My only problem is that it doesn't have a spike on the other end like a fire axe should. That's an axe for splitting wood. Also, the blade should be curved. That's thing is either going to get stuck or those angular corners are going to snap off. Also, you generally want an emergency axe to be a contrasting color instead of matching the interior color scheme of the ship, because if shit goes down and you need to chop your way through a door, you want to be able to find the axe during the commotion/in the debris.

So yeah, the issue should be less about what the axe is doing there and more about how that's a shitty axe.
