What does /co/ think of the current direction the plot of Adam Warren's Empowered is heading?
I love every aspect of this book (I own the Deluxe versions), except where he keeps drawing the females as Janice in profile.
I'm happy with it, Emp is finally getting a smidgeon of respect, even though we all know the world will continue to shit on her every volume. Now we can get to her learning how her suit works, getting better at it, and still crying herself to sleep every night
I'LL READ IT AGAIN WHEN WARREN JUST GIVES UP AND STOPS MAKING IT PG-13 BULLSHIT
SHOW US A NIPPLE
SHOW US SOME PROPER TITTIES
STOP TEASING I'VE BECOME AN ADULT I'M NOT A TEENAGER ANYMORE A CLIT WON'T MAKE MY EYES BOIL OFF
JUST MAKE IT PORN, WARREN, JUST MAKE IT PORN, PORN IS MAINSTREAM NOW
Where does it end?
You start with erotica, then someone demands it goes full softcore. So you do it. But once you get proper softcore, then there's that guy that's going to demand hardcore. Then we get hardcore, and there's a guy that's going to demand anal. Then we get anal, and there's a guy that's going to demand some werid fetish bullshit.
Just enjoy what you have. The mouse doesn't need a fucking cookie.
The comic makes me rock hard but the style is too cluttered and hectic for me to actually read
If anyone else has more to contribute pls help a brotha out
>She's gotten thicker and I'm ok with that
Warren says it's to help differentiate between Spooky, Ninjette and Emp's body types.
I don't think I've ever had a problem telling them apart.
do you think a future story is gonna strip them naked and shave them bald and this is all in preparation for that...?
>What does /co/ think of the current direction the plot of Adam Warren's Empowered is heading?
I like that in the last volume she finally got everyone to recognize how useful she actually is as well as show it, I kind of want the wily pete story arc to get done with though also I think we are overdue for learning Thugboy's backstory and real name.
>all these complaints about it not being porn
just go to fucking sadpanda if that's what you want never has there been a porn comic sold for money that was actually good anyway.
I don't know about body type but I literally had no clue that Spooky was supposed to be black until the story explicitly said she was in like volume 3 because nobody has any kind of racial traits and all have that kind of generic anime facial features, I had just as much trouble noticing that ninjette was supposed to be white.
Last volume ended with her getting the superhomies to acknowledge that she is probably their most valuable member since she provides nearly 100% of their intel on bad guys and has taken down many high level villains on her own.
She is now a actual member of the team instead of just a associate member.
Genuinely the most entertaining, innovative and exciting cape comic out, in my opinion.
I really loved the intel angle Warren spun in the last volume. Mayfly's arc has been emotionally brutal.
Whenever Warren draws leather jackets or intricate super-weapons I'm always blown away. I think his colouring isn't great though, but thank god Empowered is all sweet, sweet pencils, or occasional chunky black marker.
I dunno. I love this series. I got why others don't. But just like when I see people say they hate say,, Frank Quitely for example, I understand where they're coming from, but I know they're wrong (for lack of a more sophisticated way of saying: my opinions > your opinions)
>She is now a actual member of the team instead of just a associate member.
Still not featured in the sports drinks commercials though
What's going on here? She's gotten thicker?
Confessions time: I own every volume plus the hardcovers and specials
, but I haven't read past volume 3 or so.
It's a bunch of panels slapped together in mspaint. Are you trying to say some ass loving anon should arrange the panels more artistically?
>MFW when i actually like the plot and the fan service is a nice juicy bonus
>plus the hardcovers
Goddamn it I want the deluxe editions but I'm not paying $200+ for volume one and I refuse to own volume 2 without volume 1 why the fuck can't they reprint that shit?
I'm not proud of it but I just paid $90 to a third party seller on Amazon for a "like new" copy. It is supposed to arrive by Thursday so here's hoping that it is actually like new.
Do we know what's up with maid man yet? I'm probably more invested in him than any other characters.
Also Emp's fujo fantasies are hilarious, I love them.
> emp has gay fantasies about people she doesn't even like
> emp is /co/
You're a fucking heretic. Besides, she's not even that chubby. She's thick, but it makes more sense that she'd see herself as fat than when she was just curvier than Ninjette.
