Thread question: What book are you most looking forward to?
>>77826292
>What book are you most looking forward to?
The wife's getting me The Multiversity and Black Hole for Christmas. What about you, mate?
Any good deals on omnibuses for cyber monday?
>>77826292
Would it be possible to get more pictures of the Goon Library edition? Like, does it have a dust jacket, or is it just a hardcover like Fear Agent or Hellboy?
Today I bought
>Batman Earth One Vol 1
>X-O Manowar Vol 1
>Wytches Vol 1
>>77826701
Prolly the private Eye hc or eteranaut
>>77826948
Yeah give me a few minutes
>>77826292
>What book are you most looking forward to?
Private Eye HC and Black Panther by Christopher Priest Vol 2
>>77826948
Ok goon dump rolling out now.
It's the same size as the fear agent one I believe. The dust jacket comes with UV printing on the goon. Mine came wrinkled for some reason.
Read up on the inside of the dust jacket.
Without the jacket
Binding is great, as expected.
>>77826292
>What book are you most looking forward to?
The Eternaut
>>77828008
you think it's worth it to replace my fury tpbs for that hardcover?
anything new or considerably better in comparison?
>>77828008
>corto
Nice, always love seeing those in these threads
>>77828559
No problem, always happy to post shitty pictures of books
>>77828557
Honestly, I don't think so. All it adds are a few cover sketches and some of Parlov's page inks for issue 13. The hardcover looks pretty nice under the dust jacket though, so there's that.
Can we talk about how Image's HC's are so overpriced compared to any other publisher
>>77828608
I haven't had time to read much but I'm really enjoying it.
C'mon /co/mrades this is the third in as many days! Having said that I'm getting the new Marc Bell book, for sure.
>>77829050
It's real good I think beyond the windy isles is the stronger of the 2 they've released so far.
so I just recently finished cosmic marvel from Annihilators to Thanos Imperative.
Looking to pickup GotG specifically (and Thanos Imperative).
Should I get the Part 1/2 Collections in paperbacks or hold off until the Omnibus comes out.
I'm just concerned that Omnibus size and hardcover makes it too troublesome to read.
what are some good omnibuses to get?
my budget is $50
some that have caught my eye is
Neal Adam's Batman
Walt Simonson's Orion
Warren Ellis' Planetary
Grant Morrison's Animal Man
but I'm also open to any suggestions
>>77831236
Oh those I would say Orion and Batman are your best bets
>>77831236
Animal man
X-statix
Stray bullets
Sleeper
>>77831236
Its not out yet but Superior Foes of Spider-Man
>>77831236
Johns' JSA
X-Statix
Doom Patrol
Black Friday purchases.
What's the difference between the old Frank Miller Daredevil omnibus and the upcoming new version?
>>77833241
Nothing, its a reprint.
I've never read Sandman (I know, fuck me, right?) and I've been meaning to pick it up, but I don't know what format to go with. How are the omnibi? Is there any gutter loss?
>>77834414
Just go with the absolute edition they are way better and more easy to read and around the same price for all of them as the omnibus here's is a pic of mines
Here's mines there's a couple of books missing because I just move but a good amount are in one of my book shelves
>>77833236
You should also pick up the DJango/Zorro comic.
>>77833522
Yay
>>77834892
I might if this is a good read. I really got it because it was $5 and I loved the movie.
>>77827673
Fuck that looks good grrrr I already spend so much this month I can't get this
Bought these today. Complete Case Files 01 is in the mail.
>>77835402
...and my shelves.
what book am i most looking forward to
preacher absolute vol 1 without a doubt
>>77831236
morrisons animal man or fear agent
>>77834414
really strarting to get triggered with this. i love that people want to collect it and i'm not attacking you personally but the OMNIBUSES ARE A WASTE OF MONEY. Save up and get the absolutes or you'll regret it.
We have had about 5 people buy sandman in the past 2 months. 2 went with the 10 book trade, 2 went with omnibus and 1 went with the absolute
1 person was happy and it's because he's a commuter reader so he needed the flexibility a tpb provides...

