This idea is stupid as fuck with the current universe though. It'd be different if the universe and comics were built around episodic stories like in the Silver Age, but almost all Nu52 ongoings have arcs that drag on for years at a time, and this shot can easily spoil shit for no reason, like with Superman losing his powers. Everything is intertwined to each other as well, so it seems more like an excuse to ignore plot holes rather than have an explanation.

Stick Ivy on a team with Buddy Baker or Swampy and have an arc about her realizing there's a necessary balance between Green, Red and Rot and that she can use her abilities for good. A lot of the others would be easy to write a redemption arc for too, Riddler and Bane already had decent ones in the past.
