After the third or fourth time or so, I start noticing all of the faces of people not speaking or in the immediate spotlight. For example, Yang's "yer gonna get raped" face when Blake is listing off the threats they've faced in the past, and just a couple seconds later Ruby's shit-eating grin when Weiss says "maybe then I'll be able to pay for a meal..."

Not him, but there's a very thin, blurry line between edgy and cool. So for border cases like that you'd have to look past the gun-arms themselves and at the attitude of the character. I haven't seen AgK so I won't comment on whether it's edgy or not, but I definitely wouldn't put the Red Trailer at edgy. It might approach the line a bit with "Red and Black clad character tears beasts apart with giant scythe", but the attitude of Ruby isn't that of your typical edgelord. And whereas an edgy work would have blood everywhere, everything fades into god damn rose petals, and instead of wailing guitars you have an attempt at etheral vocals. Just my opinion.