look at this... look at list price, isbn does not match the following but...
i think ist has this 70% off right now? IST doesn't say it's the OVERsized limited edition, but i don't think there is a limited edition that ISN'T oversized

from wikipedia "r Top Shelf Productions in 2012, in a softcover edition as well as a deluxe, oversized, limited edition hardcover.[5]"
Confirmed for awesome deal I guess... I'm gonna grab one and hopefully the quality is nice.. I'm assuming it's nice because a 164 page oversized hardcover is a really high MSRP.
If anyone has experience with this book let me know! Thanks
>>77838967
From instocktrades and Amazon really cheaply for 25 each pretty much
recently bought moebius's incal. cant wait to read it when i have the time. any moebius fans? any other recs? also bought arzach recently

That's one of the more sought after ones, unless you picked up a modern Spanish/French edition.
The Long Tomorrow and Airtight Garage are both really great scifi stories he did, also Blueberry was his long running Western series he did under his real name Jean Giraud
>Flash by Geoff Johns at IST $12.49
>Shipping $29.12
Local comic shop has it for $44.
I gotta start hunting kangaroos or something. collecting down under is suffering

Okay, lads. Here's a question for you all, if your collection was going to be destroyed and you had the choice to keep 10 books, what would 10 books would you keep?
>>77833236
Oh, it's great to see that Enemy ace book we talked about. $10, you'd have been literally a lunatic not to pick it up. And although I wouldn't spend money on it myself, that Starlord statue is kind of cool.

Is this any good?
These fucking threads have made me buy so many damn books in the past few months. It also make me sad there are so many of my favorites not collected though.
Buying from IST is worth it just to see the immaculate packing job they do. My valiant omnibuses (thanks again anon for the heads up) are looking great.
Ostrander's SS is getting reprinted, Vol. 2 is out in a couple months.
Is Private Eye any good? I've never heard of it. I've liked Vaughn's Ex Machina but Y and Saga have left me a bit cold.
>>77849677

nice. i see a guy has sold 7 for undisclosed amount. he has acutions at 525
i dropped him a line, linked him to the deal and said "hey man since im hooking you up with an opportunity to make more money, tell me what you've sold yours for so i have an idea of how much i can sell the single one i purchased for"
hopefully that good will goes a long way and he doesn't just ignore me heh
either way i think ill make some bank off it.. i think they normally sell for $320 on that shout site though? i think they dropped the price a little back
the move may be to wait until they are sold out and sell again next year around christmas.. we'll see...
Nothing new yet. I'm waiting on my copy of Empowered Deluxe 1 to come in the mail tomorrow. I also need to pick up my copies of Chew Smorgasbord Edition volume 2 and Rat Queens Deluxe volume 1 pretty soon. I'm trying to replace my Omnivore editions with the bigger and nicer Smorgasbord edition and all of my Empowered with the deluxe editions. And why not throw in the Amazon wishlist thing. I don't expect anything but it never hurts to try.

I like a storytime of pain as much as anyone else, but why go out of your way to actually buy it?
>>77851205
I'm a huge fan of the Luna brothers. I own Girls, The Sword, and Ultra in their deluxe editions. And if they release Alex + Ada, I will own that one to.
Got my Marvel Artist Select Series oversized limited edition signed hardcover today. Sal Buscema's Hulk and holy fuck is it nice. It has an awesome rough clothed slipcase. The paper quality is interesting and I'm not sure if I have a book with paper like this in my collection? not sure how to describe it..
In the back there were 4 clear inserts with light sketching, color palletes and inks, 4 of them and if you layer them on top it makes the whole image. If anyone know what these are called, these sheets, please let me know. I know one is inks for sure. the other colored pages... not sure what those are technically called. I got book 888 signed out of 999, so that's kinda shitty but check dem trips smhfam
>>77827673

