Don't screw up the OP.
>just two slightly longer episodes?
Try just 2 regular length episodes. I think the only difference will be the first half ends on more of a cliffhanger than usual.
First Episode builds to Bill 'winning', gives us 2nd to last end card.
Very Final Episode they defeat Bill in the first 11 minutes, wrap-ups and tearful goodbyes in the 2nd 11 minutes. Cue final end card.
I would only accept that if there was a nod to pinecest in the final one.
Seriously though It's a shame that gravity falls has been so poorly planned, turning what could have been 3 good seasons in just two after the first one had aired
>tfw have a whole life ahead of you to wait for everything to be ok
It isn't coming back
Quality hackposting is so rare, but when it happens it's worth it all
The booru will die within a year of the last episode airing. There will be no new drawfags. Paheal has already commenced GF purges.
Meanwhile /gfg/ will be banned within a week of the episode, and all episodes will vanish from torrent sites in six months. It's over. It's really over.
You kids ever see Rutger Hauer in Blade Runner? The way he died and the little speech he made? I identify with that a little more each year.
Coniferous apparently has something new in the tubes.
Inline for Pines has a real cute fic about the twins having weird premonitions going right now.
At this point Needles is just a drabble machine, so that's basically useless, And Double isn't writing any time soon either.
Tat-buns has some good shit, though I don't know if they've done anything new in a while.
We could always haunt the bunker when the ban hammer comes down. Plus, there's quite a sizable chunk of fanart that still needs to be uploaded to the booru. Even once the fanart well dries up, it'll always exist as an archive.
It's coming to an end, sure, but we'll always have the fun memories and spank bank material.
Dude, remember six months ago when the Mabel ice cream striptease came out? That's vanished. You can't even find it online anymore. And that was only six months ago.
The booru will go offline. It will be completely lost in a year's time. Mark my words.
You're just being a gloomy gus. GF is a popular show, with creative setting and enough open ends and unexplained mysteries to fuel plenty of fanfiction and art for years to come. RGB material is still being made on a regular basis, and that ended over two decades ago.
I've extracted every picture of Dipper in his underwear from the booru that I could find, so I'm good.
>one more episode left
Where am I gonna get my
sexy chub fix afterwards?
You know where
I don't care about your shitty pedo fetish fuel disappearing to be quite honest, family. You should have saved and uploaded it when it was first posted.
Seriously, though why would the booru go offline? Unless the person who created it suddenly decides to delete it after being MIA for a long ass time, I don't see why it would vanish. As far as I know, boorus don't get deleted for being inactive.
The only way I can see it going down is for hosting loli stuff, which is technically against booru rules but it's allowed because Misha is the only active moderator nowadays. But even then, it makes more sense to just purge the loli and shota tags rather than put all 40k images down the drain.
>not liking le witty imp
Well, I feel like more fan fiction is being churned out than ever right now and might even increase a bit after the show ends since it can't be contradicted by new episodes. Unfortunately, the fan fiction is mostly Billdip. It's up to the posters here to write some quality post series Pinecest and Dipfica, you know? So start writing!
Sym Bionic Titan was better. Better characters, better plot, better action.
You know Jak was never gonna get back to the past, they were just dragging it out forever. Also the comics ended it.
So I just saw the last episode, with Mabeland
There's this scene 12 minutes in where they're about to banish Dipper and God-Mabel says "wait he's my brother there has to be another way"
And it was obviously a re-dubbing with lip movements hastily edited to kind of sort of sync up
what do you think she originally said?
>Ronaldo's a bit of a creep
>Steven is shota who will lose all that weight by the time he grows up
>Fryman is okay
>Steven's dad is okay
Sure, I guess. Here's hoping Pixiv improves all of them. No husubando tier characters, but okay.
Hey, why not? There are literally dozens of pictures of the same theme, with little difference than the artist that made them. I'm kind of surprised there aren't more with slenderman.
I can't figure out which Digimon to use for the heart or the question mark.
Right? Wasn't everything that happened in the last episode enough?
