A few quick google searches indicates that this property has been distributed and advertised viraly across many websites in the last 24 hours, probably by a small company that specializes in online community management. I hate those with a passion, and if every single issue of this comic isn't just as accessible as the first one as soon as they come out, I will do everything I can to run this comic's producers' reputation into the ground. But the comic isn't bad.

This is an indie comic. It's from a d-list publisher, not Image, Dark Horse, or even BOOM. They couldn't afford viral marketing. The creators will be lucky to even make a profit. If it's being spread somewhere that's because people are genuinely interested in it.

>Now that I mention that, Anon must be too young to have ever brought a CD

...fuck, i remember when eight-tracks came out.

>>
>>77741603
That's not what it looks like to me. Why do you think viral marketing is expensive? It's a necessary business expense. You don't start producing certain media if you can't afford it.
>>
I don't like the cutback thing at the start, I wish people would just start the story without the "here's how it'll end up soon"
But it was sort of interesting and raised enough questions for me to at least want to check out the next issue or two.

>>
>>77741664
>necessary business expense
yeah because of all places on the internet to market a comic with a female lead, they decided to shill to /co/

a male dominated community that not only mainly reads capeshit but is probably one of the largest advocates for media piracy, that makes perfect sense.

Do you know how comics work? Lots of non-Big 2 books are literally made at a financial loss for the writer and artist. They do it either because they have a story to tell or out of hope that it'll lead to them becoming a recognized name and able to make a profit, either on work for hire or at a bigger indie publisher like Image. Remember that a book like this will sell 5,000 copies an issue at best. Probably closer to 1,000. If the book sells for $4 the LCS is probably buying it for $3. Most of that goes to Diamond. The publisher gets a cut. And taxes at every step. You really think they can afford even a few hundred dollars for shilling? That's their entire profit.
>>

4chan hasn't been male dominated since 2008. Why do you think so many of us are obsessed with cocks?

He may have meant in general. I knew a girl who looked like 14 throughout high school, and other than her face she still looks like that ten years later. Then again, she might've put up some weight, I haven't seen her ever since.

She came in school wearing miniskirts once, I had a boner practically all day.

That company's synergy between physical and digital release dates seems a bit off. In Tomboy's case, #1 was first released physically last week, and it took a week to have its digital version be released. #2 is out now physically, but the digital version will be definitely released next month.

>Murder is only wrong if you're a bad person!

Edginess aside, that technically isn't wrong, at least from the standpoint that killing isn't automatically-evil. If you're a "good" (morally-strong/kind/generous/etc.) person who kills rapists/murderers/corrupt cops/etc. to protect good/innocent people, you're still a good person trying to do good, even if you're breaking serious laws and doing some dangerous, brutal shit to make it happen. A bit like guns, in that while it serves the purpose of permanently removing opposition/threats, it ultimately comes down to who's doing it and why they're doing it in terms of whether it's morally-right, morally-wrong, or in a grey area.

It's not the "nice" way of solving things by any means, and in quite a few situations you're better off trying diplomacy/calling upon a higher legal authority before resorting to violence, but it is consistently-effective, with the consideration that a dead guy won't be able to hurt anyone ever again. There's a reason that all the way up until the modern era of courts and shitloads of legislature, the preferred solution to dangerous criminals, territorial/property disputes, discovery of fraud and many other things was "kill the fucker", and that reason is because it worked even if it wasn't nice.

The opposite is true as well, as you can be a complete remorseless cunt who ruins lives directly and indirectly through their actions/the actions of those under their employ, but never spills a drop of blood. Some of the worst people alive never have and never will kill another person, but that by no means hinders their capability to ruin everything. You can consign men to fates far worse than death without even raising a weapon.

But hey, it's just a half-cute, half-edgy image of the comic's mascot, so whatever.

No. In this case you're still a bad person for have killed. I can accept that "killing" is natural; we kill ants, lion kill zebras, etc. But what you're saying is "murder". Murder is wrong, doesn't matter the reason you're killing. It only happens that sometimes you don't have the power to avoid killing. Your lack of power shouldn't justify your actions; they're still bad, you just won't be punished, legally spekaing.

I wasn't talking about her specifically though, just in the general sense of the morality of killing people. I can see how it came off like that though, I wasn't clear enough I suppose.

She's definitely pretty fucked-up. The part about her losing her shit when she encounters the cocky murderer cops on the same day her dead friend is found makes sense given the context, but the sudden dive into bloody-eyed psuedo-magical-girl "my sort-of waifu is telling me to murder them all" shit is off-the-wall. Maybe she has some kind of underlying psychosis that got flared up by the emotional stress, causing her to hallucinate wildly and start murdering people like a Floridian resident on PCP?

>No. In this case you're still a bad person for have killed.

