Now that the dust has settled can we agree that this trailer focused too much on the final act rather than the focus of the movie and maybe, just maybe, gave away too much. I mean I know it wasn't a massive surprise and that the final fight won't matter as much as the relationship between Batman and Superman, but why reveal the 3rd act villain so cheaply. Less is more. On a side note, I don't get why you autists are so ass blasted about Eisenberg. He's clearly using his public facade at the beginning and he will be a sinister and intelligent psycho behind closed doors. Thoughts?
>>
This trailer had marketing team written all over it.
>>
Oh and another side not is stop complaining about how Wondy was supposedly "introduced outta nowhere". That may be a fact in the trailer but she has earlier scenes and it's am edited trailer so it's probably inaccurate af e.g. Batman strapped in the Batmobile or Batwing as Doomsday fires a laser at him then suddenly standing up holding a firearm. Wake up people.
>>
>>77954249
so, BATMAN packs a oozie, huh?
>>
>>77954289
Precisely my thoughts while watching it the editing, the exposition, the quips. Nothing like based Snyder's trailers. This was clearly made for mass audiences and those tuning in to Kimmel's show. Hopefully this was the final trailer.
>>
>>77954249
Well technically we don't know that it gives away to much. I thought the 3rd trailer of MOS gave away too much and the movie was still a lot different than I thought it would be.
>>
>>77954289
Of course it did, that's what a trailer is for.
>>
>>77954343
It will probably just be some sort of sonic gadget or some shit like that not sure why everyone is complaining. In the comics and games he usually has firearm-esque gadgets that are not lethal. Just nit picking desu.
>>
>>77954249
First time I watched it I thought it was kind of an odd trailer. After watching it a few more times on the uncompressed version you can download from WB, it looks amazing.
>>
>>77954384
True that. I'm sure there are more twists and turns that have not yet been revealed.

there's probably one or two more before the movie's released and one of them will heavily feature Wonder Woman because now the major complaint is she hasn't had any lines in the trailers
>>
>>77954476
Snyder usually makes his own trailers. Although, with Watchmen you can definitely tell the final trailer wasn't made by him also. This is just WB throwing out money shots.
>>
>>77954390
Trailers that reach out to normies are always accompanied by annoyances. All my "hardcore comic fans" who are just MCU fags gave no shits about this movie until this trailer. One of them even went on a rant about how the "I thought she was with you" quip was supposedly a super famous Frank Miller quote and that Goyer was a lazy writer (ignoring the fact it was rewritten by Terrio).
>>
>>77954506
No, that's the final trailer. You'll start seeing TV spots, but that's it. On another note, Suicide Squad's trailer was approved, so it's probably gonna be released soon.
>>
>>77954476
Snyder's are usually love letters to the fans to give them something to hype about before the movie cones out. This was tonally different and edited more generically.
>>
>>77954506
God I hope not. MoS only had 3. Anymore for this one would just ruin everything.

I know bro. Then again his batarangs and gadgets wont do shit to what they're fighting assuming it's Doomsday.
>>
>>77954249
>gave away too much.

This really has no significance until the movie is released. It showed more than it did before, but only partially contextualized what we know from the synopsis.

Also the comic-con trailer was for comic fans, which is why it was a fan-service tease more than anything about the characters and why everyone still for the most part had no idea about what exactly this movie is about. This trailer is for the general public and needs to contextualize that information imo. But I still don't think they showed "too much" because of all the implications you can garner from the trailers.

We have a scene where we, presumably, see Lex doing something to the human tree thing from Zod's ship. But for some reason, Superman is there behind him. If this is really Lex creating Doomsday, talking about his way of killing Superman by using the devil, why is Superman there and complicit with it? Does that have anything to do with the congressional hearing we see at the start of the first trailer? Or the Superman bowing before Lex? What does Superman just watching Lex create Doomsday say about the scene where he, again only presumably, asks Lex what he's done, presumably about Doomsday? Is the Superman we see standing behind Lex even Superman and Bizarro theories are actually real? The mad max desert scene seemed to almost certainly be a dream sequence but with some possible implications from the above questions and the clear Darkseid soldiers appearing there make it seem like there is more to this? Is it a real sequence and be a lead-in to the Justice League movie?

My overall point though is that we can only think that they showed too much when you let your mind wander and connect dots from what they showed you. There's still very little objective information in the trailer and just as you can infer plot points to come to a conclusion that maybe they showed too much, you can infer a lot of other things to say the opposite using the exact same information
>>
I can agree that the trailer maintained my hype. I haven't been diagnosed for anything though.