>Sincere sibling hug
>Being together above everything else
Shipless dip is definitely endgame at this point, and therefore, Pinecest
>and all episodes will vanish from torrent sites in six months
What? When does that shit happen? Yeah the individual episode torrents might go down but there's always that one bro who will make a full series download with all the episodes and shorts.
Back to watching anime on my backlog that'll never be finished.
Might as well watch Bakemonogatari or Sword Art Online to prepare for the inevitable release of the SAO and Kizu movies
Name's Bill! But you can call me your meme lord and master for all of eternity!
>last GF recording session ever
>but for real this time
Thurop, please. inb4 he deletes this one and gets called back for yet more ADR.
Anyway. I guess it's possible Alex has gotten an ETA from the scheduling department, and he's passed that on to the crew. But Thurop doesn't sound particularly confident. I wouldn't bank on it.
Yo, new guy here.
I just finished marathoning first season, and my mind is kinda blown?
Is this normal?
GF is great cartoon.
Its funny, interesting and has good animation.
Seriously, first episode, all those driving scenes, just take my money.
Intro is one of the greatest I've seen.
And all those mysteries? I'm actually scared how deep exactly it goes.
Anyway, should I watch shorts now, in-between S1 and 2, or leave them for the end?
>dipper's birthmark meant nothing
>portal symbols meant nothing
>recurring mysterious journal symbols meant nothing
>stan's tattoo meant nothing
>"the handyman knows more than you think" meant nothing
>wendy meant nothing
>ford's characterization meant nothing
>creepy love letters from lil gideon meant nothing
>pacifica redemption meant nothing
>robbie redemption meant nothing
>robbie necromancy hints meant nothing
>bill hype meant nothing
>civil war foreshadowing meant nothing
>alex's promises to the fanbase meant nothing
>alex's promises to manzi meant nothing
>alex thanking manzi when he won that award meant nothing
I've started re-watching the show in anticipation of the finale and while finishing The Legend of the Gobblewonker I noticed something.
Despite Soos losing his shirt moments earlier in the episode he is seen wearing it again in a single picture in the finishing photo collage.
H A C K
I don't trust the VA when it comes to official source regarding release date, i remember last time janet varney announced that korra s2 will released in April, everyone went nuts about it.
But she was wrong and she apologized to the fans about that false info
>tfw just watched the episode with Dipper being possessed
>tfw greatly desire a fanfic where Bill masturbates in his body and Dipper watches in horror and then gets turned on
Does this kind of thing exist?
I just realized death is like infinite hiatus. Gravity Falls will soon be dead. Infinite hiatus, waiting for a new episode which is never going to come...
Wow. I never realized she was doing that,
>I would only accept that if there was a nod to pinecest in the final one.
oh anon, there was already a nod to pinecest in the very first one
if you believe in time travel that is.
>Gravity Falls is Ending
>Samurai Jack is coming back
Guys... Bill is Aku's herald.
The mystery shack crew will fail.
Weirdmageddon leads directly to the Aku-ruled future.
i hope people arent really excited for Samurai Jack Go!
http://archiveofourown.org/works/5110370 - Where Dipper is Bill's boyfriend and they're preparing an Halloween party, waiting for Bill's friends to come (might be spoilerish if you've only watched Sock Opera till far?)
http://archiveofourown.org/works/4788989 - Where Dip is a Slave to Bill
http://archiveofourown.org/works/4091008 - Where Bill transforms Dip into his sexy doll (body swap)
http://archiveofourown.org/works/4719455 - A Bipper fanfic with ghost stuff
Man I need to open an account and save all the things I liked. Can't remember all Bipper fanfics at this moment.
Thanks m8, but I'm looking for something not an AU, and instead, a possession fic that occurs in Sock Opera where Bill!Dipper inappropriately touches his body, and Dipper is forced to watch. Will check those out, though.
but then after that he is seen not wearing it again
Assuming you aren't being sarcastic, hell if I know. Someone who's down with shota, I guess.
