Last weekend's thread we talked about:

-What kind of jobs The Collective would do
-Talk about Duet and other alien stuff
-The /aco/lyte Wizard was included among The /Co/smic Ones to replace a more parody centric member
-More of that Erin story
-The Moribund Marquess and The Devout Symphony seem to have caught on to fill the two remaining demon king positions
-Continued progress on the Lovely Ladybug Summer Special
-Flying Brick and Mean Teens (Shade, Melting Point, others) saw some revival of interest, as well as Stretcherous getting mixed up with them
-Chatter about /co/ntainment's G-Squad
-More story ideas about JD/Wells/Theta (their story still needs a name since Trinity isn't cutting it)

Was thinking on how the Longorias used the same ability differently. Blackstrap uses her for size changing akin to say Ms. Marvel while Stretcherous is more elastic like Elonagted Man or Helen Parr. Thats how i see it anyways.

These threads have been just running in place for years.

Might also explain why their choice in costume design is different.

One is tailored for stretching in long directions, the other is tailored to expanding.

Who even makes the super clothes in the /co/verse?

She has a weaponized tree.

Though she probably makes large anonymous donations of toys/funding to the orphanages in her city-state during the season.

Well, there are several projects going here and there, but some of us are slow. Also sometimes people don't notice project that they are not interested in. Fair enough but that's different from doing nothing.
>>
>>77947565
I don't like making myself identifiable in the threads since I feel most of the stuff I contribute on are better off without someone linking them to me.
That way no one can target the idea for any personal grievances they may develop against me.

The good contributors tend to stay anonymous.

The Moribund Marquess, from last thread

>When the the King of Midnight began his conquest, his power could be felt across a multitude of the demon realms. A powerful orange warlord swore to find this power and destroy it, marching out to meet him at the head of a great army. When at last the warlord saw the King, he was awed and, sensing opportunity, approached under a gesture of peace, offering himself as general of the King's army.

>The King of Midnight had only just exited his realm of power, and so the warlord was the first living thing that he had seen and that had seen him, and to know that the first thing that had seen him recognized his royalty and kneeled before him pleased him beyond measure. Whereas normally the blue demon's pride and disdain would have led him to refuse, his mirth led him to accept. The warlord was rewarded with his own realm of power and fought as the sole ally of the King.

>When the King was sealed away, the warlord was defeated, deposed and deboned. His flesh was feasted on, though his heart was too tough to be eaten, his skin was used as leather for the Liar's Throne, and his bones were scattered throughout the Shattered Stormfront.

>It was discovered in time that any who held his heart, wore one of his bones and had sat his throne was able to command his power, but while his heart remained, it could never truly be taken. This sparked a ceaseless battle between rival demons to lay claim to the throne and the heart. Any foolish enough to believe themselves in control are called Moribund, for of course their death is soon to find them.

>One need not even be an orange demon to take the throne and in fact the current Moribund is a red demon wearing the warlord's skull.

Also, described as looking like a crystal goldfish.

Thoughts? Personally I like it, though I think we might be leaning too much on demons having colors.
I think it's not the demon's physical color, but they have auras that take on colors when they get enough power.
>>
And also from last thread

>The Devout Symphony
>Teal
>Presides over the Immaculate Structure

>A being that has often been mistaken for capital G God, obsessed with fastidiousness, order and discipline. Its true appearance is unknown, as it folds its one hundred wings around its body into a completely perfect sphere. Even the slightest misplaced feather is an obscenity, a blemish of disorder.

>The Immaculate Structure is mirrored across every dimension at least up to and including fifth dimensional space, so that it can be navigated by any being, but is nearly impossible to truly fathom, giving all viewers a quiet discomfort at the realization of the limits of their scope of perception.

>As demons are beings of magic, their appearance is somewhat dependent on their strength of will. Any faults or asymmetry are thought to be lapses of concentration, and a weakness of their focus. A creature so disorganized and imperfect as a human is both fascinating and abhorrent to the Devout Symphony.

>possibly a war machine built to coordinate the armies fighting The Lonely King

Thoughts on this too?
I just hope The Immaculate Structure isn't too similar to the way The Cryptic Skein is described.
>>
>>77951545
The Immaculate Structure isn't inhabited by other demons besides the Symphony. Due to the nature of it's mirrored dimensions, there's only a single point in the structure where a being will exist in a single point, the exact space the Symphony occupies.

Other colored demons find living in the Structure unsettling, and other teal demons don't believe themselves worthy of it.
>>
>>77950493
The thing about Ladybug is it's really not a committee type of thing, like the rest of /coc/ is, at this point. It's a small group of people who have taken executive control over creating comics, which is the only way anything can really get done. A thread full of idea guys can only get so far, believe me, I've been there.
>>
>>77951950
I still think a demon's "color" in the sense that we're talking about shouldn't be a physical thing.