I am one of those weirdos who likes bot DC and Marvel. I am a bit more pumped on Civil War, but this looks great too. And who is to say we saw the final act?

Maybe they have an initial fight with Doomsday, it ends prematurely somehow, that is what brings them together, and then they have a second climactic fight with him in his final (spikey) form?

You know I hear this posted everywhere but was this actually said at some point by someone? Because I don't know why I'm supposed to believe otherwise from the trailer. He was doing the retarded "come to me" pose with Zod's body and that's very behind closed doors.
>>
>>77954517
I'd be surprised if that's true, most directors are far too busy to do anything but give notes to the specialised trailer companies that exist solely to make successful trailers and do it very well indeed.

It would explain a lot about his films, though.

It's just a mugging. Comedy beat before the big fight.

It's probably trying to distinguish its plot early so that MCU fans don't assume it's a rip on the Cap/Tony divide Marvel have been building up for the last couple of movies. Being seen as a copycat isn't a good thing if you want to be taken seriously, and the last thing they want to do is spend or be thought to have spent $250 million making the equivalent of The Asylum's Avengers.

Anon, making a "come to me" gesture doesn't mean he's going to be overly goofy and quirky behind closed doors. He's just enthusiastic. Eisenberg was casted for a reason. They want someone who is not physically imposing but still powerful merely through intelligence and resources. I'm sure over time he will get darker and we will get more Social Network Mark Zuckerberg-esque moments from him before he goes full evil, bald promo shot Lex. I see this as Stage One Lex. Pic related will hopefully be his "final form".
>>
>>77957059
He's being a smug douche in all his "private" scenes. He's not going to change from that.
>>
>>77956823
Zods broadcast and the fact that the US military found out so word could've travelled. Hell Clark himself could've said it. I mean if he supposedly writes articles about Superman, he'd probably publish the name in one of them.
>>
>>77954249
They are just trying to do way too much in a single movie, Superman V Batman, Wonder Woman, Lex , Doomsday and maybe Darkseid

Its gonna be a shit show
>>
>>77954249
>but why reveal the 3rd act villain so cheaply.

because it's fucking Doomsday. It doesn't spoil anything really significant as he literally is there as a brainless punching bag that exists only to make the stakes seem high and if anything, this ought to be exciting for people as the final battle ought to be absolutely epic with Bats, Supes and Wondie all fighting him together in glorious scale of collateral damage
>>
>>77957132
Well assuming it's true that something happens to him such as cancer from spending time around Kryptonite, it would make sense for him to lose that side and become bitter and filled with hatred, especially if Supes and the others whoop his ass as well and stamp out his pride and ego. Likelihood is Doomsday will fuck shit up and Lex will ironically be blamed for the mass destruction, which is what motivates him to fight Supes in the first place.
>>
>>77956877

>>
>>77957255
Darkseid will be hinted at, not seen or play a major role.
>>77957256
I don't consider it a spoiler but they might as well have saved it for the movie rather than reveal cheaply in the trailer. Its just a weird business move is all I meant. Now more people will have the "hurr now I don't need to watch it" mentality.
>>
>>77957015
Sounds basic as fuck to me. Probably wasn't even the original plan since Snyder tried to defend Superman's actions in MoS
>>
>>77957301
Well Clark finds out through Jor-El, and then tells the military, who probably tell everyone else the origin of the species that attacked the earth through press etc. It really doesn't matter to be honest.
>>
>>77957314
Arent there Parademons in the trailer though?

Even still, its way too much in one movie, they are trying so hard to catch up with Marvel and its gonna backfire hard
>>
>>77954289
WB wants to expand the possible audience for the movie so they released a trailer directly targeted at casuals, kids and families. It helps debunk the whole "DC is edgy/no fun" stigma even if it's at the cost of making the movie look stupid unlike the CC trailer. No wonder they're playing this trailer before Star Wars.