I used to write fanfiction for old fandoms I was in, though I'd never post it online. I might end up writing this myself if I can't find it.
Gravity Falls Fumoffu
You get 5-11 minute Gravity Falls short released every month in place of season 3. It shows what happens after season 2 in the next summer and has an overarching mystery but each episode is contained.
BUT there's a heavy focus on romance and at least one of the major side characters will NOT make an appearance and barely gets mentioned.
The style also changes because the budget's been slashed. Do you accept?
what came more unexpected, unwelcome, and out of left field?
alex dumping manzi, or season 3 being cut?
Alex dumping Manzi. The fact that it wasn't renewed for another season upon season 2's premiere should've been a giveaway. Plus I think Alex said that it was coming
unlike Manzi because of Alex's undersized shriveled penis.
Search 'older gideon' on the booru for more, these are just the good ones that I have saved.
My hombre. That was the first thing I looked for after I finished Sock Opera, too. There's quite a few, but you'll have dig through a lot of AUs and bishie Bill fics on Ao3 to get to them.
Have a couple of links from my bookmarks:
Thanks, now only question mark remains.
>what came more unexpected
No season 3 was kind of obvious early on. When Golf War wrapped up the Mabel/Pacifica rivalry I knew it was coming
I wanted to draw something like that a while ago. I only started watching this show after seeing a Sock Opera fanart and I thought how interesting that looks...
With GF ending, I can see the fatchasers with hardons from the GF chubs migrating there. Too bad the chubs in that show are slim pickings, with one strictly for people into shota, one that's into dilfs, and one that is a total weeaboo asshole.
Cheers. Always happy to help out a fellow degenerate.
You sure told us, illiterate faggot
He is a pretty great shota. The way he talked about employment taking a part of his soul inspired a protective instinct in me.
On topic, will Dipper find out who he is if he isn't the smart kid?
If you're feeling inspired, I'd be happy with either. Do whatever you're most comfortable writing. Normal prose strikes me as extra work, but I know some people find greentexts awkward to write.
>What's up Dudebros ???
Or Mabel's, if he's made from hair and witchery...
>On topic, will Dipper find out who he is if he isn't the smart kid?
If he isn't the smart kid, he must go the opposite path and become the strong kid.
Okay here we go
>also who cares?
>there were a fuckload of actual codes, why does every squiggle have to mean something? How would that help the show?
>it came from a fight with his brother that he hid because he was ashamed of his past.
> pretty sure this line wasn't anywhere in the series. Prove me wrong
>she was dippers summer crush who he had to painfully learn to get over. Coming of age, anon
>ford was revealed to be arrogant, paralleling dippers own ambitions. Did you want him to be a gay alien or something
>it meant she was redeemed
>it meant he was redeemed. You're just describing plot points
>bills foreshadowing led to a literal 3 part apocalypse. How could there be more payoff than that
>the civil war between dipper and Mabel caused the apocalypse
>name a single specific promise. I'll wait
>also name a single promise
>oh shit this is Manzi isn't it
Imho some episodes sucked ass this season, but this list is a joke worse than Roadside Attraction
>will Dipper find out who he is if he isn't the smart kid?
>that's kind of his thing
Well, he does have that moment of crisis in SotBE, where he admits he's not necessarily as smart as he tries to look.
>If I'm not the smart guy, who am I?!
I figure Dipper just needs to gain more confidence in being himself. He tries to live up to a particular image, but he doesn't need to be "the smart guy" in order to be liked.
He's lucky the 27 club only applies to musicians.
>Did you want him to be a gay alien or something
Split him into ten pieces, and place each piece into an appropriate vessel.
someone saw the new commercial?
I was watching Star Wars Rebels and there was a teaser for Weirdmageddon Part Three it had a flag with a pick axe, a shooting star, the six finger hand, two pine trees, a question mark, and an axe with the words “Take back the falls” on it. It also confirmed that the next episode will be in 2016 but still no offcial date
I know I've seen lots of drawings like that over the years, I didn't save them because eeugh, you might want to check not just the booru again but Google images or even (horrors) tumblr.
