Life and Times is such a good book.
Hey guys! I'll be around to take scrib requests today. Even though it's a DC game, with the character creator I can make almost anyone, so I'm not limited to just DC characters. Let's make some more good ones this year!

Ho ho ho y'all. One of you should be receiving a copy of Flash volume 1 today. It's out for delivery.
Reposting, only one entry so far:
For those of you who weren't here the last couple of years, I did various Christmas contests and would gift someone who I arbitrarily chose as the winner. I intend to keep that tradition alive this year.
I decided to get started with a (relatively) big challenge: Write a Christmas story featuring /co/ characters. Maybe Lex Luthor decides he hates Santa because he challenges human superiority. Maybe the Flash has to sub in for Santa one night and deliver presents around the world (has that been done? That must have been done before). It doesn't have to be long, just something short and simple, but the more Christmas special-y the better. If you're a drawfag and want to draw it out instead, that's fine too.
Send your submissions to [email protected]. Or you can post them in the thread, but just make sure I see them. I'll give everyone a week to put something together, so don't feel rushed. At the end I'll share them with the thread and crown a winner. Make sure to include your wishlist with your submission.
>>77850462

Agreed. Arrow is not fun week to week, but I really love watching Flash.
Throwing my code back out there before I head off to bed.20SQMNGX7PEYP .de
What's everyone looking forward to this Christmas? Me it's picking a big tree, putting it up in the living room and decorating it.
>>77847198
I hope you at least had a good day off. I just want it to be the 23rd already. Then I can spend a week drawing and eating and reading and watching. Maybe even in that order, if not all at the same time.
>>77847286
Good to see you back Scribs.
>>77850235
Thankfully no. It was raining today though which did not bode well for my holey sneakers.
>>77850943
Man, I might have to miss RAW for that.
>>77853729
I want this issue so much.
Well, it seems as though one of the gifts I bought was refused. Not a cheap little thing either. So I guess I have quite a bit extra Christmas spirit to spread. Perhaps to ensure that only people who want gifts get them, a challenge is in order?
I'm going to provide a Christmas cryptogram. Provide me the correct solution and your amazon wishlist and a winner is you!!!
Here's the first puzzle. It's easy enough...Good luck, /co/mrades!!

>>77858300
Man, that character creator looks like a lot of fun. I might have to try and get that even if the sale is over. I love things that let you just play around and create silly stuff like that.
Hey guys, I have a story time request I'd like to put out. There's this comic where Scrooge McDuck reads these letters this girl sent to him about her father and her poor life and he ends up helping pay her way through college. Anyone know what I'm talking about? I love that story so much.
>>77858256
>mfw that cryptogram
dude it's like 2am in here
I can feel the neurons dying inside my head
though I don't have an amazon wishlist I'll try to solve it just for fun
>>77858547
I enjoy it, it's a lot of fun! I've spent far more time making characters and setting up scenes for requests than the actual story took to complete.
>>77858256
Not even gonna try.
I drew this in a general drawthread earlier today but I thought it was pretty appropriate to post here, I'll probably ink and color it eventually
2SAWFL2HKRFNY
>>77858668
Yeah, that sounds about like what I'd do too. It wouldn't be the first time. I went nuts with the Gummi Ship stuff in KH 2. I made some crazy designs. Some goofy, some powerful. Got really high ranks as well.
my turn
>>77858894
Hah, I also did that in the KH games!
>>77858256
>>77858622
I'm a nice guy, so people are free to ask for clues...but I may have let on about how easy it is.
>>77858957
I made a Slice of Pie(with purple camo as filling), a Combo meal(Fries/Burger/Drink) and a Pickup truck, among others. They weren't that strong, but very fun to use.
>>77858968
I'm game. Drop us a little clue.
oh my goooodnesssss image limit reached :(
who wants to start the new one?
How up to date is the master list?
>>77859370
It was last updated a few hours ago. Doesn't look like my list link was added after Elusive said he would add it yesterday though.
>>77859455
It may have been taken off if someone got something for you. Some people link the ones they've gifted so they can be removed.
>>77859487
I thought so at first but nobody mentioned my code in the last thread or this one.
>>77859077
>>77858256
Hope you've got your erasers ready, /co/
This cryptogram, taken from an old song, is triple coded!!
Z = A....sometimes
L = I....sometimes
U = E...sometimes
Well, there's a comic book I've been wanting for a while now. But for the life of me I can't remember the name anymore. I just know it was thick and it had this superheroine in ripped blue clothes on the cover.
Un-something?
>>77859529
Are the first two words "And he"? If not then I can stop trying and go to bed.
>>77859618

I'm thinking of buying something from an international wishlist this year, to prove America's superiority in everything.
>>77859642
YES thank you. That was it.
Happy Holidays fellow /co/mrades! I'm a long time lurker, and I've always seen the Christmas threads but never knew what they were about until today. This looks pretty fun, I'll definitely be gifting some anons when I get my next paycheck, here's my code:

>>77860704
You're good people, SDU.
>>77860621
I'm more confused at the idea that someone was doing that kind of work... to send out emails that day.
I mean, it could have been automated, but it still seems weird timing.
But, I do my best to stay positive. Free time is reading comics, watching Netflix, and tweaking my resume... as I explain to friends and family who send me listings for jobs that have nothing to do with what I do that no, just because it seems 'computery' that doesn't mean it's what I do.
They try, and I do appreciate it... but you can't imagine how frustrating it is to try and explain to someone why the job listings they sent you you didn't apply for because it just isn't in your realm of expertise.
>>77860728
My money is better off spent making people happy then wasting it on random games and junk I buy for myself.

Been unemployed for a year and trying to find out why is driving me absolutely fucking insane. I've got respectable resume. I've got at least some college under my belt (couldn't afford to finish without taking out a loan and hell no to that). I'm a hard worker and don't complain. I've got many marketable skills. But nobody wants me. I'm about to be out on my ass because my roommates gave me until January to get out.
This is gonna be a tough Christmas.
>>77860753
I still have to wait until Monday to get my paycheck, but at least this year I'll have a pretty good one to spend on friends and family. And a few people in here, of course!
I can't remember, I vaguely remember a comic about Doom or Darkseid where Santa bypasses all of his defenses just to give him coal every year, anyone know what I'm talking about?

You can use excel to shift cyphers around pretty simply. I just did three different substitutions and then picked a quote with lots of commas so that I could break up the 3 different codes...which is equal parts helpful and dickish.

I tried taking it to MOGF (I assumed you did the same).

You don't have to. I don't. Hell, only posted it once actually. Not counting CREAM coercing me to in the shelf thread.

Bit the bullet, take the loan. It's how I got through college, along with some help from the government early on, but in the end years it was all loans. I only got to pay them off because my father died. But I'd have regretted not finishing college even if I regretted going at first. I needed that experience.
>>77861099
I've been tempted more than once, just for the sake of finishing, but my family is dirt poor trailer trash, every single one of them. I'd be the first person to even GO to college, let alone graduate.
I finished my Christmas shopping. Time to post my list and go to bed.

I was in a similar boat. I'd rather say I graduated than not. You might be able to find some scholarships that can help with that.
>>77861318
uh what
>>77861358
I've got to do something soon. I'm 26 and not getting any younger. My grades aren't bad by any stretch of the imagination, but they're not scholarship-worthy (trust me, I've tried).
I've been looking more and more into finishing overseas. The University of Munich offers an EXTREMELY low-cost 4-year program in my desired field and I'm so tempted. I can't afford much, but I can afford that.
