Post your favorite cartoon of all time
Not that guy, but it's not that great of a toon.
Lots of fun, sure. But lacks substance. It can't decide whether it wants to be episodic or plot-driven. And when there is plot, it's absent in most episodes save for minor scenes.
Not to mention awful animation. Infantile, childish theme song. Etc. Etc.
So your standards are low.
>"... Lots of fun, sure. But..."
>Complains about him not liking fun.
Not that guy, but can you even read?
Then again, SVtFoE is your "all-time favorite", so i guess they haven't gone over that in school yet...
I'm not sure if it's my favorite but I know it's probably the most finely crafted cartoon there is.
At least before the writing got terrible.
These are my favs. I'd add Looney Tunes, but it was too vague to really pin down as a TV show.
I can't pick just one, but there are alot to choose from.
>Billy and Mandy
>The Fairly Oddparents (early)
>Ed, Edd, n Eddy
>Rick and Morty
>Over The Garden Wall
I can't pick one, but if I had to, it'd be Spongebob. It was perfect seasons 1-3.
also Gravity Falls and Rick and Morty way up there. honorable mention to Freakazoid
I really REALLY love Adventure Time, even in it's half shitty modern day state.
The early seasons were so wonderful and the recent ones aren't bad enough for me to hate so it's my favorite. I have no idea what I'll do with myself when it finally ends.
>Included Reddit and Morty
almost anon.....then you had to fuck it all up..
>I have no idea what I'll do with myself when it finally ends
Don't worry, this show will have more and more seasons because it is still a biggest cash-cow. Just wait until 2019 or 2020.
either Beast Wars or Transformers Cybertron.
Transformers is my life passion.
the 80s versions. my all time fav and if anyone disses the care bears I will find you and fuck your shit up nigga
pic related. my favorite
Beetlejuice. All four glorious seasons. Can't believe it hasn't been mentioned once ITT.
>IT NEEDS LE PLOT
Spotted the /sug/babby.
Character design, atmosphere, and palpable emotion go much further than fat solid color blobs acting out emotional Dragonball Z fanfiction.
I enjoy any show where I get to see qt Dick grow up into someone who is shown, on screen, to get all the bitches.
I don't care who likes the show or doesn't, but it's dumb how people bitched "it doesn't have a plot!" as an all-purpose criticism for the first few episodes, then when it showed that it did, in fact, have a plot, they now bitch about not liking that it's trying to have a plot.
>liking kids media
must be over 18 to post here..
Yeah, that's true, and if people actually said that it'd show they're not just triggered by seeing it/shitposting.
But so often criticism like:
>can't decide whether it wants to be episodic or plot-driven
just seems like if a show isn't 100% DUMB COMEDY or DEEP LORE every single episode until it ends then it's inherently doing something wrong.
(not saying that anon feels that way, just that that general sentiment seems to come up a lot here for this and other current cartoons)
TV animation had reached its peak in the early 60's.
Even with atrocities like The Queef Sisters and Human Centipad, South Park remains of of the best cartoons on the air today.
The fuck are you bitching about? No one even said they disliked the show. Its just that calling it your favourite of all time seems a little senseless as pretty much every aspect of it has been done considerably better elsewhere, and I say that as someone who likes the show.
Either pic related, Ed Edd n Eddy, or the early seasons of Futurama.
Still an odd choice.
On topic, I guess I'll still go with the Simpsons. Haven't seen it in awhile and I know its declined, but nothing can kill the glory days.
++ OTGW, GF, Avatar
+ Eds, Rick and Morty, Simpsons, Futurama, Johnny, Billy and Mandy
+ Simpsons, Aqua teen, bigger longer uncut, futurama
++ Steven Universe
+ Gargoyles, Teen Titans
Oh, and the most favorite out of western animated series is The Maxx.
My issue is that if a show is episodic, be episodic. If a show is plot-driven, be ONLY plot-driven with the occasional filler.
Maybe it's my autism, but bouncing back and forth from no plot-progression to sudden plot-progression is jarring when it comes to pacing in story-telling.
Either your cartoon has a plot with an endgame or it doesn't.
This or BANNED.
This isn't counting adaptations
of Japanese comic books.
>It's fun, but not much else.
>Well, I prioritize fun!
>Awful animation [with no examples]
>No, it's good animation [with no examples]
How does it feel to be completely unable to read?
Honorable mentions to Beetlejuice, X-Men Evolution, Batman Brave and The Bold and JLU.
Fleischer is God-tier.
-Where the Dead Go To Die.
>someone else remembers Frisky Dingo
Tom and Jerre
There's more but I forgote
>Complaining about kids media
>On a cartoons and comics board
You must be some type of retarded, Boy
The fags that like it because they self inserted and love shipping. It was quite obvious.
Also they're mexican.
If you're someone who likes b-movies or more experimental film, it's not that hard to get over and even admire how it was thrown together even if it's not "technically" good.
As for the story, I grew up with a best female friend who was abused at home, so the story really hits me. It's about someone who wants to save his friend and does the WORST POSSIBLE THING out of the goodness of his heart. It's a really sad, awful, but interesting story. I like Teen Titans for the same reasons, really, though it's obviously not as extreme.
There's also the fact I both like really extreme, fucked up underground cinema AND grimdark CGI cartoons, so I mean, yeah. That was kinda made for me.
Picking 9 shows as your "favourite cartoon of all time" is cheating; be more decisive, damn it!
Pic related is my list-topper.
Writing is objectively awful and main characters are shit. But I still love it for some reason
Don't even know the top 2 on the left, or middle left, but that's one sexy looking collage.