Nah, his dialogue occasionaly demonstrates he specifically wants to do FatalPulse style murder porn, but has JUST enough scruples to not do so. Not enough scruples to prevent his fetish from creeping into his work, though.
Doesn't the suit amp her libido or something?
Personally I think Warren could afford to make her chubbier without sacrificing the story. I don't like how she's clearly skinny and everyone makes fat jokes about her, it's very immersion breaking. Same with ninjette being an alcoholic who only drinks beer being rail thin, and thug boy having ptsd. If you're going to write about people having real problems you actually have to GIVE them those problems, not just say they have them and move on. The only exception is sister spooky, her post Mindf*** characterization was amazing and very realistic.
It also hit me right in the feels. Dat Hell scene, man.
God that was creepy.
Pretty sure Adam has stated he wanted to make Emp look closer to what she sees herself as on tumblr. The reasoning behind it is that he feels weird drawing her the same body type as his other female characters but Emp is the one that constantly has fat image issues.
>I don't like how she's clearly skinny and everyone makes fat jokes about her, it's very immersion breaking.
I was willing to believe that was all Spooky's hex affecting people's perception of Emp, which in turn was affecting Emp's own perception of her self.
Besides, Emp exists in a fairly shallow as fuck universe not unlike our own. It's not hard to believe a hot, jiggly chick like Emp would get called a fatass... especially if it catches on.
I don't think making Emp more realistically chunky adds anything to this... unless, in fact, it becomes a future story point after all.
If it becomes a future story point, I will buy every Empowered volume ever published. In hardcover.
>Chibi/possible shortstack EMP
I was not aware how much I needed this in my life until now. Where did you find this adorable bonerfuel?
I'm honestly impressed that Warren put that level of effort into her character design. Although she's had some small changes I always just assumed he WANTED to draw her like every other body type in the comic, because that's his preferred body type. I never suspected he was just stuck on drawing that body type and wanted to change it. Props to him for challenging himself as an artist.
Asking /co/ what it thinks about where Empowered is heading is like asking the Swiss what they think about where the Upper Grindelwald Glacier is heading. The answer is it doesn't matter because no one will live long enough to see it get there.
>fanservice heavy series
>why does everybody want porn
Anon are you an idiot? When you fill a comic with cheesecake it is going to build a fanbase of horndogs.
Hate his faces sometimes.
>Do we know what's up with maid man yet?
His superhero persona seems to be part of a multiple personality thing and his civilian persona has no control over it.
Other than that he's just the goddamn maid man.
Not really most of the characters aren't even drawn with lips, in fact it's pretty much just Emp and Spooky that are except in certain situations like Ocelotina making kissy faces at a camera.
>Coward who wants to draw nasty rape porn like all his Japanese idols but doesn't have the stones to follow through.
You realize that Warren didn't actually create Emp's character right?
She was originally some guy's OC that he commissioned Warren to draw hundreds of pages of bondage art of but then never paid for so Warren created a story surrounding her to salvage the time he spent on those drawings.
Empowered is literally somebody trying to turn fap bait into a legitimate comic.
I don't much care for Adam Warren.
His pencil's are sloppy and his lettering is terrible. What's more is he wants to have the characters swear but is afraid to actually write swear words so we get bubbles that are half censor blocks and it's a bitch to read
>modest is hottest sometimes anon.
Not in this comic. Not to say this would be better as porn but it really isn't good at being sexy with its current fanfare. If anything the light bondage comes off more comedic than sexual.
yeah. I haven't bought all the books so Im way behind but isn't in plastic wrap too? Why can we go full bondage kink but not say a dirty word.
Or at the very least don't swear all the time if you can't.
>That alt costume is just begging for a pregnant Emp to rock it.
Emp and Thugboy fuck like bunnies... perhaps this is why her body is changing? I'd love to find out how the suit will respond to a bun in Emp's oven.
>Has anybody tried storytiming any of the Empowered volumes?
there's a storytime once a year when a new volume is out. There were 2 a few weeks ago when vol 9 and the one shot were released.
I don't think anyone has storytimed the one-shot collection, however.
>I don't know, maybe mods would get twitchy.
nah, they reserve that itch for Panda threads.
Not really, its just kissing so far to assimilate her with nanovirus transforming her in either an angel or devil.
So I've been lurking this thread for a few hours and what is this exactly? It seems like satire of comic book wimminz, but what's the story? Also, post more of the chic from OP pls.
