Is Hellboy the perfect package
>Great Animated Movies
>Great Live Action Cinematic Movies
>Wonderful cast of secondary characters
>hot qt 3.14 fire waifu
>HE DRINKS WITH SKELETONS
How could anyone not love this?
I completely agree and if anyone doubts that Hellboy is a great universe they should read this.
Just a image swap error.
Hellboy 2 was pretty bad.
>Character development reset
>Hellboy goes back to being a rebelling teenager that hates Manning despite having a bonding/fatherly moment with Manning teaching him how to properly smoke a sigar in the first moment
>Del Taco running wild with his crazy ideas all over the place
>Suddenly a grass kaiju appears and breaks shit
>ayy I'm preggers with triplets, we Shrek now
Which is a perfect example of how crazy Hellboy is as a series. Something that looked so minor in this small, seemingly unimportant issue ended up being super important.
>ayy I'm preggers with triplets
I think that part pissed me off the most. I know the movie was supposed to be different from the comics, but goddamn, I've always thought of Hellboy and Liz as having an older brother/younger sister relationship.
I wouldn't say that anon but thank you.
Shit I'm sorry that's The Third Wish. Let's read it.
Graugach's grudge against Hellboy leads to The Queen of Blood becoming the queen of Witches, needless to say, nothing good follows.
Yeah Graugach has never done anything good for Hellboy. He shows up in this book too.
This is why I hate the fae. You do everything they ask for something that is simple to them, and they decide to use it to destroy you, leaving you with less than nothing. I should start carrying iron everywhere, just in case.
My Library editions are the pride of my bookcase.
I currently own volumes 1-7 and also 11 (they were used at my local record shop, bought them all). Should i just stick with the core Hellboy series or is it worth it to check out all the other spin offs (bprd, abe, lobster johnson, and plent others i cant remember)?
Also, which of the spin offs is your favorite?
Sleep well dream well anon! Sorry I'm not as alluring as your bed.
Love you too dear.
I can't do it right now, I have to leave on a drive home soon but before the end of the night I will do it for you love!
Thanks for reading and letting me take over this thread. Love you guys!
When he was young and lived on the army base in Arizona or whatever. I think she was just a secretary or something but she was also like his mother figure, and nicknamed him Peanut.
That's how I remember it, anyways
> hate Guy Davis
what the actual fuck?
Which is a damn shame, I have 1 and 2 hardcover but l will have to get soft cover for the rest. Unless they miraculously come back in print. Oh well, either way it would be some amazing comics.
>Something that looked so minor in this small, seemingly unimportant issue ended up being super important.
remember Astaroth's first appearance in the fucking PAMCAKES baby hellboy one shot
I knew that The Midnight Circus was canon.
Didn't realize the sister part, especially since she looked really different in Hellboy in Hell.
Also that she's an ice-cold bitch but hey.
I found this sketch of her in the back of the Right Hand of Doom trade paperback
Mignola has at least had a concept of the character for a loooong time before she appeared
It's not like she came out of nowhere or something
Found this earlier.
Got me thinking, though. How would you classify the other members of the BPRD into the lantern corps?
-Roger is without a doubt blue. And Cloacina would be one of his frequent constructs
-I'm thinking Abe would be green, though I'm open to other interpretations
-Hellboy would get a red ring during that one part of The Wild Hunt
-Liz is a hard one. She certainly skirts red territory sometimes.
-Panya would be orange, I mean she's weird about her hybrid animals and also about people's attention
-Johann... Orange when he was in a human body that one time, red when he was after Daimio, maybe back to green right now.
-Kate just screams green to me.
Anyone have other interpretations?
It's a perfectly normal older brother/younger sister relationship in Mexico
"Hellboy, what happened? You were supposed to check in two days ago!"
"Talking dogs, you don't wanna hear about it."
"It's called a debriefing! Wait, talking-?"
"Cats too. It'll all in the report. I'm gonna grab a beer."
Has there ever been a Hellboy thread without a storytime? Even when someone storytimes a issue that came out the same day/week there is at least one additional storytime within the thread. Not that I'm complaining.