Sure there are blue devils and red demons and whatever else, but I think the colors that the kings use comes from them having so much magic to channel that it makes their auras visible, and each demon has an aura, but there's no way to know what color it is unless they get a lot of power.

Like The Fire Witch, she's not really vermilion colored, that's just her clothing and all the huge concentrations of magic surrounding her making her look vermilion.

I'm not saying it's hat way for all of them, but there wouldn't be such a thing as a race of demons that are a set color.

In the case of teal, it should be demons who wear teal as in they have pledged their loyalty to The Devout Symphony who don't think themselves worthy of it and other demons who get power from one of the other kings should feel particularly uncomfortable there, more so than when around other kings who aren't their master.

There's kind of a postergirl for different categories.

>General purpose: Colette
>Lighthearted/Comedy: Marley
>Drama: Alex
>Fantasy: Erin
>Standalone: Briana

Some are a little less clear. Space Opera could be Inva or Kay2. GG falls under standalone, but is less prominent than Bri.
>>
>>77974173
That gives a completely different meaning to "wrapped package".
>>
>>77972467
Red Lazer Bones is too psychopathic to work outside of /co/ntainment's labs.

And Skull King probably wouldn't get that directly involved with what's happening in the world. He's more like a therapist than a fighter, or at least that's the way he tries to present himself.

Though as a nickname for their club, it might work.

I'm not sure how well the term space opera could be applied to the space logs I do with them.

By definition it might apply more to Inva than Kay-2, but Inva isn't exactly very poster girl-like.

They all have different sectors and different policies and laws to uphold from species to species.

/co/ girls slumber party when?
>>
>>77987642
Hmm.

This makes me think of crossovers.

The first time Supermoms crossed over with the prime /co/verse is when the Sageworthy Society breached the dimensional barrier and invaded Sapphire City.

Then Breast Wars with BreastQuest being added into the mix.

I guess Breast Wars II would have Golden Girl.
>>
>>77987842
>I guess Breast Wars II would have Golden Girl.

Man GG's universe would be totally unprepared for that level of invasion.
>>
>>77987913
I was thinking it would be more like "ripped from the comic pages" type of situation since GG is a comic in the prime /co/verse. Lovely Ladybug would be mad about her since she read the old GG strips and thought she'd just get huge boobs one day because of the way it was presented.
GG would be surprised that LL even notices them.

If we go with the idea of The Archives being involved, then it's more than doable. If there's a villainous /Co/smic One or if a villain got into The Archives, or even something like if some of the books got dropped and their pages mixed together would work as the excuse for the plot to happen.

In a lot of ways, the way I would like to use The Archivist is like the chorus in classical Greek theatre where she would address the readers directly to explain some of the details.

Or it could've been someone else who dropped the pages and stuffed them into the same book.

Whisper has been known to bother The Archivist sometimes to make impossible things happen in the /co/verse.
Distracting her from properly organizing books so characters from other settings can say where they are, surprising her to make her drop books, popping in on The /aco/lyte Wizard and doing... something to make an effect happen within the stories. Probably telling him which universes have the biggest boobs.

Or maybe it was Skull King who left some books open next to each other.

That's just one way to do a crossover if you want a lot of self-awareness and meta stuff involved rather than have a character invent a portal.

I think she'd adapt quickly since she's genre savvy.

Though she might gain an appreciation for how everyone back home doesn't notice her boobs after it's all said and done.

I don't really want to talk about Breast Wars II since Breast Wars' outline was never actually finished.

Maybe Breast Wars, or whatever we actually got down of it, should get put up on the wiki just so more people will actually see it and maybe finish at least the outline of it.

I think that's because of all the weirdos they fight on a day-to-day basis.

Maybe GG has a little bit of bust envy of Bri. Not necessarily that she's jealous of the size but suddenly she's no longer the biggest in the room, she's not special anymore. Especially in a non-golden age setting where people would notice that.

I don't know if the guy who was offering to draw is actually going to do it or not.

It's usually 50/50 when someone offers like that.
And it's usually Gob when new pics come of it since the others who typically offer have names most of the time when they do.

And we still need to think of a name for this New Lamenton adventure.
>>
>>77996638
Something that's simple to read with the eyes but distinct enough to be remembered.
I think it's best to not really think about a title just yet since it hasn't really garnered any popularity that much.
>>
Time to see if this thread will still be up in the daylight hours.

>>77996638
And "New Lamenton Adventures" doesn't really feel like it would work since it makes me think the focus would be constantly changing from character to character and that their only connection would be they're all in the same city.

Maybe "Hero's Game" or "A game of Supers"? Game options...

