What the fuck is with Drax's ocassional 3rd person shit? Is Abnett up to something with that? Is Drax getting dumb again?

That said I did like how uncomfortable Drax was with looting, he never was the looting type then again Rocket wasn't eitheir but he's a raccoon so it is to be expecting.

Both stories were slow and kinda boring to be honest. Abnett has forgotten how to write the Guardians (Drax being this dumb, Rocket being this desperate for money) and he's pulling a Bendis ignoring other writers (Rocket is a gangster now, he has tons of money. Drax wants to kill Thanos on his free time. Kitty, Quill and Thing MIA), I know in this case it might be a good thing but then don't criticize when Bendis, Punk or Young do the same.

Latour was slow and boring as well. His Thing is better written than Bendis but his Rocket is shit. There's also something missing in this story. I don't know what but it felt kinda incomplete. 15 pages for a backup is dumb too.

tl:dr Last hope has failed. The Guardians are truly dead.

I think he's aping the current Guardians and failing at it DESU, he should just fucking do the way he likes to do it or at least stick with the Guardians 3000 since he was writing them better, so him ignoring the other writers is a good thing and honestly it's done so much at Marvel at this point that even Bendis ignores things he previously established from time to time, it's a given that writers will ignore continuity now.

Current Rocket is Gansgterishand desperate for money though, did you read Rocket guest starring in Duggan's Nova? He agreed to go after some bad guys because he owed him money, hell even Bendis makes him occasionally money grubbing greedy, shit started happening because he had that personality in the movie (although by the end you can tell he was trying his hardest to change).

Even in DnA's run when Thanos was alive all Drax did was trying to kill him despite the fact that the other Guardians were screaming and panicking because he would fuck up plans because of it. Drax speaking in third person came out of nowhere especially since he wasn't talking like this the last time he wrote him in G3000, I am giving him the benefit of the doubt and say that he has a valid reason for that.

I honestly thought Abnett's story was decently paced, a lot happened in 15 pages than a whole issue of Bendis GotG and Abnett used less words, true it wasn't exciting but he can only do so much in 15 pages and he always starts slow in the beginning because he likes to world build and establish the characters before they go on doing their thing.

The problem is that now, in ANAD Marvel as established by Punk, Drax only searches for Thanos on his free time. He doens't have time to go in silly searches for money, less if the rest of the Guardians are not in the team.