>It seems like satire of comic book wimminz, but what's the story?
That's kind of the breakdown of it. It's about a superheroine who sucks at her job and gets captured more often that not. Her costume is made of a semi-sentient alien membrane that's affords her a variety of superpowers... But is highly fragile and only functional when it's intact, hence the numerous kidnappings. Still, she powers through to the best of her ability, even though her colleagues in the superhero community shit on her at every chance.
There's more to it than that, but it's more multiple plot threads woven throughout her misadventures than a continuous plot.
There's nothing alien about it, human friend. It is a totally normal human type feeling to wear such paraphernalia that is statistically average in the population.
You could say its like "struggling with life" and "how stereotypes are in our world". That translated to cape world.
Its a wide range from ranchy, derp, intelligent to blatant.
Sometimes its a little speech heavy. And it wanders from fetish to how ridicules fetishism is.
But for me over its a good mixture.
the humor starts out as a straight parody of superhero stuff, but later evolves into its own thing.
Personaly I like it, it never feels too cheap
as they tend not to linger too long on any one topic for humor (other than the whole her powers kinda suck and she loses a lot)
one thing to remember is that after a while the storys tone darkens considerably, to the point I'll be shockedif anyone gets a straight up happy ending to their story, so if thats a problem, you may want to re-consider.
I just read Empowered Special 007 and while its not something I'd pay to read, it wasn't too bad. I might just torrent some more issues.
Do I have to start at the first volume? How does the series change from when it started to the newest ones? Where should I start?
How jiggly do you guys think EMP's ass is?
She must be in decent shape, but I'm thinking it's that "babyfat" effect where she's decently fit, but her muscles are completely coated by a layer of pudgy softness.
start at 1 and keep going, the humor and tone grows as the seies progresses, and there are a lot of callbacks to earlier events and concepts so you will lose a bit of context if you skip stuff, the earlier stuff is more story of the day format as opposed to the arc driven storys of later volumes.
As I said it gets a lot darker as it progresses
Are you serious? Her ass type is obviously "slightly overweight but physically active enough to keep her jiggliness to a minimum which still isn't enough to avoid mockery from the Superhomies."
Just kidding. Sad you wont buy some issues, but its ok.
And like >>77867338 wrote, start from the beginning. The One-shots give some deeper insight in characters, but till now are not heavily needed for main story or callbacks.
I have the feeling that this is the main plot that drives warren.
But i wish that he kinda get it work that he can wrap up this main plot and close a chapter. And than take a new approach on empowered and continue.
Like pete ark = golden age (unestablished hero)
After pete ark = silver age (professional hero)
Next big ark = bronce age (war hero)
I hope my idea is understandable.
my problem is, for the most part, he's a superman level villian in a mostly street to mid level world, no one we've seen can really touch him, and we dont know of any other psychics who might be able to untangle his mind, so chances are unless his downfall takes two volumes he's just gonna lose to the suits max power mode and THAT storyline will just continue as if nothing happened
true, the heroes have access to some high level shit, but when one of the heavy hitter villans is basicaly killer crock and their permier superteams include a guy who is a flying brick that cant fly,
I feel like we havent seen many high powered supers, none that feel like they could concieviably stand up to pete, other than max power emp and mayby spooky, I fully accept I could be wrong tho
dun talk abt me mum that way, fgt. ill hook u in the gabber m8, i swear on me mum
Yes, but he isnt unkillable. And i think its either emps cleverness or some deus ex machina.
There were situations against emp and she defeated them by cleverness. And there were things that were overcome by her alien costume and its always hinted.
yes, but it read more like a diplomatic solution in the end.
But they seem to lost many big hereos.
oh no, dont get me wrong, I think this situation is good right now.
buuut I guess I'm just paranoid about a really anticlimactic ending to petes arc, several things I liked succumbed to the same problem of a villian that could only be deus ex machina-ed to beat, b-but I have faith in warren, he's a professionalcomic book writer r-right?
I-It's not going to happen again right?
It was a sexy superhero comedy they said.
it might be cause warren didnt really give her a black-looking nose,
and erryone got big lips so thats out,
the only blatantly black feature about her is hair, and warren evidently cant draw dreadlocks,
least I think she has dreads...
Warren has written about 4 volumes worth of good material.