There's just one problem with this argument: Who decides that killing another human being, regardless of circumstance, is objectively morally-wrong, especially when morality as a concept is extremely-subjective?

By nature's baseline standards, human-on-human murder doesn't matter any more than killing an animal so long as the species continues existing and breeding, and even then if the entire species goes kaput due to murder nature would press on without a care. It already fails to care about animals killing their own, and some of its evolutionary strategies even actively encourage it, such as lions killing the cubs of other males from prides they've conquered to make way for their own offspring.

Religion can be a strong deciding factor, but that's just a series of moral guidelines wrapped around faith in a higher cosmic entity who judges one's actions. Ultimately, even if you believe in it, you can't prove that this entity/group of entities exists and has sway over life and death. The only application of the morals in life comes from humans who believe in it impressing the ideas on themselves and others. Hell, many religions have even condoned murder without considering it wrong in specific circumstances, from religions like Islam demanding that heretics be purged to Christianity encouraging united violence against evil (and yes it actually does, misconstrued hippy-esque surface-level messages aside, I grew up with it).

Society and law are the most concrete imposition of such morals, but they too are subjective and can be wrong. Law is typically based around a mixture of what is best for the community and what morals are shared by most of the community, the latter typically coming from religion. Focusing on the former, murder is subjectively considered wrong when it damages the community/its chances of survival, such as when it's performed by someone killing good members of the community. However, said murder is often considered rightful instead and not legally-processed when it is done in defense against a murderous criminal, or used by a law enforcement official to stop crime.

Going back to what I said before about how killing criminals, killers and enemy factions was the go-to means of justice/conflict resolution in older times, in such cases murder was considered alright and not illegal under specific circumstances, even by civilians in some places like the Wild West. That's because it benefited the community by removing a threat to its well-being, or was a means of self-defense against such a threat, in either case resulting in safety and prosperity. Killing in a way that harmed the community was still bad and illegal as always, but killing those who harmed others and the community was acceptable under certain circumstances, such as self-defense and when someone was proven to be a threat with sufficient evidence against them/guilty action on their part.

In any case, the morality of murder is decided by either a subjective moral code that's unique to every individual, imposed by a higher ethereal authority that's either fallible or cannot be proven to exist/take part in moral judgement, imposed by society in the interest of its own well-being and security as an institution. It's all subjective all the way around no matter where you look, and in a surprising number of places, you'll find condoning of "murder" as a righteous course of action for certain situations.

>By nature's baseline standards, human-on-human murder doesn't matter any more than killing an animal so long as the species continues existing and breeding
First of, it's not because it's natural that is good. After all, we have natural disasters. Second, killing in nature is normally done in order to eat. If an animal kills for fun, it's bad. Killing someone that is not directly a threat to you is wrong, just as 'killing for fun'.

about the morality of "why killing is wrong", i would say it's some kind of natural law. I could also ask, "why stealing is wrong?" or even, "why raping is wrong?". There is just a natural law called "don't fuck with people that did not fuck with you" that is accepted by everyone. Now the law "you must fuck with people that fucked with you" was created. I get it that at some point it's simply reaction; someone stole, you want to get that back. But when things get complex, when you start killing people that stole from you, that's more artificial.

Yeah this is exceptionally retarded.

I'm also annoyed that Nick was her bf after all. I was hoping that for once we'd actually get to see a close friendship between a guy and a girl. It's so uncommon in media that there are people who genuinely think it's impossible.
>>
>>77740381
The comic is ok but the title is bs. She is the girliest girl possible and not a tomboy.
>>
For the record:

I can't get my mind off this book, I love it so much. Usually I stop thinking about a comic after a couple of hours, but not this one.

I can't decide wether I actually want to see this girl wreck shit with a hockey club, or if it's just better if I try to imagine what she could make take place. The art is also really exceptional.

Oh, and I don't know how much damage you can do with a hockey club, but I don't care.
>>
>>77756107
It is impossible. Plus, teenage passion is qt.
>>
>>77756107

Yes, but their relationship serves two roles: one, it shows she is not a pure virgin, and two, it shows there things she will bald-facedly lie to her parents about and not think twice about it.

I think it's a deliberate choice to illustrate how this book is grittier and edgier than the standard magical girl trope.

I don't enjoy these emotions I am feeling.

Also, I think people are misinterpreting the dream. I think that they never actually had sex--they were still in the pretend-we're-friends phase while secretly lusting after each other, thus the sex being her "favorite dream".

>>
>>77740616
Okay, the comic was alright until this sequence, the way the cops are just loudly and openly talking about how they murdered two people in front of someone just because she's "probably watching cat vids" is absolutely ridiculous. And they're conveniently saying it in front of one of the victim's girlfriend who just happens to have superpowers or something.

Even if it happened because of "faith" or whatever it's absolutely retarded.
