I hated the Bubbler's voice. The character's design was already way, way, way too goofy so giving him some sort of exaggerated surfer dude accent was just a step too far in my opinion. Gabriel's voice was okay I suppose. And Adrien is still way too wooden. If anything, I probably hated the Bubbler episode even more than the Stormy Weather episode as far as English dub voice acting is concerned.

Yeah well, just because the French screwed up as well does not mean it is okay. The fact is the Bubbler was terrible. Just way too goofy even for a show like this. In general that episode seemed like it was for an even younger audience than the target demographic. The Bubbler's design, his voice, his motive (adults are ruining the fun for us kids, time to trap them in a bubble prison and send them to the stratosphere), his everything was just SHIT.

Get ready for English dub, which already has a different airing order, let alone whatever wildcard episode they play after

How do you fuck a dub up this badly? The script's not even terrible. The jokes are genuinely funny, but their delivery is either completely dead or they put too much emphasis on the godamn pun in the line.

Whoever is doing the vocal direction for the english dub needs to be taken out back and shot. 3/10 fucking 4Kids has done a better job.

The lines are pretty funny, but puns are automatically shit if you emphasize them, something that the voice director seems to have missed the memo on.

Stormy Weather and Bubbler are honestly two of the worst episodes, and the voice direction being this obviously shit is starting off the series' NA run on a really bad foot.

So, I should just stay away from the English dub and pray the French episodes will be subbed? They certainly don't sound childish in the original version.

The show is childish by default. It's a kids' show. Anyone saying otherwise is just lying to themselves.

You can have a good performance and still be childish. The problem I have with the English dub is that it's a terrible performance from a lot of good talent. It'd be one thing if these were Literally Whos or something, but we've got fucking Riven, Eren, and Gantu as our main protagonists and antagonist, and only ONE of those three sounds like they're not new to the gig.

The worst part is that periodically you do get golden lines with good delivery, but they're so few and far between that you barely catch it between winces.

Korean dub has more emotion, but is frequently inaccurate and gook squeals sound awful in general.

French dub is the source language and sounds beautiful, but lacks some of the details of the Korean and some people think Chat is sexier in gook. Ladybug sounds better in French though.

This is really a moot question though, as you can only view all the released episodes by sampling from both Korean and French, as they both have incomplete translations.