Still, Lex looks like a clown.
>>
>>77957314
Doomsday reveal is there to inficate to retards that Batman and Superman punching each other isn't the entire movie and that by the end they plus Diana will unite and fight a bigger threat, something that most of us kinda knew since day one to happen but not everybody are as genre savvy so it needs to be blatantly obvious
>>

Oh wait, it's not from the movie, it's from your ass.
>>
>>77957420
It's even in the synopsis

>Gotham City-based vigilante Batman travels to Metropolis to preemptively combat Superman, fearing what would happen if the latter is kept unchecked, while another threat endangers humankind.
>>
>>77957454
Of course it's not seen but then please tell me how the fuck Swanwick and Hamilton called them Kryptonians in the movie if Clark didn't tell them at some point when I their custody? Jesus Christ. Stop crying to be spoonfed.
>>
>>77957373
We're just assuming they are for now. But yes they most likely are. A WB exec said that the Knightmare dream sequence will be caused by the JL villain so like I said they probably won't blow their load and show Darkseid but he will be hinted at.
>>
>>77957343
>basic as fuck
Not really, most sequels reference bits of the previous movie or outright ignore them and tell a new story featuring the same character, this movie (even if it's not called a sequel) and its characters are directly influenced by the stuff that happened in Man of Steel.
>>
>>77958152
Again, those are the basic qualifications of a sequel.
>>
>>77956130

>Batman hates Superman because he caused million deaths
>They fight each other even though a simple sit down conversation would make them friends.
>Lex creates Doomsday from Zod's DNA.
>They fight together to kill Doomsday and become friends.
>WW and Aquaman show up during the movie to so we can have a Justice League sequel.

This movie is gonna be so much worse than Civil War. And I only compare them because Civil War might as well be called "Captain America vs. Iron Man". The characters have no background, no emotional attachment, the resolution (Big Evil that must be fought) has been spoiled, the fights are over-blown (at least the punches in Civil War had some umph).

Also, why is Bruce and Clark meeting a big deal to Lex?

You'd better pray to Jesus that the final fight is an incredible spectacle of CGI and pounding symphonic music, because Cavill and Affleck exchanging weak quippery at each other in an attempt at "chemistry" sounds fucking horrible, and adding Gadot to the the formula isn't going to help at all.

I'm saying that RDjr, Evans and Scarjo deliver vastly superior performances to Affleck, Cavill and Gadot.

Scarjo has probably taken shits in the bathroom more acclaim worthy than Gadot's finest performance. Affleck is mostly known for playing vaguely confused looking upset guys, and Cavill is the male Megan Fox.

Every second she was on screen in AoU was torture and the only memorable thing about her role in any of the movies is the fact that she has a great ass.

Why? Why do you believe this? Luthor putting on a public facade as generous, likable, and a philanthropist has been a core part of the character for decades. Why do you suddenly believe that's how he's going to be behind closed doors?

Lex Luthor has been in no short order:
-A mad scientist hellbent on revenge because Superman made him bald.
-A supervillain masquerading as a costumed hero in order to rob banks.
-An overweight balding corporate executive.
-A Machiavellian Renaissance Man
-A comical real estate mogul
-And most recently an energy drink addicted overweight douche.

Also, he's the anti-terrorist superhero in a very explicit way; even if you disagree with the War on Terror, you must understand why that is appealing to a lot of audience members. For that matter, have you really not noticed that people love watching the redemption of a troubled bad-boy?

His character is enduring because RDJ is playing RDJ on screen and makes funny jokes and condescends to people in a funny way. Tony Stark the character however is a loathsome piece of shit of which the films go out of their way to ignore the consistently awful things he does.

The films don't really ignore his character flaws. They downplay them, but they consistently allude to them. He delves into raging, dangerous alcoholism in one film, in the next film his girlfriend is monitoring his drinking and confiscating it when he starts to act out too much. He starts having traumatic flashbacks to a near-death experience, the villains use that to fuck with his head. He refuses to stop building dangerous artificial intelligences... Cap and his other teammates lose faith in him (even after the second attempt succeeds), the public begins demanding accountability for Avengers, Hank Pym mocks the team's reckless endangerment and uses this as an argument against calling the Avengers for help, and then Stark starts to feel bad and rapidly backpedals and tries to make up for it by allying with the government on their new restrictions.

Tony Stark is an egomaniac supergenius who really, really means well, but has trouble seeing things from other people's points of view or accepting outside critique. That's not some heroic paragon, but it's relatable to a lot of people, and it makes for an interesting and engaging character. RDJ quips and charisma help, though.

