I can't be the only one seeing Marvel's Arcade when I look at this Lex.

It's the perfect Luthor voice. Like other people I can't help but hear his voice when I read him in comics.

I do think the Superman TAS version suffered from being the John Byrne/Marv Wolfman version who was pretending to be a good guy. He was a fantastic villain but because he couldn't be publicly known as a villain, he couldn't play as big a role as he should have.

Which is probably why the Justice League Unlimited version kept pushing him closer and closer toward the Silver Age mad scientist version. That and SA nostalgia.

I've always felt Luthor should be more like Doctor Doom. That he hates Superman but loves mankind and actually is good if not blinded by his xenophobia. That a world under Luthor's rule would be a better place because he is so pragmatic and logical, like Von Doom's world was a better world without the need of superheroes. But Luthor had the world and/or the US and only persisted as a one dimensional bad guy taking any chances to do bad shit and eventually get superfucked.
I don't understand what anyone sees in him, but then again I probably never read the RIGHT super selected elite issues.