I tried to get into Blueberry based on that page (I was aware of it before since I'm a huge Moebius fan - who isn't reall?) but I was really disappointed after reading the first few chapters, it doesn't look like Moebiu art at all, and not like that spread either. It just seems so incredibly boring and blad compared to his other works...
Does it get better?
pic related, my copy of airtight garage...
>>77848844
How is the JSA Omnibus? I'm working through JSA: Classified right now and am really enjoying it.
>>77852426
I'd imagine pretty stable for a while, first one came out just last month after all. Plus DH is really good at keeping their books in print. Also the hellboy LE are still affordable
>>77848883
>backs of the comics perfectly allign over the entire shelf
This pleases my autism. Somehow everything I buy is always off by just a few centimeters and the ones that do match up never fill a shelf. I guess this might be a yuropoor problem...
>>77850358
I've been doing this for a while now with used collections off ebay kleinanzeigen (essentially german craigslist) - I keep what I want and try to resell the rest for the original price or just a little less.
I managed to flip a few collections but I recently got stuck with a 400$ investment of more indie stuff that I personally loved but nobody seems to want to buy.
It's a pretty autistic way of making money, it kinda does work but it's not really worth all the time invested, you'd earn more by just taking a shitty part time job for the hours you spent. It's more fun though...
>>77853024
>Also the hellboy LE are still affordable
really? got a link for that? All versions I can find are just short of 200$ and the original price must have been 50$ or something?

Too much cape for my taste but some good choises I guess.
How's the Dragonball full color? Usually re-coloring for manga is absolute shit but DB came out when WSJ still did full color chapters, not one page every two months so I assume it also has originally colored chapters? Plus I'd love to have DB bigger than tankobon size.
I feel like doing 1:1 prints of the artist's pages for popular works would be something incredibly obvious but even in Japan I don't think there exists anything aside from slightly oversized tankobons...
>>77853551
wait you guys don't have a job, do this resale thing and other things to make a constant stream of cash?
>>77854317
I like Saga a lot even though it has some cringy moments. I feel like there are more and more comments saying it's SJW crap and while it certainly has a heavy female perspective which is unusual for mainstream comics I think people are overreacting and mixing up character thoughts with those of the author which is always a terrible idea...
>>77854939
Full Color Dragon Ball is rad as fuck. I love the size of the book. It's a really good color job. Viz is just retarded as fuck and the Freeza arc for the full color doesn't come out until May 2016.
>>77855044
No that's impossible if you don't live in a literal basement or in some shithole country with no living costs.
It's just a way of making a bit of money on the side or financing your comic purchases (at least for me) but as I explained it would be smarter to just get a regular part time job.
Remeber when Homer bought tons of bacon just to sell the lard for a few cents? Yeah.
I assume there are a few people here who could go professional with an online shop or something but in my experience, once you get into taxes you're fucked.
What's some good non cape stuff to read? I've been checking out saga , sex criminals, and chew but I know there's a lot more.

Why would you consider any of those cape?
Also cape is really disappointing if you come from non-cape and indie comics, even the works that are considered the greatest capestuff of all time are just plain average in comparison.
Still, I really enjoyed Allstar Superman and most of the Moore and Miller stuff so that might be the place to start.
Also there's Hellboy of course which I kinda consider to be an exception from cape for it's unique artstyle, paneling and exceptional coloring.

Trying to pass off somebody else's shelf as yours is kinda shitty bro.

Look man, that is actually my shelf. I like your stuff. I'm a big fan of invincible and spider-man but attacking other people's taste is pretty shitty of you.
>>77856524
>>77856604
Wait shit when are they gonna do deluxe editions of this? I've kinda been on a kick recently.
>>77856293
Ah, missed the "non" in your post.
Well as with any genre it's never wrong to just start with some classics and see where that takes you - I think Moebius and Jodorowsky have allready been mentioned ITT, then there's the classic franco-belgian stuff like Herge and US disney stuff (which I personally hate, especially duck comics).
There are a few excellent German artists (it's a small scene but you can find a lot of unique stuff), from the top of my head jens harder is just amazing, pic related.
Then of course there's manga which is a whole different thing all together, if you wanna try I'd recommend something with a stron western style like Solanin.
Also there's a surprising amount of interesting chinese comics (mostly less plot-oriented and experimental art styles), try remember by benjamin.
If you want to stick with US releases just look through some of the shelves ITT.
>>77853824
I have that Look & Find: Spider-man
>>77856799
When all the trades are out says Brandon Graham. Which is probably him being an asshole because you have to wait for all the trades then wait for each hardcore volume to come out.