Also considering there's literally at least 1,600 porn fics with Bill and Dipper on AO3 I'm sure it's happened a bunch, maybe filter with the possession tag in the GF fics (or just search "Bipper" since that's the name of the possessed person not the ship). But seriously there's a metric fuckton of porn of this kinda stuff if you're willing to wade through.
>Wow, the wheel really means nothing then
I doubt the commercial means anything one way or the other, Alex has nothing to do with the commercials. Someone probably just thinks it looked cool.
Praise Brad Breeck for releasing the Gravity Falls theme in flawless 48kHz 1536kb/s, no whisper at the end
>The power of friendship™ and/or believing in yourself
It'll be the power of inspirational friendship speeches:
>You know, I've learned something in Gravity Falls, Bill. At the start of the summer, I wasn't a very good person. I tried to trick people into liking me, I bullied someone for revenge, I turned on my Great Uncle, and I almost abandoned my sister when she needed me the most. I thought getting what I wanted gave me the right to hurt everyone else. Just like you do.
>But I was wrong, Bill. The only thing we have in this world is each other. You said I didn't have any power without the Journals, but I don't need them to beat you because I'm not alone anymore. Just look at everyone around me today: there's Gideon, and over there is Pacifica, and Robbie's right here beside me. People who I never thought could be my friends, people I thought I hated, are here with me to take you down. Because it turns out revenge isn't awesome at all. But you know what is?
>I forgive you, Bill, because you're the weak one. And you'll never know love,or friendship. And I feel sorry for you.
Bill will eventually go back to his own dimension just to get Dipper to shut up.
>mfw I can literally imagine that entire speech happening word for word in the series finale and it working
Time to listen to this on loop for the next half hour or so.
Do you work on the show? This seems too likely.
The day has finally come.
Joys of being an audiophile
I'll actually be shocked if something like this DOESN'T happen.
Bonus points if Bill treats his friends badly and they turn on him, while Dipper being a good friend wins him the day.
The moral? Friendship is
>it turns out the Cipher Wheel is a WHEEL OF FRIENDSHIP!
No, but sure I can read the signs.
Our fate was sealed when Dipper rolled a natural 20 on his persuasion check against Gideon.
>inb4 a loads of analysis here and especially on tumblr of the position of the symbols and it's just someone in advertising throwing together something with a few symbols that looks neat
There were pages of analysis of the last few previews and none of them turned out to mean shit, just the advertising department doing its thing.
I can already guess that people will think there are two Dippers now when it's just to make the design look cool and thinking Mabel and Soos are super important because their symbols are big when again that's just a design someone made.
Pickaxe is McGucket
Future Dipper is the other pinetree. You can see the journals he wrote in Mabelcorn. Alex reportedly said "he needs to be his own autho " or something to that effect.
Wendy and McGucket
It seems unlikely at this point that Dipper won't make some kind of speech about family, friendship, and love at this point, probably to Bill. "If there's one thing I learned this summer etc." Then maybe Stan will say something cynical and funny as a joke.
Dipper and Mabel will look at each other after he talks and some sappy music will play.
Then, the same thing will happen with Stan and Ford.
This will be the entirety of the Stan and Ford arc character resolution.
Bill gets banished with an asspull Deuz ex Machina and happy music plays.
We see Dipper and Mabel riding home in the bus.
In the background, we hear Dipper's VO wrapping up his VO at the beginning of the series. "I learned a lot of things that summer. And I realize that I'll never forget that summer at Gravity Falls. And how much childhood/family/Mabel meant to me!"
Roll credits with Stan making one last joke indicating he has had no character growth.
The axe is Wax Sherlock Holmes because that was his murder weapon of choice in Headhunters.
The Pickaxe is clearly McGucket because he posed in that one display of miners in SotBE.
Ergo, Wax Sherlock Holmes' ghost will return from the dead and possess McGucket, forming the most brilliant leader any resistance has ever had.
