What's the point of introducing Coulson in the comics? It's as if DC decided to introduce the fabled CIA dude in the comics and tried to make a big deal out of it. There would be no difference, neither character brings much to the story.

he's a popular character from the movies and the TV show that was introduced into the comics after the fact, like Harley Quinn
whereas the cia dude is a popular meme, like squirrel girl
There isn't any point. It sucked and everyone with a brain hated the storyline where he was introduced.
Theoretically, Marvel wants to transfer some of that fat movie cash into comic revenue, but it's never really worked out.

The storyline sucked, but 616 Coulson is actually pretty based. Wish show Coulson could be more like him.

CIA guy should be introduced as the American answer to NKVDemon and KGBeast: the CIAgent. They can later give him a sidekick named FBInvestigator or something.

But Coulson isn't popular, and neither is his show.

>as if DC decided to introduce the fabled CIA dude in the comics
I'd read it. I wouldn't want it to be obvious though.
>>77910159
I liked him in Kot's Secret Avengers
>>77910100
CIA is better than Harley desu senpai
>>77910231
That's fucking perfect.
What if CIA is the Nolanverse version of King Faraday?
>>77910038
The difference between the two is that if CIA had a comic appearance I would want to buy that.

Coulson represents a fan as a character. He's been following captain america's exploits like we read comic books. He is our self insert character. Always felt he was kinda bland though.

>implying Bill "CIA" Wilson wasn't the Nolonized version of Slade "Deathstroke" Wilson
>>77910038
CIA guy is pratically confirmed to be Slade Wilson, Deathstroke, The Terminator tho.
So he is already on the comics.

>CIAgent
Amazing. Now I'm upset that DC isn't releasing this book.
>>77914659
I'd still like to see Bill Wilson in the comics as Slade's more heroic cousin.
>>77910038
They're probably just as popular
>>77914373
There's already a ton of characters like that, though, and most of them have character beyond that.
