Post pilots that didn't make it
I'd watch it. Dude has pitched
multiple shows to Nick and not picked them up. Instead they get Breadwinners (who I just learned are supposed to be ducks when it was being canceled) Pig Goat Banana Cricket (not bad but not great either) and now that Cupcakery of Doom (which is just horribly inane).
I think he should try again with these since they've reworked their production structure.
It had some problems but it was okay. I would have watched it.
The biggest question I have is why none of her friends offered to paint the lockers or clean the bathroom to cover her ass.
The one friend literally stood there and did nothing for the plot. Some friend I guess.
I've asked before but got no answer. I remember seeing a pilot on here (Well more like an intro), it was about a team of ghost hunters and it was incredibly catchy. Kind of sounded like the songs from Hercules (Same style of music). Anyone know what I'm talking about?
We had this thread yesterday
Yea it could have been a good "kid friendly" Conan. Evil Wizard doing something. Comes in to wreck their stuff, Wizard craps himself and is defeated by himselfbefore the hero really gets into it.
>Fucking Zuko as the cat
I'm 100% ok with this
Now i know why /co/ was going crazy over this pilot when it first came out, holy shit that was good. looks like something cartoon network would greenlit.
How come we always end up getting shows like TTGO and Breadwinners but never shows like these? can cartoon executives really not differentiate a show's quality like pickle and peanut to forever 12? why does shit like mr.pickles exist, but Korgoth gets the short end of the stick? it just doesn't make any sense to me.
Why do kids get the pizza while we get the crust?
Because it's 2015, and as ridiculous as that sounds, that means that people know generally what will and won't work. It costs money to invest in something that might not last long or catch the general audience's eye, but it's a much more profitable outcome if you invest in something that's cheap to make, will guarantee kid's attention or some sort of attention, and can be used to make simple merchandise.
me too, shane is maximum shota
Oh hey, I actually recognize the voice of the friend.
The pilot has a lot of faults, but also one big good thing.
If I could I would fund the shit out of these shows
Robotech. The scene in which one of the main characters die.It compares the original cut with the remastered version.RV was very criticized due to censorship of some scenes and many problems with the soundtrack.
Kitty Bobo would be better as a reworked version of MTV's Downtown
Less focus of just 1 character who is a snide asshat and a more multi cultured approach to a gang of 3 Dimensional characters, but not 3D animated
So what your saying is that people in almost every industry won't take risks anymore, even thought that's usually the most lucrative road to go down? man that's depressing
in a textbook world yeah, but there will always people who aim for innovation. Shit the current standard is kind of like old or shit or something. Everyone still thinking like we in an industrial society when we post industrial.
I thoroughly enjoyed that.
Not sure how they would've been able to stretch it into a whole cartoon though, planet was a little dead, not much fun to look at.
Shape shifting alien was freaky as hell, the main characters were solid and that scene with the forklift bots getting discontinued got a legitimate chuckle outta me.
What the hell, 7/10.
>crazy dogfights and deadly family tension
>light-hearted comedy sprinkled in to break up the melodrama
WHY ARE WE NOT FUNDING THIS
Not going to lie. Sailor Bird gives me an uncomfortable feeling in my pants.
God Fucking Dammit. Kitty Bobo could've been that good slice-of-life cartoon Regular Show keeps failing at.
>a cartoon about nothing to really small things with no 2deep4u lore.
Could it happen /co/?
>that was our son, he has a cell phone!
every fucking time.
Honestly the first one probably lost the moment it gave itself its title, because executives would be afraid of promoting truancy. Kitty Bobo kind of looks like it would get attention from a demographic older than what Cartoon Network at the time was looking for.
>looks really good
>moves really good at times
>a little tumblresque but i can dig it
>the animation is choppier than SU RG and AD
Korgoth was just too expensive. That was it. Adult Swim loved Korgoth, why do you think they aired the shit out of the pilot when it came out. But everything else is just because executives want cartoons for children, not everyone. Not sure why children matter anymore since they found out iPads and Netflix were a thing, my niece always watches netflix on her Mom's iPad. Why cater to a dying demographic when 18 - 30 year olds have been digging a lot of cartoons lately? Because executives don't know what tumblr, /co/, or reddit is.
>look it up on e621
Good lord, that pilot was El Tigre as fuck. Fund it.
>3 Dog Band
I want it so badly
It hurts, /co/
>it was originally made to compete with other channels that were riding the bandwagon of the Toonami craze that caused CN to rake in ratings
>this pilot was actually a really good concept that was ruined because the creator wanted better wages and work hours
>nick, being the brainless idiots they are, said "NO SHOW FOR YOU"
Nick is retarded.
Like, really retarded.
>would've been the first cartoon made by a woman on CN if it was picked up
A damn shame.
She also had a kickstarter for a show akin to Josie and the Pussycats, and that failed too.
I hope she hasn't given up.
>alternate universe where this show actually got picked up
>constant complaints from disney of their children getting expelled because TV made it look cool
We have this thread on a fairly regular basis.
Sure the animation is a little choppier, but the artstyle actually looks like it had effort put into it.
Also holy shit that is not what I expected the villain to sound like.
I'm into it. Also multiple arms is my fetish.
Carmen's hair is actually kinda difficult to draw. Also everyone's skirts are kinda short in the best kind of way.
The first 35 seconds are the only good thing about the Groovinians:
Doozy Bots - 80s American Gundam. I thouht there was a pilot but, I could not find it. Only found the promo video for it:
I want to imagine how horrible it would have been.
I needed a good laugh before passing out.
It's best not to question it.
Why would you tell me these lies?
>Robo Master Shake
>waifu tier space cadet.
unexpectedly good. Its like all the pieces are there for some good shit.
Not even sure how to react, its just like clap clap clap, here is a gold star.
