In honor of the Lex Zuckerberg unveiling, let's have a goodLex storytime by Paul Cornell and Pete Woods.
During the Blackest Night event, each of the seven lantern colors deputized an inhabitant of Earth to help fight Nekron. Lex Luthor got the orange ring of greed and felt what it was like to have godlike power, something he had pursued heavily in 52 when Superman seemingly vanished for one year.
Plus JLU did Lexiac around then.
Pretty sure that object and that person did.
Glad then because this thing is so inspired and comes from a time when it seemed like DC really focused on pinning Luthor's most compelling characteristics down.
For second I was confused why would Lois eat with Luthor, let alone be cool with him killing some guy.
Then I remembered she's robot.
I'm not Superfag and it shows.
I really need to track down the latter half of these issues. I remember his meetings with Death, Grodd and his battle spoon, and I think Vandal Savage and the Secret Six.
>I'm not Superfag and it shows.
I recommend reading Up, Up, and Away which is a six issue arc running through Superman and Action Comics from 2006ish. It starts in Superman #650
Love the Greatest Hits of Villainy in this
It's a really good run, especially in comparison to what's being down nowadays. Especially the way things were tied in, in a very big picture fashion (Savage, Grodd, etc.) but the ultimate denouement
respecting the PZ 'child' and what it did to Lex was a cheat/plot crutch, none the less, great that you are story timing it - people should read it and make up their own minds, it's really very clever.
You should do the entire series (which means the Doomday books) as well.

Ah, the Flash - fulcrum of the DC multiverse in every good adaption.
here's your response.
Have you considered, maybe, just maybe, that if you don't like the content of a thread, that you...I don't know....DON'T HAVE TO READ IT.
Go do something you enjoy, you don't have to drag the rest of us down.
There's Lex Luthor: Man of Steel, Secret Origins, Death of Superman, The Secret Society arc from v2 of Justice League of America (?), Superman: Brainiac, Up Up and Away, and the Superboy arc of All-Star Comics v2
>Little man in a bowler hat or something...
Alludes to both The Presence in Lucifer and Mxyzptlk in Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?
So that's Mr. Mind, Slade, Grodd, and now Savage
Black Alice has some good stuff. Think she's first in Day of Vengeance? Don't know if she was ever in Vertigo?
Robolois starts working for Brainiac, Brainiac shows up and is revealed he's pulling Lex's strings, Lex destroys Phantom Zone Child and gains its power, Lex tries to mindfuck Superman, makes everyone in universe feel good but since he's dick, he uses all power trying to kill Superman, and dies on end.
