It's bombing in ratings because they tried to design a show for girls. It went good for a while then Jessica Jones became a thing. So suddenly, all the feminists decided to ditch Supergirl in favor of Jessica Jones because it's more "feminist".

Ratings should matter, but not the channel. Everybody has access to everything, and this gatekeeper shit the platforms try to do is bullshit of the highest order. If a show can get 3 million viewers but that's no longer enough for your advertisers on one channel or even platform, you as a broadcaster need to have somewhere to shunt it that allows you to continue making it and getting that ad revenue, instead of just cancelling and saying welp guess it's back to reruns of Bonanza and Wheel of Fortune for us. It's not 19 fuckin 50.

It's not "bombing", it's doing as well as DC shows currently tend to do. If CBS or w/e looked at Arrow and Flash and thought "we can do DOUBLE that with our own show aimed at that same demo!" then that's kinda really not the shows fault

The show had such potential, and then they went the route of gurl power and lame Special Effects. I mean Smallville is on par with this show in the sfx department, heck most youtube videos can whip out better ones.

Also the heavy handed dialogue really interrupts the flow of the show. My friends and I play a drinking game, where every time an overt gurl power sjw thing is said we take a shot. The first 2 episodes we got buzzed pretty quick, but last weeks episode I was nearly drunk by the first commercial break. Have the script showing Kara being a strong woman, instead of reminding the viewer that men are terrible and holding her back.

The only reason I still watch this is because I am a huge Superman/Supergirl fan, and Melissa is a qt.