One thing I don't like is the status quo is god thing. I get that it's just one summer vacation. But this is another "limited apocalypse" that no one will even no about, the twins' parents will never even know that anything unusual happened that summer. In the end, the only things that will have changed is that Dipper gained some confidence and Ford came back, and if Ford sacrifices himself somehow, not even that. Mabel and Stan won't have changed at all and everyone in town will instantly forget anything weird happened.
>Stop trying to conquer the world, Bill! I mean, it's 2015!
It looks pretty terrible. I hope that's not the final version of the shot in the episode. Maybe the flag is just a marketing gimmick?
Of course, the last time I sad that about bad promo art, it turned out to be 100% canon.
I think it's time to create another Chapter for Gravity Falls
Remember when Gideon had a giant robot? That was cool.
I didn't realize that these guys in Weirdmageddon 2 were a reference to a previous episode
>I tried to trick people into liking me,
how else do you do it
For the last episode, actually. Disney released the upper shot of this image as promo art, and I suspected the background wasn't final because of the general sketchiness and iffy lineweight.
But it turned out to be a zoomed in section of a much larger background. Which explained the thick lines, but not the atypically sloppy style.
Why was Alex beaming for a "the show is ending forever" tweet?
The best you can do is strive to be someone worthy of loving.
Or hit them with a Love Potion when their guard is down. You know, whatever works.
>tfw you know you're a shitty person and any attempt to engage with other people feels like you're being deceptive
Is this group of people significant in any way?
Or are they all (except Stan) simply references to old episodes?
C-Belle will atone for being a cunt to a bunch of kids and learn the true meaning of sharing. Woodpecker Wife Guy will struggle with doubts about his alternative lifestyle but ultimately share a loving reunion with his freshly un-petrified spouse.
>I have a possible explanation for the thick lines and atypically sloppy style.
So do I: the theory involves "zooming in too close on a fuckhuge background" and "substandard quality control on a difficult episode".
>You said I didn't have any power without the Journals, but I don't need them to beat you because I'm not alone anymore.
Cue Bill snapping his fingers, removing Dipper's brain stem.
Seriously though, I can't see them ending it like that. Bill could just roll his eyes and obliterate them like he did with Time Baby with a simple point of his finger.
> Bill could just roll his eyes and obliterate them
That's why they're all going to form a friendship circle (a wheel, even) around Bill first. By the time he realizes what's happening, it'll already be too late.
As soon as they start holding hands, Bill's evil mastery over reality will be negated, and he'll be helpless in the face of the power of their pure love.
I wasn't serious, though. Or at least, I hope it doesn't turn out quite like that. I do expect one or two more speech from Dipper.
You can read all the notes, not only these below 2kHz. Take a closer look, the red ones are the strongest (loudest), but there's a lot of "yellow" and "green" notes as well.
Do you guys think we'll be seeing the twin's parents in any capacity during the finale? I don't know what it is, but the further we get into the series the more I get this nagging feeling that the Pines parents might be really subpar parents, but I can't quite put together all the reasons why. Just a nagging feeling that I'm wondering if there will be any resolution for.
>"I forgive you, Bill, because you're the weak one. And you'll never know love,or friendship. And I feel sorry for you."
>"You done? Finished up with that little speech of yours, Pine Tree? Good, 'cause I wanna see how much your "power of love" and "magic of friendship" holds a flame to you lacking a brain stem."
>Dipper slumps over, dead
>"Well well well, look at that! Pine Tree's dead! I guess "believing in yourself" doesn't do all that much when all you are is human, hahahahahaha!"
I swear, the whole episode is gonna be filled with moments where Bill could just snap his fingers and remove them as threats to his plans. It really does feel like there's nothing they can do that isn't a Moffat-tier asspull.
You know I feel like Alex is kind of a George Lucas-esque figure. He's a creative firehose that's always spewing out ideas, a number of them good, but with no creative control imposed on him he'll just dump shit all over the place and leave us all hanging with loose plot threads and lame characters.
The ending is never going to live up to the hype we want. Its like that for every finale. Just be happy its getting a reasonably ending and not being dragged on forever and ever.
