Are Minions still popular
Found this gem yesterday. Don't know why it's Storm, but whatever.
>Mother: A feat roughly 99% of females are capable of.
>Works 24 hours a day: On call and working are two seperate things.
>[Meaningless list of professions]
>[Meaningless list of other things] And you bet your ass they get sick days.
I find this drivel to be more pathetic than the forced minion thing.
>mom gets endless praise for shit you learn to do by the time you're 15
>dad gets nothing for having an actual job
To be fair, a large purportion of children now a days are born out of wedlock.
Although, that generally just makes the state, and thusly every tax-payer, the ATM. Because with all the well-fare programs added up, they can pull in $60k a year.
I honestly don't get why the minions are even there. It's just random internet pastas, the kind that your mom who doesn't know any better keeps reposting, but with a yellow mascot slapped on it.
>People will actually try this
>some journalist who got stuck writing a column she knows nothing about will suggest this to the readers
Why contain it? Let it spill over the schools and churches, let the bodies pile up in the streets.
I'm not surprised.
I'm reading a few articles here and the complaints are - while a bit sensitive - legitimate. I haven't seen any of this franchise aside from the first film (which I watched with Dad and we both loved it).
Reading descriptions of the "Minons" film just sounds like what happens after a franchise goes on for too long: The attention is on the most marketable characters. Attempts to make a cast more diverse by introducing new characters fall on their face. Lazy writing relies on already done jokes/slapstick/cliches to pad out the film. Etc.
So Scarlett was the only female character in the film and she's placed on a pedestal as "the first female supervillain". I get that they want to empower girls, but that's not really the way to go about it, imo. Again, I haven't seen the film so take what I say with a grain of salt.
Wanting female Minions isn't too much to ask, imo, but the best thing the studio could have done was to make the Minions actually genderless and provide a cast of ambiguous voices/names. But whatever.
I spent too long writing this.
>someone saved my Throbbing Gristle edit
I regret not using Slug Bait lyrics instead, though.
I love laughing at everyone who hates the minions and think they're the spawn of satan.
stay salty my friends.
that's all folks
you made my day. good work.
>I have a proffessor who's fb profile is this.
