The premise for this show (at least what I remember) was fucking stupid. Disregarding the fact that brain transplants don't exist and don't make any sense and that he literally wouldn't be the same person at all and he was given the brain of a DEAD PERSON, he was apparently given the brain of a schizophrenic dead person. I mean, it's better than being dead, but you'd think there'd be more than one brain and that they wouldn't take the brain of, again, someone with schizophrenia. Secondly, Why make such a fucking convoluted way to bring cartoon characters to real life? They're not real in any way shape or form, and literally only exist in his mind. There's only so much you could do with something like that.

Also, wasn't his sister an alien or something? Why? Was the premise of "cartoons coming to reality" not enough and they had to throw in some unrelated premise for another show?
And why just make her green with antenna? Like, how fucking lazy can you be?

It seems that when people say "Cartoons suck now compared to the 90s" or "Cartoons are worse than ever", they're really thinking about 2004-2010 - or, if you wanna be generous, 2008-2010 - and not the present day.

Sure, there were some gems (Avatar most of all), but much of it was cheap Flash and cold CGI, as well as live-action kidcoms threatening to devour the animation industry whole. Shows such as Back at the barnyard, Tak and the Power of Juju, Out of Jimmy's Head, etc. really encapsulate what this era was all about.

Things have definitely picked up in the New '10s, but for those few years things seemed like they would never look up, at least to me (and, if old forum posts are any indication, many other people).