A story about two bros pretending to be a super hero and a super villain and someone who believes their game and forces them to actually become their roles.
Nothing seems to have that catchy ring a title should have for this.

Just call it "Hero" then maybe add a slogan like "What makes you?"
All three of them have their own unique perceptions on what defines being one and the heavy burdens that comes along with it. Meet young adults, JD, Wells and Theta as their fates soon collide in a city that will forever change it for history to come.

Alright, so i'm more of a world builder than an actual writer, but i've been banned from a couple of places and as such have been neutered in my creative expression. What parts of the /co/nservatory need expanding in that area? I work better with groundwork and a direction.
>>
>>77999125
>but i've been banned from a couple of places
Why?
>>
>>77999318
Disagreements with moderation. Some people are more interested in thought policing in chat than they are with greater creative expression.
>>
>>77999337
e.g. using the word faggot is an escalatingly bannable offense in chat, even if you've written pages and pages of game rules and background text
>>
>>77999354

are you more of a serious writer-type or do you do more campy, comedy stuff?
>>
>>78000158
https://docs.google.com/document/d/16qRa40pUxALl_aLF2MAvqFgAxXaZ_PAFfJEkGUIHubU/edit?usp=sharing

General example. The basis is 'hard', but I throw in comedy where it fits. I find attempts to be excessively grimdark, especially where superpowers are involved, somewhat boring. As I said, I like 'technical' writing. I'm not much of a fiction/story guy, but I really enjoy expanding on organizations and the greater world.
>>
>>78000236

grimdark wouldn't fit with the overall ton of /coc/ characters anyway as most of them are either parodies or are based on jokes and wordplays.
>>
>>78000236
The Machine Cult might benefit from an in-depth takedown. They seem like they'd have a rigorous structure but said structure isn't actually there yet.

>>

Golden Girl and [Ghost, Archenemy, Theta] crossover when?
JD will probably keep asking her if she's wearing the right bra size and always try to tell her to "cover up" since she looks really young for a girl that endowed.
Wells will be irked by her appearance just by first glance, constantly muttering under his breath how she's a freak of nature.
Andy will be confused how well she fights under her "conditions" and probably just hand her a firearm so it doesn't flail around.
>>
>>78003928
Theta would give someone a gun just like that?

I always thought she had trust issues.
>>
>>78003969
Yeah I was thinking how it's at a time where their problems are now resolved and now are in good terms with one another (despite Wells still getting used to it and Andy is still learning how to expand her little trust circle) especially since all three are together trapped in GG's era and now have to find a way to get back.

Audrey jokes practically write themselves now, especially since JD grew up from that good and well-adjusted family you've always wanted.
I think JD is the youngest amongst the three I think being 17 (senior high school) with Wells only a few months older then Andy being 19 -20
>>
>>77988932

Strummer needs to dye her mohawk red with a white tip for Christmas.
>>
>>78004421
If the time travel thing is still how "part one" ends, then JD would end up being around 20 while Wells is still 18.

I hope the time travel thing isn't being thrown out since the way it's planned it actually makes for a plot where time travel isn't just thrown in because it can be.

Or non-singulars, as some of the deeper demons would say.
The planes don't tend to have parallels like the universes do, or at least not in the same way.

Using the planes to get from one universe to a parallel one requires some tricky work with a mirror or a proxy plane (which is really just space between planes) like what the elder god monsters go through.

Main /co/verse villains?
I need more Ursus McFlannigan in my life. I had an idea for a comic strip, with each one's title being a bear pun.
The first one would be "Teddy, Set, Go!". McFlannigan enters a marathon, and realizes he's too overweight to be doing this, so he enlists some fast rabbits to carry him on a sleigh.
>>
>>78027295
Are talking animals more common in Europe than the Americas in the /co/verse?

It seems like whenever Ursus McFlannigan gets brought up there's always an implied entourage of other talking animals.
>>
>>78027579
There are certain intelligent animals like chaptor and that pterodactyl, but the little critters I imagine are just regular obedient animals. Kinda like Squirrel Girl's pet squirrel.
>>
>>78027579
Bloop lives in America.
Though he talks fish.
>>
>>78027862
Chaptor (raptor, British)
Ursus McFlannigan (bear, Irish)
Vladimir Corbichiev (triceratops, Russian)
Ook-Lao (chimpanzee)
Najeeb Saif (panther, Arabian)
Svarog Darko (pterodactyl)
Prometheus Dinn (dilophosaurus, Dutch)
Rotpahc (raptor, Scottish)

The only one that comes to mind who is not affiliated with Chaptor nor one of his rogues is Anglorilla.

There's also Chaptor's American cousin, but aside from him being a sheriff, just about anything known about him is gone.
