So I don't know anything about comic books. And I rarely post here, but recently I inherited over 100 comic books. They all range from Superman, a few Batman, STEEL, Superboy, Justice League, and a few others.

And I want to sell them.

Thing is, my local comic books store doesn't really buy them from people, and honestly I don't want to get screwed over in pricing.

Any advice /co/ol guys?

You at least read them firsr, right?
Adopt a kid, hide the comics, then die years later, leaving him a kickass treasure hunt.
>>

I'd hate to be there when he tries to coil one out after eating all those burgers.
>>
if they're from after 1980 they're pretty much worthless
just keep them or donate them
>>
First accept that most, if not all, of them won't be worth anything at all. Maybe $1 each if you're lucky.

Then check on ebay for general pricing. You might find a surprise in there, but it's unlikely.

Now once you confirm that they're worth nothing, read them or check with some site like http://www.mycomicshop.com/webuycomics and see if they'll buy it

This. Be sure to also make all the clues in the treasure hunt done in an obstuse, Da Vinci Code style.

Given, I think, Superman's stomach is basically a tiny fusion reactor, I don't think anyone would want to be.

Dude's shit is either dense enough to have its own gravitational pull or so irradiated, he probably needs to use a lead toilet with a concrete and lead-lined septic tank.

Nope haven't read them.

Yeah, they are all '93-'95. I checked online, and were on average $1-$2. That website seems like such a hassle though.

But there are some items that are sealed completey, and can't see through the packaging. What do I do with those?
>>
Do the sealed comics have a number, name or anything?

And really. Only old comics are worth anything.
>>

I would probably just open them. If you're worried that they might be valuable just be careful, but I doubt they'll be worth anything.

If they are all DC, I think the only book that is worth anything from that era is Batman Adventures #12 (Harley's first appearance).

Something like this? Still pretty much worthless.
>>

If your comic shop won't take them, try some pawn shops. If not then craigslist.

Some sites like mycomicshop will buy them but there's the shipping hassle to consider and the likelihood they'll only give you 50 cents apiece for them since they're probably worthless.

Yeah, they were death of Superman books.
>>77910272
Well the guy on the phone said "We sometimes do." Then later said "Not during this time".

But I did find a comic book in a cardboard envolpe. The comic is Superman The Man of Steel. It's encased in a hard clear plastic sleeve. It's also has a signature? I'll try to get a pic

Signed by the inker Dennis Janke. Not nearly as interesting as if it had been signed by Weezie or Bog.
