it might seem shitty since you are looking at it from a human perspective, but he wasn't a human, he was a kryptonian trying to save his species. There is nothing more pure or natural than an apex predator trying to remove competition and dominate territory.

look at what humans do to livestock? its ok to do these things because we are objectively better than they are, just like the kryptonians are objectively better than humans in ever conceivable way. a species needs to earn its survival, it doesn't have a right to it.