Flawed-but-charismatic man, either young or permanently trapped in a state of charmingly boyish irresponsibility, is taken out of his element by sci-fi terrorist shenanigans. he and his charming (except for Betty Ross) love interest, and often a small cadre of wacky sidekicks, must defeat the terrorist mastermind, who is always an evil inventor/industrialist or a space alien. The villain almost always believes in maintaining a self-serving order through terror, usually with some level of obfuscation. At the end, the hero (who has reconciled some of their personal neuroses and settled their romantic tension with the female lead to the audience's relative satisfaction, and recently passed a personal test of character) must fight a bigger/scarier evil version of themselves, and/or stop a very large airship from crashing/shooting upon civilians below.

With VERY slight variations, that is almost every Marvel movie.

>He delves into raging, dangerous alcoholism in one film

Stark's alcoholism has nothing to do with the fact that he spent his entire life as an arms dealer. Tony Stark's anxiety in Age of Ultron has nothing to do with the fact that even though he's left that life behind him, he's still consistently producing weapons of mass destruction. His first movie literally champions the fact that he murders insurgents that he is directly responsible for arming in a region he helped destabilize. In the age of ISIS and everything we did to destroy that region, it's a really fucking bad look.

The movies might allude to these points, like when the twins bring up the fact that they were shelled by Stark munitions, but even then there's absolutely no resolution. Ultron kills Quicksilver (which is 100% Tony's fault in all ways), and Scarlet Witch never brings it up again. That's the problem with these movies, they want to have it both ways, Tony Stark is an asshole who's trying to do right, but he also never learns his lesson at any point, consistently puts people in danger, and is a massive hypocrite who never see reprisal, Age of Ultron is particuarly guilty of this but it's a running theme in pretty much all of these movies and it comes down to tepid writing and an overseeing company that doesn't want to deal with the fact that the lead character of their universe should be imprisoned for crimes against humanity. Tony Stark isn't an anti-terrorist superhero, he IS the terrorist. I mean jesus, how many of these movies are about cleaning up his fucking messes?

Fuck Tony Stark. If there was any justice in this universe, he would be tried in a Kangaroo Court before rotting to death in a Middle Eastern dungeon.

>Stark's alcoholism has nothing to do with the fact that he spent his entire life as an arms dealer

Why should it? Those are both treated as flaws. They don't need to be related. His philanthropy and superheroism (including killing the dangerous insurgents he armed, and destroying their weapons stockpiles) are explicitly an attempt to make recompense for his former career.

>Ultron kills Quicksilver (which is 100% Tony's fault in all ways), and Scarlet Witch never brings it up again

Because he wouldn't have made Ultron if she hadn't fucked with his head, and Ultron might have been stopped before it got to that point if she and Quicksilver hadn't sided with him. Presumably, she recognizes this, and her own culpability.

>Tony Stark isn't an anti-terrorist superhero, he IS the terrorist. I mean jesus, how many of these movies are about cleaning up his fucking messes?

I'm not sure you know what a terrorist is, actually. It's different than a war-criminal, which he probably ACTUALLY is.

http://marvelcinematicuniverse.wikia.com/wiki/Battle_of_New_York#Aftermath

"Hundreds" died and it cost $160 billion. Probably still unrealistically low, I'll grant you, but they also put more effort into showing The Avenegrs doing crowd control, herding civilians out of the way, and other stuff to help suspend disbelief. Superman and Zod's battle had more spectacular destruction, and rather than showing a bunch of shots of Superman aiding, moving, or protecting civilians in the midst of the action, they cut to bleak shots of civilians trying to rescue each other while terrified and relatively helpless, with mixed results. I'm not saying Avengers' is realistic at all, but it definitely puts more effort and focus into making their overly-optimistic result seem vaguely plausible.
>>
>>77961733
>Probably still unrealistically low, I'll grant you, but they also put more effort into showing The Avenegrs doing crowd control

Doing crowd control amounted to Tony flying into one of the whales, causing it to explode, and hurtle into the base of a building, Captain America telling a cop to do his job, and Black Widow and Hawkeye evacuating a bus. This is literally all they did.
>>
>>77961733

All they had to so to show that Superman cared was to have him shout "Get yourself to safety" or something to a group of people and then have Zod go after somebody, Have Superman grab him by the collar and throw him up into the sky and proceeded to do that multi punch combo into space
>>
>>77961843
The Avengers start the fight proper by discussing ways to contain the destruction to a relatively small area and get civilians out of harm's way. They then show those scenes, as well as that one of Hulk barreling through the office building to intercept the space-whale before it can crash into it, preventing the greater damage it would have caused in his own, relatively less destructive, way. From the earlier discussion, and the scenes we DO see, it can be inferred that the Avengers are continuing to assist and protect the police evacuation, contain the Chitauri, and protect pockets of stranded civilians off-screen as well. We don't need to see literally every instance, because that would be monotonous to the viewer. Instead, we get a highlight reel of the Avengers protecting people and doing cool/cheesy combo moves.