Speaking of, I have the feeling getting into Ultimate X-men will be easier than classic, so how are the Ultimate Collections?
>>77859127
You don't want to read Ultimate X-Men
>>77859127
The Thor on that guy's shelf is Simonson's run, the best guy to ever write/draw Thor. Nothing revolutionary or spectacular (I personally don't even consider it among his best work), but there's solid writing and excellent art as expected from Walt.
Though I wouldn't recommend those trades. They're all recolored, and all for the worse.
>>77851645
I dunno, the other sheets might be rubylith, a part of the pre-digital colouring process. It'd help if you could take a photo of each sheet...rubylith was used for colour seperations...great article about early comics colouring here (and funny!) Dave Sim interviewing Neal Adams....if you're interested, give it a read, man.
http://comicscomicsmag.com/?p=508
>>77859157
Why?
>>77859240
That's sort of a shame that all Thor ever amounts to is mediocraty.
>>77859353
>mediocraty
I...didn't say that. I personally prefer trippier/headier stuff than Thor's more typical superhero fare, but there's no denying it succeeds at what it does. And it's only not among Simonson's best because Simonson is a legend and most everything he does is great.
>>77852713
I got a copy of Taboo #3 (w/the Moebius Dogmen cover w/red background) which has the first English printing of Eye of the Cat in it, and a weird Spain comic synopsis of Jodorowsky's film El Topo?! Anyway I scored it cheaply as part of a job lot of alt stuff that NO=ONE else bid on, I was buzzing with that...
>>77859123
kek
im reading annihilator right now, really like the writing and story so far, seems pretty neat
i feel like it could be a good movie
>>77859453
Jodorowsky makes great surealist films. You should check out the holy mountain and the dance of reality. Some consider his stuff to be pretentious but I really like the visuals.
He tried to make a high budget movie adaptation of herbert's dune just before star wars came out but studio bosses fucked him over.
There's a documentary about it, called Jodorwosky's dune. It also touches on how idears and concepts salvaged from the failed project lead to the creation of both The Incal and the Metabarons, while some of the other artists involved became crucial to the making of Alien.
It's pretty incredible, really.

>failed project lead to the creation of both The Incal and the Metabarons,

>>77859775
How are Jodo's Westerns? I only know him for his science fiction.
>>77859577
Hmm, how's the art in it. And what would you rate it on the g morrison scale.?
>>77859127
>>77859240
I agree, it's solid but not mind-blowing. There's some really neat stuff though, like Malekith's debut (and great old-school character design), Beta Ray Bill, Frog Thor. I should reread it some time, haven't looked at it since the last volume came in.
>>77859350
it was impossible to photograph two of them. you can only see the transparent colors for two of them at specific angles
anyways, 2 of them are just a single color, one has a third color plus some lines, then the other page is inks. wish i could have shown you but i gave up after 15 minutes
also i made this little display until i get bored of it to celebrate my new purchase
>>77859889

Don't forget the Executioner at Gjallerbru
>>77859901
I actually thought his FF was better on the whole. More imaginative, flat out greater artistic skill, and he draws all but 6 issues (with Art Adams drawing another 3). There's a single Epic Collection with the whole thing; definitely worth checking out.

