Seconded.

People really like Toy Story 2 better than 1 or 3?

Huh. How about that.

Wall-e down one tier
The Incredibles up one tier
Inside Out down it's a tier of its own, people either love it or hate it, but I wouldn't consider it great, it wasn't exactly original.
Brave down to shit tier
Finding Nemo down to one tier
Eh, what the hell, I feel generous, Ratatouille up to one tier.

>>77841930
>Cars
>Not bad
Am I special snowflake or something? I remember seeing girls gushing over it, some boys liked it but forgot it exists in a month and I thought it was too stupid for me to watch.

>Brave being Great Tier
That belongs in the meh pile and you know it.

Switch Up and Monsters Inc around as well and you're golden.
>>
Was Wall-E really that good? I liked the underlying message and all, but the execution seemed a little clumsy. Ratatouille was good and all, but I couldn't shake the underlying feeling that most of the rats were going to die in like 3 years anyway, so I wouldn't call that a happy ending.
>>

no, stop it

I'm pretty sure no one else thought about that

MI and Ratatouie belong in great
MU and Up belong in good
Brave belongs in meh.

Monsters University, Cars

Cars 2

Haven't seen Good Dinosaur.

I'd move Brave down one, but apart from that, it looks good.

>>77841762
UP had a great opening and an arguably average rest of the movie.

Its good tier. A 5 minute amazing scene doesnt make up for the rest of the movie being meh.

Fuck you the part where Carl gets to Paradise Falls and realizes he isn't happy always gets me

I can't take Monsters University seriously because of that race scene.

This. The Incredibles is fucking overrated.
>>
I'm glad people are finally willing to admit Cars sucks.

When it came out people were like "no no it's great it's Pixar it's great"

Then when Cars 2 came out they were like "oh Cars 2 sucks but Cars 1 was pretty good"

And now finally people are willing to admit that it's shit filler movie made only to sell toys.
>>

It's nowhere near as bad as 2, but yeah, it's pretty shit.

Ratatouille was their best movie.

I agree with everything but I'd switch MU and Brave. I just couldn't care about that "princess proves everyone wrong" movie but really enjoyed MU.

The first one was pretty good in my opinion, but yeah Cars 2 sucks.

Buddy I've been going to /co/ for years and there were countless "when will Pixar finally make a bad movie" threads and I ALWAYS mentioned Cars and people ALWAYS went "Nah man you have shit taste Cars is great and A Bug's Life is amazing"

Frankly I don't like A Bug's Life, Ratatouille, Monsters INC, Finding Nemo, and Brave either, but I can see their merits. However Cars was a pure and simple cash grab and people still vehemently defend it.
>>
>>77842928
I mean the "when will Pixar finally make a bad movie" meme was so strong that normalfags picked it up

Switch MU and Brave.

Toy Story 3 was just a rehash of Toy Story 2.

Swap toy story 2 and 3, raise Monsters Inc, and put Brave in Meh tier where it belongs

>>77842660

I would personally argue a case for Inside out to go up one, but other than that, you're on the money. hell, if nothing else, you've got the best lineup so far.

I think Brave and Finding Nemo are incredibly overrated. Monsters University is very underrated.

When I'm drunk and high in the dark AM and I am masturbating furiously, my thoughts tend to drift towards the ending of Bugs Life. At a young age, seeing a beloved hero get a brutal beating was very...stimulating. Now, my fucked up brain has crafted a grandiose fantasy, of Hopper tearing off Flik's limbs one by one, Flik begging the colony for help, but they refuse out of fear. Eventually, Flik is an eyeless, limbless torso and head, begging to be put out of his misery.

Anyone want to RP some bugs life vote/Dom?

God:
Wall-e - Up - Inside Out - Ratatouille
Great:
Toy Story 3 - Toy Story 2 - The Incredibles
Good:
Toy Story 1 - Monsters Inc - Finding Nemo
Shit:
Cars

Haven't seen the others, but Ratatouille might be my personal favorite followed by Inside out and Up. They might not be the very best objectively, but I found them to hit pretty close. Also, TS3 might be the same as TS2, story-wise, but the nostalgia was pretty strong for me.
>>
Eh, just swap Brave and Monsters U's positions. Also, I never saw Wall-E.

why is a bug's life considered mediocre?
>>
>>77841810
seventh
>>
>>77845412
Not nearly as good as Toy Story. Characters were a little flat, story was little generic, and it didn't have memorable music like Toy Story.

Mind you it was their second movie after Toy Story so most criticism comes from how it's a lesser movie than TS
>>
>>77841762
Personally, I would move The Incredibles and Monsters Inc. up one tier each. But otherwise, this is pretty accurate to my tastes.
>>
>>77841762
Nah. The only animated sequel that surpasses the first is shrek 2 and just barely.
>>
>>77841762
Wall-E and Ratatouille are the best films Pixar has ever made, I will fight anyone irl who disagrees.

But i think we can all agree that the only good thing in Bug's Life was Hopper right?
>>
>The Good Dinosaur
>The is underlined

Am I meant to read/pronounce the title with a "thee" instead of "thuh"?
>>
I'd put the original Toy Story in God Tier because of how groundbreaking it was at the time. I believe it was the first movie to be animated completely in CGI. Wall E was also groundbreaking because of how it went a good 20 minutes without dialogue, which was unheard of for an animated movie.
>>
Honest question, why do people hate Cars? It wasn't the best Pixar movie but I enjoyed it. I've seen virtually everybody saying it's shit, but noone has never explained why.

Cars 2 was an abomination, no contest on that.

I won't argue it deserves higher but the unoriginal argument is a pile of shit. Yes, you saw personifications of the mind before. I saw living toys before toy story, I saw deconstructions of super heroes before incredibles, I saw a whole tv show about the premise of monsters inc before monsters inc. This is one of the least important quality deciders.

I'm probably the only one that enjoyed Brave the most out of their films 2bh

>That atmosphere
>The attention to detail in the animation/backgrounds
>The comfy setting
>The feeling of adventure when Merida goes outwith the castle and disobeys her dad
>The soundtrack
>Most of the characters
>The weird unexplained witch providing an air of mystery

The entire thing just seemed like a step up from what they were doing in Cars, Monsters Inc and Up.

Cars 2 was a cash grab, Cars was a cynical contractual obligation. It was made when Eisner Jewed Pixar so hard that he got shitcanned and replaced with a different Jew willing to play ball. The inherent bitterness of the film and the short before it(Pixar mocking Disney and Dreamworks with their Mary Sue who needed neither of them) is still so ugly. The short with the Mary Sue rabbit beating the shit out of Walt Disney was at least funny.
