The Egyptian royalty and nobility passed off illigitimates as heirs quite a bit. The DNA of Pharaohs and nobles we have shows they had parents that in theory Egyptians had no real contact with.

Chinese, ginger Caucasian, and south African.
The later royalty were all mutts. It cleaned their inbred bloodlines well though.

As a fun fact, Egyptians had dyes that came only from China, and cocaine from South America. Some mummies had coke rubbed onto their teeth post-mortem for burial even, and there's indications they used it heavily.

Although I'm not very interested in skull girls from a gameplay aspect.
When I first played it it was way too slow and clunky, possibly to show off the animation I guess?
It felt like the art was more important to the creator than making a game that's fun to play.

I like Guilty Gear and Skullgirls wasn't able to compete with that.

It's not as if greek and pagan religions were erased from existance.

Many old myths got straight-up appropriated to christian myth.
I mean, the common depiction of God is pretty much Zeus. And old Mesopotamian depictions of animals god re-purposed into christian demons

Northern Greek Nerds were stereotyped as Pale Smart and Weak. Southern Greek Jocks were stereotyped as Tan Strong and Stupid.
But Cleo probably had a tan.

Also beauty is subjective especially in different cultures. Also not being a shitcaked peasant probably put her heads above them.

>>77903507
I think that's part of the issue, altering the myths in order to fit a different narrative destroys them in some part.
>>
>>77903666
>I think that's part of the issue, altering the myths in order to fit a different narrative destroys them in some part.
A big advantage the Greeks had was the existence of written history, so it would obviously be difficult to destroy everything about their gods and religion.
Not that anyone really made an attempt. Christianity was invented as a religion everyone could be a part of. Hence why they adopted other myths, it was to entice non-believers into the fold.

It's honestly very impressive that we know as much about the Greeks, Romans, Egyptians and Mesopotamians as we do, around 2000 years later.
>>
>>77903946
>>77903666
another neat tidbit is that many christians churches draw direct inspiration from greek and roman temples. Many were built facing west, even the modern christian church faces west, with the altar always being on the east end. And the Roman Basilica of Maxentius essentially became the floor play of the church, with its focus on interior space (early roman and greek temples were not a place for the public, unlike christian churches) and crossing arm form.

It's hard to explain but no aspect of the face is all there is to it and really like anything else it's subjective.
>>77909222
But it's not in spite of her nose. Everything works together. Which is why I say I wouldn't generalize. No one is going to win a beauty with a singular feature, especially if it's a big nose

You're not that /fit/izen who's mad about guys saying they like big noses when it typically just means girls who are 9/10s who just so happen to have big noses are you?
>>
>>77909545
No, I like big noses. She is gorgeous partially because she has a larger one.

So is the one you just posted.
>>
>>77909147
Well, a full explanation would be deserving of recognition, wouldn't it?
After all, it's still art we're talking about. Luckily we still haven't found a mathematical equation to explain something as subjective as beauty.
A lot of it comes from a simple feeling for beauty that a large part of earth's population shares.
Noses are extremely important, as they are in the middle of the face.
Greek noses, you might say -at least in their art- are perfect. They're straight and stoic, but also smooth and rounded at the tip, are exactly a third of the face in length and the ridge and sides line up perfectly with the brows, so that there are no wrinkles anywhere.
They're beautiful in their perfection, as is the case with every aspect of the human body in greek art. Everything has the perfect proportion and there are no blemishes, muscles are well defined, but still smooth and the poses are perfect captions of the action that is performed. These are beauty standards no human could ever hope to achieve.
"Perfect" really is the best way to describe it, because nothing feels wrong in any way.
That is aesthetic at its purest.
There are, however, other aspects to beauty.
Perfect is maybe the most beautiful looking, but nowadays we tend to look past that and we want to see beauty in imperfections.
Things that say something about the character that's depicted.
Because of that the idea of beauty has become more and more vague.
Basically, there isn't really a single explanation for why some of us are interested in big noses.
Some might think it exudes intelligence, I think it exudes strength, others might be interested in Cleopatra's snooty and arrogant character because they want to be at her feet.

Could they really not get a better artist to replace Uderzo?
Why wouldn't they let it die?
Kill it with fire.

I can't explain it, but for me, a big pointy nose improves a pretty face and really stands out at the same time. It's just a perfect thing to have in a slim and beautiful girl.

>>77906801
Yup, the Gerudo are a big part of why I have this "fetish". Also, I don't really like/understand /v/ since I'm completely disconnected from modern gaming. I'm more of a /vr/ guy, even if the lewd threads are very sparse there.

I'm sorry, I had just seen pictures of her, I know very little of SU outside of how some characters look and how people get their panties in a bunch cause of it. Anyway, if she really is like that, I'm sure I'll like her. Thx.
>>
>>77910391
/v/ is just awful anyway. You aren't missing anything.
>>
I don't think I have a thing for large noses, as much as I just associate cute little noses with vapid bitchyness. I'm at a point in my life where personality is the most important feature.
>>
>>77910391
Disconnected from Modern gaming?
But you do like The N64 Zeldas?
Have you tried Dragon's Dogma?
>>
>>77910850
>>77910391
Also, coincidentally, there are two retro remakes on ps plus this month.
Gauntlet, which is awesome as fuck so far and King's Quest, which I haven't tried yet.
>>
>>77910060
Unless Cleo showed up in The Picts, that would be Uderzo art.
>>
>>77911239
Well, then Uderzo should die.
Kill him with fire!

>Disconnected from Modern gaming?
Yup. Haven't owned anything beyond a PS2, and I'm still playing its games at a slow pace. I did got to play most of the worthwhile Wii games, tho. But almost no PS3, just Demon Souls and that boring Castlevania. I do like 3D Zelda, and Megaman Legends. I fucking adored Dark Cloud, and I already got the sequel. I can't wait to play it.

The most modern thing I've played is the new King's Quest and it's... ok I guess. I hate how bland the deaths are for a game in its franchise and how much the game holds your hand.

Those fucking cube sisters were great. But I still liked Porsche better, she had a better personality.
>>
>>77911394
How about that ff7 remake, huh?
>>
>>77911614
FF7 and 8 are the only FF till X I've yet to play.

Please don't hurt me, I'll get around to play them some day, I swear.
>>
>>77911614
I only started playing final fantasy with ff9 and stopped after x-2, I've yet to get back to the old ones.
>>
>>77911306
I've been saying that for a while now.
He made abysmal Asterix stories on his own.

Just goes to show that just because you've been drawing these characters all your life, doesn't mean you can actually write them.