Here is my collection from the past couple years of working at a comic shop.
1/12
2/12
Just finished reading Morrison's Animal Man the other day. It deserves all of the hype. I can understand why some people aren't the biggest fan of his work, but after I understood his writing style he is one of my favorites.
3/12
4/12
An anon from a shelf thread a couple months ago recommended that I read Wizzywig. I really enjoyed it. It was a great insight on the rise of hacking culture as well as an enjoyable story.
>>77860553
How's the Ultimate Spiderman Omni?
5/12
Here are my unread books. Part of the issue of working around comics all day is that you tend to blow a decent amount of money impulsively buying things you may never read. That being said, is there anything I should read super soon?
6/12
More unread books.
>>77860571
The book itself is made fairly well, the same quality of all of the Marvel Now omnis it seems. The story itself is amazing, I need to go back and re-read it and actually finish it but it is one of my favorite Spider-Man Stories.
7/12
A few more unread books.

I am a big Francavilla fan.
>>77860647

What do you like about those #1s anon?
I feel like if I were going to hang up #1s I'd buy ones I really like that are still cheap and have 10/10 Covers like pic related. Even better get it blown up into a poster. I feel like modern would not sit right with me on the wall.
>>77860738
I honestly don't think of the value of them too much. I like the way they look in my room, and like all of the covers. I have about 12 short boxes full of single issues, with a handful of rare #1s but some of the covers are a bit too bland for me. I do agree that having modern comics hung up with golden age comics wouldn't look great.

>>77860838
That's most of it and the best stuff
>>77860838
they'll probably put out another volume with the rest of the run. The Epic collections have a weird release schedule
>>77852803
So so good, honestly. I bought it on kind of a whim last winter when I was having a phase of obsession with Stargirl, and I came away loving the entire JSA. It's a nice book too - easily the thickest I own. That said, it can sometimes be mildly cumbersome to read comfortably, but as long as you're prepared for that the content itself is fantastic.
>>77853312
The last 3 Batman & Robin volumes by Morrison are very slightly shorter in height than all my other books. It hurts me physically when I study them too long. And filling the shelf isn't an issue, I have a box of Marvel trades somewhere that I simply don't have anywhere to put them
>>77859127
I like the original Ultimate X-Men, and you're right; it is easier to get into. And, if you power through the dark days there is some stunning artwork through the years. That said, don't go into it expecting classic X-Men, go in expecting something new and you'll probably enjoy it more. In terms of the actual books, yeah the Ultimate Collections are nice. I'd probably prefer an Omnibus just for convenience, but these aren't bad editions at all.
>>77859240
oh hell naw, dont tell me thattt i just ordered the first two simonson thor tpbs like 2 days ago
I'm sure I'll still enjoy them anways but damn.
Alright shelfags, I got 100 buckaroos burning a hole in my ass. What should I buy? One big omnibus or a bunch of smaller books? Some books I'm looking at are the 52 Omnibus and those 3 trades collecting Brubaker's Daredevil. Any suggestions?
>>77859127
The first 12 issues of Jason Aarons The Mighty Thor are pretty awesome, you can probably find a copy of the oversized HC used now for cheap
>>77860602

>>77860578
>>77860602

>>77861793

>>77861793
I'd get the trades. It'll leave you some cash to try out something new
>>77861877

That is if DC even bothers finishing reprinting them...
Has anyone ever bought something off D+Q's site? I saw they had a cyber monday deal going on so I bought some Moomin books to give my girlfriend for Christmas. Though I'm kinda worried they might not be here on time now.
>>77862184
Can't say that I have, did they not give you an estimated time of delivery?
>>77862224
They did, but on Fantagraphics' site the estimated time was bullshit and I ended up waiting about three or four months for anything to arrive. D+Q was from the same kinda underground comics community Fantagraphics was and I'm worried they might be as unorganized as Fanta when it comes to shipping.
>>77856791
Sorry anon. I take back my insult because you're cool and respect my tastes.
I got the Walking Dead season 5 bluray statue set if that counts for anything. It's smaller than I expected. I can fit it in the previous sets' boxes. I think I should have waited before pre-ordering.
>>77862295
Glad I didn't order from Fanta on Cyber Monday then.
>>77862808
Yeah you might have been lucky and gotten it right if you'd ordered at midnight, but anytime I've bought something from one of their sales or pre-ordered something I'd get put on wait lists over and over again because they didn't have enough stock at their warehouse. The worst part is they don't even send an email telling you when your order actually ships out so you never know when they'll get it out.
Of course that was before they overhauled their website earlier this year. Who knows, maybe they have better practices in place now.
>>77862955
Yeah I used their site to send me email alters if certain comics go back in print, I don't expect them too, but if they do I need to jump on them this time around
>>77860816
I've not really taken an interest in any of these video game/miniature things before, but I love that Mega Man one. I also so a cool-looking Mewtwo at Wal-Mart last week.
>>77861687
You think that's bad, thank god you didn't buy the fourth volume of B&R which is even shorter. My shelf is in disarray but this still maddens me.