RIP Adventure Time
No he won't, he should've already done that but he won't because duuurr muh hubris.
They'll do a bunch of shit and Bill will say, "HAHAHA YOU CANNOT BEAT ME I AM INVINCIBLE DURRR I'M RETARDED!!!" He won't bother to try to stop them because he is stupid. Cue them beating him with the Power of Love and Friendship. The Bill is obligated to shout, "Noooo, this cannot be!"and die. You've seen Captain Planet bro, you know what's up.
I would've preferred the theory about how he can't kill the wheel people because fate or destiny be true because as corny as it is, it's better than idiocy as an excuse. And there's been a lot of prophecy already. There's not really a reason for him not taking them out.
You know, as much as I enjoy Bill and like his design, I sort of wish he wasn't in his default form for all of Weirdmageddon I and II.
The main reason Bill as Bipper was so well-received
--corruption and mind control fetishes aside--was because he was eye-catchingly uncanny and expressive. Almost every scene he was on -screen was interesting to look at for its animation alone. The storyboarders have tried their best for the last couple of episodes, of course. And triangle Bill still emotes incredibly well for something with one eye, no eyebrows, and no mouth.
But I wish Bill had possessed Ford instead of taking on his own physical form. It would have been believable enough if Bill vanished the plate in Ford's head with a snap of his fingers. All it would take is a little rearranging of the episode's timeline. And think of the effect on Dipper, Mabel, and Stan.
Seeing Ford get captured by Bill was traumatizing for Dipper, but it would be a whole different level of mindfuck to confront Bill parading around in Ford's skin. Like all his worst fears in TLM realized. Think of the scene where Bill catches Dipper. How much more intense would it have been if the guy he hero-worshipped all summer was the face he saw while the Journals were burning? And how would Stan react to Bord? I think it would have upped the emotional stakes all around.
You do realize that the entire process of this show is to take a well thought out plotline, interesting characters and a very real emotional struggle amidst a terrifying supernatural reality and find the laziest, least interesting way to execute it?
There's just one very big problem with that: Bill suffered a decisive and absolutely humiliating defeat when he possessed Dipper. Using that very tactic again against the twins was just asking for a new painful lesson in human physiology.
>Using that very tactic again against the twins was just asking for a new painful lesson in human physiology.
Well, sure, they could have chosen to write it that way.
But they could also have chosen to say opening the Rift changed the way Bill's powers work in human form. It's not like the potential effects were ever firmly established. They had carte blanche to do what they wanted, more or less.
Weirdmageddon so far has been all about a breakdown of established order. "Existence is upside-down and I reign supreme." I don't think Bill being able to use his powers in a human body would be much more far-fetched than making a meatsuit out of thin air.
But that's fucking retarded desu baka senpai. If BIl is (or was) supposed to represent the all-seeing eye, shouldn't he know 'bout this shit? Why in God's name was he tricked by two 12 year olds in both Dreamscaperers AND Sock Opera?
At first I was hoping "hey, maybe it's part of his plan. Maybe it was on purpose, in order to fulfill the prophecy. Maybe everything he says and does is just him playing reality like a fiddle to his own needs". But nope, it's contrived writing and nothing more.
I have a slight hope that the finale will fix these problems, but I won't put those hopes too high. Unless the events of EFR are somehow rectified or built upon, the writing had been fucked twice over. And what a shame. This was so close to being a perfect series (I liked pretty much every episode prior to Reality, which is only a reassurance of how hard the ball was dropped when one episode puts an entire series in a negative light). All we can really hope is that Reality was only, as mentioned before, the build-up and not the actual climax of Dipper and Mabel's relationship.
I more or less agree, not so much in that you'd need to have another possession situation, but in that Bill was more interesting when he was fucking with people's heads than he is driving around in a pimped out car with his friends. I thought the bubble would be a great chance for that, but it didn't deliver.