Compare this to Man fo Steel's approach. Superman COULD be saving civilians when we aren't looking, or making an effort to, but we see relatively few scenes which imply this; those we DO see lack the hopeful/successful atmosphere of Avengers' scenes, and the result is consequently more ambiguous. With the more dramatically-destructive visuals during and after the battle, and the relative lack of successful rescues on-screen, and without even any token shots of characters saying "we've evacuated a bunch of civilians!" or some shit, it's easy to assume the worst, especially when the tone at the battle's conclusion is so bleak and sad. People (as evident from comments on this board and in reviews) certainly viewed it that way. It may be partly confirmation bias or shallow reading, but it's also partly to do with the way the battles are filmed, the over all tone of the respective films, and the scenes and exchanges of dialogue they each choose to show us.

>>77961865
This. One or two extra scenes, even very quick ones like this, can totally change the feel of the devastation from "small apocalypse" to "survivable catastrophe, mostly averted".
>>
>>77962207
why are we comparing first day Superman to a group of 6 veteran heroes?

I rolled my eyes in AoU when they pulled this shit, when Hulk conveniently stopped attacking Tony for 20 seconds for him to save people in an elevator, in a fight where Tony could barely keep hulk off of him. That's just terrible writing.

You think Zod or the World Engine is going to fuck off for 20 seconds with his dick in his hand for Superman to go save one person? The stakes felt appropriately real, there's a reason all the marvel villains are garbage and that's because they're incredibly fake and without weight.

I don't think it gave too much away. The ONLY big reveal was Doomsday. But they didn't show Cyborg, Aquaman or any of the other non-Trinity heroes. To say that showing what was going to happen in the final act, i.e. Bats and Supes teaming up, was giving away too much means the person has obviously never even looked at a comic book before. Ray Charles can see that happening a mile away and he's not only blind but, you know.. dead! If you feel that this spoils the movie you are obviously not a fan of the comic medium and hence NOT the target audience for the film. Two heroes, especially Superman and Batman, fighting and then teaming up to take out the real threat has happened so many times in comics and cartoons it has become a cliche.

>ll they had to so to show that Superman cared was to have him shout "Get yourself to safety"

Doesn't take 20 seconds or require Zod to stop attacking. In fact, the anon suggested he keep attacking, and Superman stop him on screen. One or two more scenes like that, man, and a slightly mroe upbeat conclusion to teh fight. Maybe Supes snaps Zod's neck, but then instead of just cutting away from him sobbing on his knees into his girlfriend's dress, or in a scene a few minutes later, we see the unvaporized family he saved by killing Zod thank him. Maybe we see some civilians crawling up from subway systems where they hunkered down, up into the light. We get an overhead shot, showing that most of Metropolis is still intact. A cheer goes up. Some soaring music.

I know it's cheesy. That's okay. So are superheroes, more often than not. So is SUPERMAN.

Best part? You still get destruction and realism, but highlight Superman's unrelenting commitment to protecting every person he can, and get a better sense of the victory he has achieved, the lives he saved, and the hope he has inspired. You know--the stuff Jor-El is always yammering on about? The central themes besides alienation and the grim weight of responsibility? SOMETHING upbeat?

That is certainly the way it was shot, yes. Which makes it a less hopeful movie than if, say, Zod took slightly longer to get to full power, and Superman was able to wind him once or twice and devote a brief scene or two to things that weren't punching. That would have been a different but equally valid editorial decision which would obviate the need for this discussion, and change the tone of the fight.

Fair enough I think it might have detracted from the fight scene, maybe even lessen the threat that Zod poses.

In the Battle of Metropolis, he saves some civilians from some falling rubble and a truck, briefly. We get no reaction shots, and Superman is rapidly blindsided on both occasions, in ways that cause things to explode and topple faster than before. We get no shot of civilians making it clear, despite being right near that destruction moments before. This plays into >>77962857; Superman's brief attempts to rescue civilians lead to distraction and losing his advantage. Again, though, that's a directorial choice. Because these aren't real events, they don't need to play out that way. Because Snyder and co CHOSE to shoot the fight that way, the tone of the film and the toll of the battle are often viewed by audiences as less heroic and more depressing. I'm not sure how your arguments, rooted in practical considerations in-universe, relate to my criticism of the directorial choices Snyder made.