Badass Emp is fun. But I wish he would just pick a side. You can tell that he's resentful of the fact that he has to put dedicated cheesecake chapters in.
I mean, do it or don't, just don't try to guilt us while you do it.
>mfw Deathmonger is a woman
I did not expect that
A full apocalypse ending?
That would make me sad if Petes ark = series end.
>I-It's not going to happen again right?
Dont know, Warren is a professional and he knows how to gives us feels.
I hope he doesnt go a Mindfuck with Pete.
I dont feel like he would kill Emp, but he mentions always that Ninjette will have a hard time.
In the Guest artist one-shot, there is the elevator scene with interdimensional/time where a timedisplaced emp implies that Ninjette could get injured or killed.
I hope its just not a sacrifice of Ninjette.
>Who else is in for a Ninjette X Maidman?
Yes the first time i saw her, i thought her to be hispanic too.
that too, lol
I always think Ninjette is just jealous of the relationship Emp and Thugbiy have.
But as i remember she admired Maidman heavily.
But im not really sure if its "Job" admiration or love interest.
Since between thugboy and Jette its more sexual tension, for me.
I read his Gen13 run, Lifewire,
I missed his Dirtypair and "Titans stone papper scissor".
And yes he likes it tough at the end. But i still can hope he kills them not in the end.
How in the world are Adam Warren's pencils sloppy?! The comic is made in pencils only, there's no inking phase. If anything the detail and rendering he pulls off in every page are amazing.
I've been following Empowered since Volume 1, buying them (and the one-shots) all. Only thing from the books I have a problem with is The Caged Demonwolf and the way he talks. It can be very VERY exhausting getting through his dialogue, especially when it's going on for several pages.
Also, anyone wanna bet how long it'll be until Empowered moves to Kickstarter or IndieGoGo?
I'm really surprised to see this much contempt towards a (pretty innocent) fanservice comic from /co/. Did Warren do something to get /co/ to hate him?
I really like him as an artist though I can't stand the fish lips either, but at this point he's been drawing them for decades
Yes his speech is sometimes hard, but its to differ the character since its just an inhib collar.
Its like Thor or Rouge giving some distinguishable speech pattern or "homeland accent"
Warren overdoes it sure, but i accept it as character feature. One time while Jette is drunk, reffering she wont remember anything after this, we can see demonwolf reading quite "normal" if its serious.
I read all, but im sure i miss some things.
If he implies other, i can believe i didnt got that.
If you refere to
for me it doesnt imply that he truly loves her. More like that for him "time" not exist as we percieve it.
Sure it can be that she is grown unto him, he felt in love. Im not sure if its more like he collects and push them into a route to secure the universum.
But sure you are on something i missed
>>Who else is in for a Ninjette X Maidman?
Anyone else read the goddamn Maidman's dialogue in David Hayter's voice?
>It's all about that NinjettexEmpxThugboy OT3
Literlly the only comic I could see this happening and it not being forced.
>You can tell that he's resentful of the fact that he has to put dedicated cheesecake chapters in.
He said previously (I think it was in Emp Deluxe #1) that he feels he has to add some blatant cheesecake for the Damsel In Distress folks who supported him from the start.
I've been a fan of his since his Dirty Pair days though, Plague of Angels killed me back in the day. Honestly, I think Empowered is some of his best work. It started off as cheesecake comedy, but over the years, it's grown to be a series where you actually care about the characters. I know 'Jette is going to die horribly in the future, but I still have hope she isn't full Mindf ked
yes, but so are opinions and interpretations ^^
Dark Horse has published him literally his entire career, from his Studio Proteus days until last week when Pew Pew Pew came out. I think it's safe to say that he's got a good place there.
>David Hayter's voice
Mmmm i read it as a batmanesque voice, but after hearing Hayter, ye it will be now his voice for me.
And from what I gather, it's been selling well. Well enough for them to happily publish one volume every 12-14 months, 3-4 oneshots a year, a collected volume of said oneshots, and two hardbacked collected editions of the first 6 volumes (with a third on the way according to Warren's twitter). That's not the sort of support you give a book on the verge of being dropped, that's the kind of support you give Mike Mignola or Frank Millar.
And its good for them, since Star Wars moved to Marvel.
I kinda liked his Livewires.
It was like Gen13 + Dirty Pair.
Sad its owned by Marvel, but so Warren has time enough for Empowered
My bet, he is like batman.