I guess just in the sense that villains only exist to challenge the protagonists and impact them, there was one scene in Weird II that did that (the confrontation with Ford and Dipper) but that's it, Mabel's very emotional moment of panic and guilt in vs the Future led to nothing. Every now and then Dipper kind of PTSDs out but he seems to be the only one phased by all of this (probably Ford too, but he was taken out of the action right away). I am curious to see if the last episode has the semi-serious tone of NWHS and DaMvtF or if it's silly like the last episode and, to a lesser extent, Part I.
Not that anon and I still like Bill but it's more that these things seem like shitty/sloppy writing and in this case they happen to impact the show's arc plot. The arc was pretty prominent in this show vs. A lot of other shows and even bled into additional materials like the guide book, websites, etc. Remember how pissed off people were when they didn't like the writing in Roadside Attraction? Well, that only impacted one episode. The writing here impacts the entire series and puts it in a different light in retrospect. I don't think it a a big deal, it's just a show, it's just always a let down when this kind of thing happens, as it often does.
Getting back to Bill's first two appearances, a lot of people thought that they were part of Bill's plan, he did really let them win in Dreamscapers, or that he was just having fun. The character was a Chekov's gun from the first episode but there was as much behind it as people hoped. It isn't fair that what happened also has to compete with people's fan theories and stories, but I do think it could have been better planned and executed.
Fuck, now that you mention it I'm really worried about how they're going to deal with the return home. With Ford's offer lingering up in the air I was kind of thinking maybe the end of the show might play with or examine the idea that neither of the twins can really go back to a normal life after what they've experienced. They've had their eyes opened to a much wider world and have experienced some pretty frankly horrible things, I just can't see them returning to normal kid life with no issues. For awhile I was hoping the finale might at least look at that but now I'm thinking they'll just ignore it with a tasteless joke.
>Do you guys think we'll be seeing the twin's parents in any capacity during the finale?
The time has come and gone, I think. The best opportunity to show Dipper and Mabel's home life would have been during the flashbacks in Mabeland.
Honestly, I never wanted to meet Mr. and Mrs. Pines. They have no place or purpose in the story. Leaving their faces and personalities a blank is one decision of Alex's I agree with wholeheartedly.
>I get this nagging feeling that the Pines parents might be really subpar parents, but I can't quite put together all the reasons why.
- send the kids off for an entire summer (via bus) to a town they've never set foot in before
- never come up to see them in all that time
- either know nothing about Stanley, or choose not to tell the kids anything
- Dipper wanted to stay in Gravity Falls forever; while he starts to have doubts, he doesn't once think of or mention his parents when making the decision
- Dipper never mentions them at all throughout the series; Mabel only sends them a letter in DD&MD
I don't think it's intentional, exactly, but I can see why they come off as neglectful.
The Stan Twin twist was probably this show's highest point, but looking back on it the only way it could work out within the show's world is if the twins have incredibly neglectful parents.
Either they only knew Stanford as the tourist trap owner, in which case they'd no he's completely unfit to look after children for any period of time, or they've heard from the rest of the family that Stanford's a genius and wanted to send the kids out to him as an enrichment experience, but if that's the case they must have never met Stan for any extended period of time or told the twins why they were visiting Stan or what to expect from him, because anyone with even a little bit of knowledge of Stanford the genius college graduate would immediately know something was wrong upon meeting Stan.
>Ford was apparently the only person who knew Bill's one weakness. How exactly are they gonna beat Bill now
Stan's copies of the journal/s or McGucket's lost memories might be useful. There could be other sources of information in town similar to Trembley's hidden cache, or more clues or a weapon hidden in Ford's lab or the Bunker.
And there's always the option of time travel, I guess, if they can get their hands on a time machine somehow. Go back to meet past Ford, have a chat about Bill, wipe his memory of you so you don't fuck the timeline over, and go ruin Bill's day. Seems simple enough.
I would be pretty surprised if the implication isn't that they're just going to go back to being normal kids like nothing ever happened. I do think Dipper will write his own journal, but it'll be a hobby when he visits family each summer, like going to band camp every year. Nothing that has an impact.

