is treatable. Talk to someone(be it a therapist and/or a close friend) or get some pills or both, just find out what works for you. 1 (800) 273-8255 is a hotline if any of you need it. Ending your life is ultimately your decision to make, but you should exhaust all your other options before you turn to that.
Life is worth living, you've just got to find the motivation. I struggle with that a lot too, and I know it's not easy, but it's doable. Have some happy twins.
I've been talking to a therapist for five years and all that did was remind me what a wasted pointless life i've led and how empty it really was. Talking doesn't really fix anything. The shows over both for you guys and for me in a literal sense.
If you felt that way for that long then there is probably nothing we can say is that's gonna change your mind about hurting yourself. Sorry that you feel like there is no other way. Good bye I guess anonymous :^(
If at all possible, you should try psilocybin. It literally saved my life. Ketamine is supposed to be very helpful, as well. Definitely, you should try these before killing yourself. Psychedelics are the most effective treatment for mental illness around.
Hang in there!
>No female demon transforming cute girls into fiery minions
>No weak-willed guy being seduced into bringing cute girls to her for this purpose
Yeah, you and me know you're not even going to do it. You're here just for attention, and by God, you got it. Now, fuck off back to >>>/b/ and stop wasting mine and everyone else's time. Have a good night.
Seriously, try psychedelics. They worked for me much better than prescription psyche meds and with few or no side effects. Before you kill yourself, you owe it to yourself to do that, it can make a whole universe of difference.
Here, listen to spotless-quality Gravity Falls theme, hopefully it'll cheer you up enough
Did I mention it is in spotless quality? Fucking hell, if life's worth living this is why
I've been seeing one therapist or another for roughly 21 years. I've been out into a psychiatric facility 5 times, the longest one for three months. I'm a single, unemployed, borderline shut-in thirty something who can barely buy groceries without a panic attack. I'm a loser and my life sucks. I'm the type of person other people look at to make themselves feel better. At least once a month I consider if I'd be better off ending it all. Yeah, life can suck, especially when you're dealt all the wrong cards. But you don't want to tap out yet. Not when you probably suck less than I do.
Its not just about the show. I wish people would believe that. Its hard to even put into words. I wish i could but i cannot. The best way i can describe it is feeling hated and unwanted and rejected in every aspect of my life. I couldn't even go to the comicon in San Diego without something awful happening to me. I just want it to end.