Sorry to sound like a cunt, thanks for sharing the information but I've been into Jodorowsky's films for years Anon. But yeah, the Dune documentary was great can you imagine of Jodo published a facsimile "Dune Bible"?! Shit would be amazing. Any Anon's remember when Chris Foss did a Dredd story? It might be in the later Case Files, I dunno, it was bloody terrible, visuals-wise, though. Like he'd been painting spaceships so long he'd forgotten how to draw human anatomy. Anyway, yeah, Holy Mountain is one of my favourite films (anyone with the imagination to tell the story of the Spanish massacre of the Incas(?) with LIZARDS, real, fucking lizards dressed up as Cortez, is okay in my fucking book!), I love the esoteric symbolism, everything...it was actually the defunct hip-hop band Company Flow who got me into his FILMS, they used a sample from Holy Mountain on their track "Help Wanted" which I always thought was just the intro to Population Control" ("we manufacture war toys....to condition children from birth") from their 1997 album "Funcrusher Plus (dunno if you're into rap) and in them pre-internet days it took me a few months to track it down but I got a dubbed VHS of it in the end. But yeah, Jodo rules. I think Ted McKeever got a lot from Fando Y Lis for his comic Industrial Gothic, if you've ever read that? How come no-one on /co/ talks about Ted McKeever?!
Dunno if you dig rap but there's no rapping on the track, just a fucked up drumbeat and unsettling sample over the speech:
https://youtu.be/DPX4c0XdImA
I always thought of this as the intro to the "Population Control" song since it fits so well....
Anyway cheers Anon, I might've had no idea about Jodo.......

>>77877289
I'll be honest, I'm the same, really loving the TV show and wanting to read more Flash. /co/ seems to be in favor of what Johns did with Flash, and so far I'm loving the comic, pic related is where I have read to. Keep in mind this Flash is Wally (Kid Flash) not Berry, but it doesn't matter it's fucking great man.
Ok for that one anon last thread asking about the metabarons pics it just came in, but my back camera literally just broke on my way home so I took pics on my front facing camera. I apologize in advance for the shit quality
The cover is several different materials with gloss on the front and matte on the back and spine
Sewn binding is a plus
It about the same height and width as the asterios polyp hc, so slightly bigger than an average hc trade
And a cool page I found no extras just the afterwards

SORRY!! I didn't get a chance to look at it yet, I have it bookmarked. I was super busy last night and it looked to be a 20 minute read. I'll check it out tonight or tomorrow. I do appreciate you posting it, don't think it went unnoticed!

"Tim Sievert by Tim Sievert Hugh is a fisherman with a special relationship to the sea; a relationship based on respect and reverence. But when Hugh feels that the sea has betrayed him, his whole existence is thrown out of whack. Hell-bent on settling the score, Hugh takes his revenge to the extreme, jeopardizing not only himself, but his family in the process, becoming a story about change, and learning the price for trifling with the natural progression of things."
It was $3.00 marked 70% down during IST's black friday sale and seemed interesting so I picked it up. I'll probably read it tonight, I just flipped through it, doesn't look like it can take more than 30 minutes to read.