I don't care if we've been dead for years, it needs to be seen here.

Where does that come from?
You have my word I will post it here if it ever comes to fruition.
If you're asking about the cipher, you should read up the history of Caesar's fourteen brothers.
If you're wondering about the delicious flavor, search the archives for it. I posted an explanation not too long ago.
Anyone know where there's a mirror showing some 360 twice over? This hard drive ain't big enough for the full crisp, if you catch my drift.
Why do people say Roadside Attraction was bad?
It's the one that was lead up to and foreshadowing everything.
Gigantic man eating spiders and the intro sequence where Dipper and Mabel were the first Fallers, on their way to the ceiling.
The Tourist traps are all cons to hide the truth.
Upside Down Town was our primer for "when gravity falls" the towns namesake and evidence of earlier rift breaches of some sort.
tldr: Gravity Falls never had time for filler.
>Gigantic man eating spiders
I'll give you that. It's a great reference to Quentin Trembley's line.
I personally like the episode because it reestablished Dipper and Stan's bond.
>The last Stan-centric episode of this season, Roadside Attraction, shows Stan as ultimately a person with a narrow view of good. Its placement in the season, while it goes “against canon continuity,” does thematically remind the audience the lengths he’d go to sabotage others for his own benefit – and even worse, that is the lesson he teaches Dipper and Mabel. First, showing how these acts are “practical jokes” as opposed to what they really are – sabotage tactics to ruin his competition – Stan demonstrates how he sees others that are not family: people he has to win against in order to survive.
>He also teaches Dipper his skewed morality about taking advantage of others; in this case, a bad pick-up lesson in getting more attention from girls. Stan picks up the wrong woman in this case, and barely escapes with his life with the help of the children. Though it seems like Stan and Dipper have grown closer and he learned a lesson about not duping others, this episode clearly demonstrates that Stan’s moral priorities lie in protecting and supporting his family – even if it hurts other people. Stan sees other people are those barring the way to his personal success and search for self-fulfillment through familial love and belonging. Though sympathetic and understandable, Stan’s morality is clearly socially antagonistic.
I knew I've seen this background already. So they just superimposed the CG flag onto the Bill Cipher Presents background
I'm reminded of the time I made the edit of the screencap from one of the earlier episodes by shooping Slenderman in and everyone lost their shit, thinking he was actually in the show.

I've a sneaking suspicion a lot of those character traits were installed in him and other chaaracters, through manipulation of events across his timeline.
I've posted like 3 times, I probably don't deserve the honor, but thanks anyway!
Nope, but whoever this Lew person is, I guess they got the credit for making the shoop.
Ehh, whatever. I've got no issues with that, it's just a silly edit. I just never expected it would explode as much as it did.
Your shoop wound up in an episode of LewToons.
I've a similar story where an edit of mine pissed off the world.
That's got to be The Royal Order of the Holy Mackerel.
What if the Multibear man training was all just a ruse ¿
That would answer the ultimate Gravity Falls conspiracy question.
Who threw away Dipper's BABBA CD ¿¿¿
Are all superior. Pacifica is such a boring character, honestly.
>hurr breast girl
Wasn't a vote, this guy just had some opinions.
Honestly Dominica need to be higher, but there's no way that anyone other than Madridista should be at the top.
Dudes the reason we've got high quality DL links within minutes of the episode airing.
I loved Oppai's drawings and all, but if the guy wants to not be a drawfag for us, then just let him be, he was with us for just slightly longer than Jizzanon, I hardly think he can be counted as a real regular (outside of anon posting)
Nate's Twin Brother Edition ¿
You guys haven't heard of Multiverse and Doppelganger theories of Gravity Falls?
Just wait till you get a loada GORNT Theory.
I don't want shit on oppaianon or anything, but top of the list is a bit much. In my own subjective opinion, I think dominica's style is much more visually appealing. They should definitely be higher on the list. Boybox and pinklines should definitely be on there.
Additionally, has comicfag ever contributed anything of worth? If so, I missed it.