Powerfull enough his intelligence and brawler qualities makes him badass.
And i think he knows stuff. Too much stuff.
I'd actually like to hear an argument defending the existence of non-hardcore cheesecake or erotica. Honestly, what IS the point of drawing porn that's not pornographic? Because the only one that makes sense to me is cowardice. "I want to draw tits for people to ogle but I don't want to be known as a guy who draws tits, so I guess I'll put a thin layer of spandex over the nipples, that'll make it somehow socially acceptable!"
Ok, not the maidman image i wanted to post firsthand
that was great.
I celebrated the ninja fight and that Emp is capable to defend her friends against all odds.
Because a 14 year old can buy one at Borders and not the other. You lose perspective when you spend all your time on the internet, but stores don't often carry hardcore porn, and porn in and of itself limits the audience.
>Personally I think Warren could afford to make her chubbier without sacrificing the story. I don't like how she's clearly skinny and everyone makes fat jokes about her, it's very immersion breaking.
Because she's not fat that's the point, she thinks she is because she has shit loads of self loathing and everyone else calls her fat because their assholes.
And sometimes the packaging and mystery makes it more interesting.
Sometimes its better not to show too much.
My point was that pornographic comics that are sold for money rarely have decent stories.
Something can be fappable or it can be a good story but almost never can it be both.
And the few exceptions that I have seen have all been webcomics.
Multiple Warheads ended up pretty good. Also, Adam Warren didn't make it porn because he was already a known artist. and it was bad enough going back to doing fetish commissions to get by.
>So basically just a sexy heroine bumbling about. Is the humor actually good or is it cheap/shitty?
The humor can be hit or miss but where it really shines is character development.
All of the main characters have their own shit going on and it's cool to see the protagonist develop into a more functional superhero throughout the series.
>it's n-not a fetish comic, it's not! It's full of q-quality writing and great c-characters!
>every single page is the fish-lipped whore talking to either herself or the reader about how embarrassed she at wearing a suit conveniently designed by Warren to fall apart
>it's n-not softcore fetish trash guys! J-just buy the deluxe edition already!
He is Thugboy
It's implied that Thugboy's family died in a fire, he was a military otaku even as a kid, "Wily Pete is military slang for white phosphorus, Thugboy spent years hating capes and was apart of the san antonio riots, Wily Pete hunts down and kills capes, Thugboy is the only person to have met Wily Pete and lived, We have never seen the two of them together except in his memories, His dreams in one volume involved everything being on fire
YFW Thugboy's name turns out to be Peter
>If I don't like any drama surrounding SJW I'm one of them
Here's your reply, you absurdist.
>fat Ninjette cosplay
My dick has been waiting for this day.
Remember me, brothers. Tell my story. If I do not survive this fap, tell them I died for a good cause.
Trust me, if I could find a landwhale 'Jette to fap to, I totally would. Dat outfit, mang.
Empowered's supes are like jaded celebrities, most of them never face serious threats and are always surprised when they do. That's why Emp is so effective, everything is dangerous to her due to her low power level so she treats danger realistically. It's a nice way of making the underdog actually competent for a change.
>Empowered's supes are like jaded celebrities, most of them never face serious threats and are always surprised when they do.
How would the Superhomies stack up against The Hero Association?
(Obviously excluding Saitama and full-confidence Emp)
The members of the hero association are mostly normal people with the occasional cyborg or psychic. Empowered so world has DC level supers everywhere. Hero association would get rekt.
The empowered Universe has way too many S-Tiers, and they all act like fucking Divas.
In terms of power the Emp heroes would probably rekt them by sheer numbers, in terms of popularity, The Hero association would get more votes.
>She was originally some guy's OC that he commissioned Warren to draw hundreds of pages of bondage art of but then never paid for so Warren created a story surrounding her to salvage the time he spent on those drawings.
For this to be true Warren would have to be stupid enough to do not just one or two but dozens or hundreds of commissions on spec, which as a longtime pro is about as likely as me farting diamonds
Oh wait... no, it's just gas.
Like your post.
>JUST MAKE IT PORN, WARREN
There's a thread in /t for the studio FOW Kunoichi 2 download where a guy is complaining that the rape is not rapey enough. There's literally no end to pornfags demands because you get jaded of everything. I know of what I speak, I was looking at tied anime girls with pee filling their gaping anuses 15 years ago.