I recently picked up the first two volumes of Largo Winch from Cinebook which I am enjoying a lot.
>>77890992
No problem mate, really glad you enjoyed it! It was without a doubt Piskor's first "mature work"--gotta love the cover, too.
I read somewhere that the film character version was supposed to be a melange of semi-"outsider" musicians, like Captain Beefheart and that solo guy who plays under one name who's name I have conveniently forgotten (he's still performing but started in the late 60's, I think, always been on UG/indy labels) and the "real" Frank Sidebottom. But yeah, he used to be on "the telly" loads when I was growing up and was gigging 'til he died. Try and find his punk medley, it's funny as shit.

Amazon from a third party seller for $90. I had about $85 in store credit so it wasn't so bad. And the Smorgasbord editions are great. The first one is down to $66 at Amazon. Maybe cheaper at IST but I don't know. They are huge and over sized. Instead of ten issues like the Omnivore they are 20 issues.
>>77910885
They are pretty tall and have a nice slipcase for them. They also have an embroidered lace bookmark attached to them which is something I haven't seen with the Image Deluxe Editions.

Je parle francais ne pas tres bien.
But I hope to get a lot better at reading since I just bought the first 30 volumes of JoJo in french for 100 bucks.
Getting them in Japanese is like 400$ with shipping and I'm too impatient to wait for the new hc release (which admittedly looks fantastic).
Does anyone else buy comics in languages other than english?
>>77909036
Is it good compared to cape classics like All star Superman or Watchmen? I'm not really into cape but I love hellboy and I think Starman was in one of the earlier crossover... The one with Batman.
I just really noticed, I have hardly no hard copies of comics.
>>77907023

Whomever you bought it from must be a fucking idiot. Even if you know nothing about comics you can see from the quality of the book that it's worth a lot more than that.
Anyways, congratz.
>>77911237
You should read some stuff by stanislaw lem dude, you'll love it.
I'm surprised there aren't any comic adaptations even though there are some excellent like Tarkovsky's Solaris or the recent Le Congress which is essentially Space Jam on acid.

>>77911579
Yeah that was neat.
I recently bought hellboy volumes 1-10 by crosscult. It seemed like a bargain so I didn't think long.
Turns out the books are like 10cm high each and all black and white even though they are like 20$ a volume.
Fuck Crosscult!
>>77911851
take all your books out, caress them tenderly and say itll be alright, sell your bookcases, and get a bigass wall unit made with thick shelves that will never bow or sag, with the exact compartments you want.
you've got the cash, youve got the mancave, just fucking go for it.
>>77911821
whatever shelving you get from ikea just make sure the overall thickness of the shelf will handle the weight on it, shorter shelves can be thinner, longer ones thicker... nothing sucks more than spending a chunk of money on a unit and your books have fucked it all up within a year
>>77912030
oh man, that really really sucks dude, maybe see if you can sell them or return if they were really recent buys? the Library editions are wonderful and apparently quite cheap on IST, if youre in the states and are the prefered editions, even if i dont have them myself. lol
Looking to sell Preachers Book 1-5 for space and because I don't really intend to do a reread anytime soon.

Got someone here that wants to sell some comics can you recommend anyting out of this:
Superman Aliens
Green Lantern Emerald Twillight
Daredevil The Devil inside and out (both Vol.)
Deadpool Secret Invasion
The Punisher: Born
Superman Our World at War
Also he got something called:
X-Force Angel & Demons
X-Force Old Ghosts
A daredevil comic but I forgot the name. Cover is white background and he is falling head-bottom.
Also 2 JLA-Books without title. One of them theres superman (behind him the other JLA) and bottom right is shazam.
Other one looks more seriou, different style and has greenish background with the members of JLA on it. A lot more shadow/muscle.
Don't know maybe one of those is worth a read. Tell me and I'll get it. Otherwise I'd like to buy Planet Hulk. I heared its supposed to be a good read.

I'm not at home right now but it is really cool, it collects in hardcover The long Halloween, Dark victory, Haunted knight and Catwoman: when in Rome
It actually was the first physical comics I bought so it holds a special place for me. the really cool thing about it really is that the translation is from Spain so and in Spanish DC translations (unlike marvel ones) they don't translate the names so it still "catwoman" instead of "gatubela"
>>77909036
