Recommend some French cartoons?
So far I liked Les triplettes de belleville, La vieille dame et les pigeons, Le grandes grandes vacance, Lou!, and Wakfu(mostly the Nox Special episode, the rest wasn't that good).
You haven't seen Ernest & Celestine???

Nope. I'll watch it.
Oggy and the cockroaches, space goofs, the daltons, hubert and takako

I watched Oggy and the cockroaches, i'll see the rest.
Persepolis, although that's an American/French co-production

Have you seen Masters of Time? Check that one out. Also has Grandes vacance been completely subbed yet?

Save it for a special night dude. You wouldn't just look at a girl when you're 14 and just go and bang her. You save it for someone special you know. In that regard Ernest and celestine is the same as your virginity man. Save it for a good night with someone real close to you, deep down in your heart you know. You know man. Once it's passed you'll look back and regret it if you rushed it you know

It hasn't. I watched it raw without understanding much. I'll check out Masters of Time.

Oh alright, guess I will have to watch the rest untranslated too then. Or just check out the German dub.

I may take your advice.

It's a shame, really. I like the show a lot, and I hope it'll get a deserved sub.

I'll recommend Insektors.
First full-CGI cartoon, hasn't aged too badly, and got a nice environmentalist story and twists.
Not a masterpiece, but a nice milestone of cartoon history.
>Lou!
BTW, the live-action movie had some animated sequences about the cartoon made by Lou's mother.

Seconding this.

>Les triplettes de belleville
>La Vieille Dame et les pigeons
same guy did L'Illusionniste
also here's a weird story about him throwing a bitch fit over despereaux because he wanted to direct the animation for both movies at the same time, if you like dumb gossip: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/27/movies/27movi.html
Image is Kirikou and the Sorceress, Triplets of Belleville, Persepolis, The King and the Mockingbird, The Day of the Crows, Fear[s] of the Dark, The Painting, The Time Masters, and The Illusionist.

>has Grandes vacance been completely subbed yet?
I also have interest in this. The threads for it that were updating regularly seemed to have disappeared.
The Rabbi's Cat
Tales of the Night, by the same guy that made Kirikou and the Sorceress, is pretty good. He also made Azur and Asmar, which was alright.
Also A Monster in Paris is pretty good.