The top tier are actually pretty competent and powerful though sweet mask is clearly an emp-verse level cunt. Metal bat was soloing that giant monster pretty well until garou turned up
>Because the only one that makes sense to me is cowardice.
Some people LIKE the tease rather than the full monty. If you can't get that, we might as well drop the line of thought here.
But for another argument: Mystery can be good because nothing is as sexy as what you imagine. Let's say there's a chick with weird areola doing pin up photos. If she's got them covered, I don't know she's got weird burnt pizza tits. But YOU know and you'll never NOT know, because you had to see them.
On the other hand, I have a breast expansion fetish. I COULD be complaining about the lack of my fetish in this comic since that's my jam. I could even call Warren a coward for not including it using your same logic
But that'd be an asshole thing to do wouldn't it.
Are you dense or something? It's not like he did a 12-issue series and decided to repurpose it. He did a few pages and liked her design enough to craft a story around he. He literally admits it freely.
>It actually evolved from a bunch of damsels in distress commissions during a time when my career was effectively dead. So, I got bored with that and it got turned into a real comic on what I was thinking on what goes through the mind and what someone has to put up with this crap that super-heroines have to deal with. It’s kind of where the whole series comes from. As it would relate to how someone in that position would think. The entire series derives from that, and it sort of took on a life of its own.
honesty the whole time I was watching kill la kill I kept thinking to myself "oh my god, senketsu is a version of emps suit that doesn't suck." even when you don't like wearing it, it still gives you superpowers instead of tearing like a soup bubble.
>Not that other anon but he's clearly talking about the S classes.
I think so is this anon.
However, other than Sistah Spooky (whom I would imagine as being on par with Tatsumaki), I can't really think of any other Superhomie that's actually as overpowered as people in this thread are making them out to be.
one's a really smart kid with a backpack.
at least two are really old dudes with swords.
one is a dude with a bat.
one is a dude in a dog costume.
one is L I T E R A L L Y
a VN playing neet that faked their way into S-Rank
there are only, like, 3 super strength guys.
I wouldn't exactly call them normal guys, but they aren't exactly world-breakers, either.
>one is a dude with a bat.
>one is a dude in a dog costume.
They have super strength though.
>at least two are really old dudes with swords.
Super or at least enhanced speed, agility.
>one's a really smart kid with a backpack.
Obviously more than just "really" smart.
>one is L I T E R A L L Y a VN playing neet that faked their way into S-Rank
That one I'll give you, though some believe that he has a sort of "Imposing Presence" aura that he isn't aware of.
I love this series. Ironically, it's the one that got me into reading cape comics. I'd just started, but was really only reading Transformers at the time.
That said, I can't say that I like that it took like 2 years for vol 9 to come out, and it feels like barely anything happened to make it worth the wait. The first 4 or 5 always felt like there was a lot to take in when I finished.
He basically funds the entire thing out of his own pocket. You should follow him on twitter, there'sa lot of interesting info about the process with the occasional detail on the story: apparently all the one-shots have had a recurring theme/detail that's important to the main series, but no one seems to have worked out what that is, and he's refusing to tell until they do.
Fairly often. Emp and Thugboy have a pretty active sex life, Ninjette has more than a few suggestive scenes and Emp's glorious ass is on screen almost as often as the rest of her.
I was gonna try and help you out here, but apparently I don't have scans of any of those volumes, only print copies.
Best I can do for you, brah...
eh... while I'm at it, I'm just gonna leave this here.
Good thing I'm not a robot, eh captcha...
>The recent volumes haven't really had anything of significance happening other than Hell and Mindf*** dying.
but that's wrong.
Yep, That's Hardcore all right.
I love finding empowered in the library under the graphic novels section, it brings back memories of when I found the first volume and my boner pierced the heavens.
Yeah, as a joke it's pretty funny and it reached peak point with him actually being flattered by the idea of girls finding him hot, but objectively speaking he's the worst boy of Empowered.
No, the picture is a criticism of people who try a subversive entryist strategy into non-SJW groups who like to appeal to the middle ground fallacy since they know people not intimately familiar with the subject matter are vulnerable to it
Just because 4chan retards use it to mean "HURR ANYONE WHO DISAGREE WITH ME = SJW" doesn't mean this isn't a tendency that exists