>>
>>77963007
Show Superman save a bunch. Show Zod kill one or two on-screen. Have him hit peak power and start really wrecking shit, causing much larger-scale destruction and beginning to win. It gets to the point where Superman is having trouble restraining him and he's about to roast a family. Supes, knowing that he won;t be able to keep up with him much longer, finally has to kill him... But it feels more like a last resort, and the prior scenes with Zod still gaining momentum and Superman rescuing civilians on-screen help to establish his character better and to make the need for him to go from a focus on saving/sparing lives to ending one even more tragic.
>>
This guy summed it up pretty well.
>Rather than "edgy," the new "BvS" trailer felt like it could best be described as something else: Over the top. In a good way; in a way that superhero fare of this scale should be. In three minutes, viewers see a deliberately goofball Lex Luthor, Superman racing a Batwing, Batman grappling-gunning out of the way of a heat vision blast, Superman saving a rocket like it's no big deal and a mad scientist Lex seemingly Frankenstein-ing Zod's corpse into Doomsday. That's all before Wonder Woman shows up -- and were those Parademons flying around? Even though Batman has no superpowers and often has street-level adventures, it feels meaningful that this is the way DC and WB have chosen to introduce Ben Affleck's take on the character -- literally standing shoulder to shoulder with gods.
>>

Because they were stopping buildings from being obliterated, not doing the obliterating.
>>

They didn't shoot it that way because Superman told them it was impractical. They set up a scenario in which it would be impractical for Superman to rescue people. The realistic constraints of the fight didn't prevent them from writing in some civvy-saving scenes, because THEY DECIDED THE CONSTRAINTS. I normally frown upon buzzwords, but are you literally autistic? The writers and directors decide what will happen, not the characters.

Mostly. Batmans view on guns is that cowards use them, they conflict with his no kill rule, and that it represents the object of his parents murder. However he isn't stupid. There are times when a situation requires precision in which a rifle based tool is needed. At best its firing grenades or its sonic weaponry. And he uses explosives all the time, whether it be bombs or detonating batarangs. The general audience however, and mostly the American audience, sees anything like a gun and freak out because immediately their minds go to Batman using it all the friggin time like hes Frank Castle

Here's another that boggles the mind. People out there actually LIKE Death of Superman.

My criticism: the scenario was written in such a way that Superman cannot save people very effectively on screen, even early in the fight; the director then shoots scenes and plots the fight in a way that leads many viewers to feel as if Superman isn't really trying to save people, or doing so very well

Your counter-argument thus far: But Zod is a badass and Superman couldn't stop punching him or he'd lose! They couldn't shoot it any otehr way! That's just how the fight WAS!

Me: But they could have written the fight differently.

You: Nuh-uh, because Superman was a lone rookie and Zod was just too tough to even knock far away for a few moments while Superman did some other stuff! That's just how the fight was, and there was no way for the writers or directors to change it.

Again, anon, the fight is not a real event. My criticism is not of Superman's actions, which are indeed constrained by the way the fight was written. My complaint, and I think the root of MANY similar complaints, is that it was not written and filmed to showcase a more optimistic and uplifting interpretation. Just because the way the fight was written precludes that, it doesn't mean it HAD to be written that way. That's not how fiction works.

My roommate's like that. He really thinks a big slugfest between Superman and a spiky monster is the penultimate Superman story.

Issues with reading comprehension? It's okay. Not every autistic is high-functioning. You'll get it at your own pace.

>Hurr you're autistic cause you don't agree with me
>Gets mad when it's gets thrown back to him
>There was no scene of Superman telling people to get to safety
>There actually was
>n-n-n-o I'm talking about the Zod fight when Superman was out stopping the world engine
>Makes an invalid comparison to the Avengers where someone like Thor wasn't shown saving anyone
>Superman actually saved more people in this movie than all his previous incarnations.
>Pseudo-intellectual wannabe smartass critique that does nothing but make him look dumber than he actually is.
>People like you still criticize him for snapping someone's neck while he was about to vaporize an entire family

Yeah a movie where Clark "dies" and is inactive throughout with a clone running around, sounds fun. The worse they could do in this film with Doomsday is underpower him. As long as Clark is hurting during this fight, its fine.

They did plenty of obliterating. The tone was kept light so no one noticed.
