I'm trying to put myself in the mods shoes, but I genuinely cant fathom how the fuck this all happened.

First thread went up when the old one was 1 thread away from page 10. Yes, thats early. By literally like 20 seconds. Deleting the old thread would have sufficed. The new thread is deleted and practically immediately replaced with this one.

It almost feels like the mod made this one and wanted people to use it instead.

I simply cant think of any justified reason the other one was deleted. It just seems like there was intent to annoy people.

So I'm working on powering through Aftermath before TFA comes out. I've been slacking off and have so far only read Tarkin and A New Dawn out of the new novels. I haven't even started Lords of the Sith, Dark Disciple, or Lost Stars yet. Started Heir to the Jedi and abandoned it.

I'm up to the part where Ackbar has just sent out the scouts and Temmin's just run a hovercart into a mob of stormtroopers, or something like that. So far, the writing style is alienating but I'm glad the story's finally starting to come together enough to get me past the writing style. I don't know that it's GREAT, but at least I finally feel like I have some idea of who the characters are, what their motivations are, who the good guys are, and who the bad guys are, and the interludes have been FANTASTIC.

How thoroughly should I prepare my anus? When should I expect everything to turn to shit, /swr/?

I know this isn't /toy/ but I guess maybe you guys would appreciate it too.
My nephew is a Star Wars fan and is/was wishing for a classic stormtrooper for Christmas from the "black series", a Hasbro line. I went out today trying to find one and it was fucking brutal. Five stores and all told me I it wasn't made any more, they even checked if they had any in other stores but nope.
I managed to find one in a toy store/comic shop and got it at retail price. When I came home I found out it's been out of production for a while and it is now worth a pretty penny online, but when I took it out to have a better look I realized it was fucking awesome.

Everything is articulated, the wrists can turn and bend, the upper and lower torso can move, the head, arms, elbows, legs, knees and even feet all move and can be turned and twisted like a real body would. There's even a soft faux-leather holster for the blaster which it fits into. I don't want to give it away now.

He's 10 and he's heavily into the old trilogy and stormtroopers/the empire especially. He didn't care much for Clone Wars because of the clone troopers and their armor designs. I showed him Rebels and he's happy that the "old" troopers are back, even if he thinks the rebels should "just give up".

Getting another figure seems really hard, I'd have to find one abroad and like I said they seem to be rising drastically in value.

The first is a Jedi Knight, a calm and collected philosopher from the Expansion Region. He has embraced the Jedi policy of removal from emotion, taking it to a new level.
