TIME FOR HYPE
>I have seen men of steel fall and dark knights fall
>"I've seen men of steel die and dark knights fall."
>I have seen men of steel fall and dark knights fall
ITS FUCKING HAPPENING
Or Karen Gillan!
They browse /co/ and have for years. A lot of creators and professionals do actually.
But /co/ has always gotten leaks and scoops on Arrowverse productions or how the loudest complaints of the Supergirl and Flash pilots were fixed and S3 of Arrow is being retconned out.
>Hawkgirl is already dating Hawkman
Being Cisco is suffering.
>Dat Firestorm Suit
Fuck Me that looks great.
I can imagine the fucking Talkback Threads now.
Worst of all, it's during the Winter so People won't be burned out by Flash and Arrow.
Shitposting will be at maximum every week. Mainly because we have like 10 fucking main characters to argue about and rank weekly.
I'm scared /co/.
that's some good shit. What a perfect mix of actual tailoring and superhero costume.
It's got all the crazy colors and emblems a comics outfit should have, with just the right mix of added texture complexity (those raised line bits) and it's actually a jacket and pants.
tldr they made a superhero suit that you can actually piss in without just giving up and giving him a trenchcoat or a tshirt that says "FIRESTORM"
POST YFW "I have seen Men of Steel die and Dark Knights fall."
I honestly feel like if it was five or six episodes shorter I would have enjoyed it. there's only so many times I can watch the protagonist catch the bad guy, only to lose him and have to chase him down again.
Post YFW ROCKET RED APPEARS
Commies you say?
did anyone recognize the bad guy? Like was there anything recognizable on him? not Savage, the masked future dude
They only leak things where they need to measure hype. They already know people will watch these characters so there's no need, the leadup crossover episodes will also provide that data.
The madmen, they're actually doing it.
CoIE is imminent, I just know it.
Literally Gotham tier namedropping
So bats and supes dead in this universe? Maybe they were part of the original timeline and all this is a new timeline right now
What if saving the world means bringing batman and superman back
>tfw this will have a JLI feel, the producers said so
Giffen and Demmateis episode when ?
Quick and dirty shot of Rip in front of the Kryptonian council
>Legends of Tomorrow
THE AGE OF CAPESHIT HAS ARRIVED BROTHERS.
PRAISE BE UPON THE COMICS OF YESTERDAY
SHUN THE NONBELIEVERS AND BATHE IN THE STRENGTH IT BRINGS.
HEAR ME NOW /CO/ THE NEW AGE IS HERE
yfw every episode is Vandal plucking a member of the secret society from time and space and sending them after the team
I'm scared. Good things aren't supposed to happen to /co/.
Season 1 will have 16 episodes.
1. Pilot - Part 1
2. Pilot - Part 2
3. Blood Ties
4. White Knights
Confirmed settings so far.
>Atom and Captain Cold will be rivals, competing for the team's leadership on the field and even for Negative-Woman's affections in the 1970's episode.
>Old Green Arrow will appear in one episode.
>Connor Hawke will be introduced in one episode as the new Green Arrow in the dark future, but he won't be Oliver's son
>Damien Darhk will appear
Looks like it could be fun. I hope captain cold tones down how over the top he is about everything. He acts about 5x more goofy/corny than anyone else on the flash, and that's saying something.
Also, has anyone else noticed how absolutely creepy the new firestorm looks with the white contacts? It was really bad in the flash. He looked insane.
>caring about Kupperberg's ocs
literally the shittiest era for the Patrol apart from the dark age of Byrne
Also, was there any confirmation she'll even become Negative Woman? Pretty sure she's just a generic Soviet with no powers here.
Your predecessor assumed rural policing was easy. Ended up having a nervous breakdown, and Sergeant Popwell was an exceptional officer. Truly exceptional. But he had one thing you haven't got.
>Captain Cold will be inspired by these events to assemble the Rogues as an actually cohesive unit obeying a code of conduct when he returns to the Flash rather than just occasional partnerships in which he lets them run amok. Heatwave will learn nothing.
>There'll be stuff about Hawkman and Hawkgirl's other lives other than Khufu and Chay-Ara
>I remember reading something about Ray/Sara romance.
>Looks like it could be fun. I hope captain cold tones down how over the top he is about everything. He acts about 5x more goofy/corny than anyone else on the flash, and that's saying something.
But that's the point. That's his persona.
My dick can't be any harder, why is this so perfect? This is the DC stuff I've been waiting for since I first watch the BTAS in the 1990s.
I had to pause the video to let it sink in for a 20 seconds as I had a conniption.
I think its really just how he's being acted. He's hamming it up, and it is just grating as fuck next to everybody else who, while occasionally being cheesy, recognize there is a limit. He pushes it so far he's more effective as a clown than a serious character.
He stands out just as badly as fish moony did in Gotham.
>Legends will never have Merlyn and Rip Hunter meet up with Merlyn talking about how he always wished he could travel in time
In season 3 Ra's mentioned that he hasn't been challenged in 67 years. Some people ran with the theory that it was an alternate version of Bruce to explain why he couldn't be in the Arrowverse. Its dumb but it would be a neat idea at the very least
>mfw they do a batman beyond situation with old Ollie and Connor in the future
Hope Caity Lotz kept some of her costumes form mad men for the 70s ep
I like this team's roster. There's a whole slew of DC characters and villains besides Superman, Joker, Lex, and Batman.
I like the fact Atom, Hawkman, Hawkwoman, Cold, Heatwave, Firestorm, and Sara are with Rip Hunter on crazy time shenanigans.
I'm more of a Marvel comics fan, but CW's DCverse has me fucking stoked for these shows. Do Arrow and Flash suffer from crap writing and bad acting? Yes, but they're also a ton of fun and actually embrace what cape comics are all about.
DC might make shitty live-action movies, but TV is their strong suit.
I am gonna be REALLY stoked for the 1975 episode. I love the way things looked backed then and the 2 Supernatural episodes in the 70's were fun as fuck so you know this will be too.
>CoIE is imminent, I just know it.
In my head the CW shows, Gotham, Tim Burton Batman, Keanu Reeves Constantine, etc. all take place in the pre-crisis multiverse.
I would kill for a live action crisis though.
Well obviously. Remember that news headline from 2024 about The Flash disappearing in "a Crisis"? That's the Anti-Monitor and despite the fact that Eddie caused a disruption, Barry's fate will always be thwarting the Anti-Monitor by sacrificing himself.
I NEED MAH BLUE AND GOLD DAMN IT
Imagine how awesome it would be to have a movie with the characters and actors from most of the DC shows
Even if for like a few minutes
Or with them fighting in the background
Well obviously. That's why we're getting Wally soon.
The fact that CW Flash's finale ends with Barry passing the torch to Wally will invoke so many feels amongst casuals as well as comic fans. I'm willing to bet it'll break ratings.
It's 1975 in Saint Roch, aka DC New Orleans, aka Hawkman's place. He crashed his own goddamn birthday party there once. Shit's gonna be bananas.
One of the villains of the week in Arrow was meant to be an Onomathopoeia expy already, and this looks nothing like his comic costume anyway. Unless they're doing that sort of dumb plotline where he was disguised as a vigilante.
They're probably instantly grow. They don't actually make them fly, but allow to "steer". Nth Metal is what allows Hawkman/Hawkwoman to fly since it's in their costumes. They also have enhanced strength. They're somewhere above Captain America.
Maybe it'll be a Rogue War! Where Cold will have his Rogues team and the big bad will have a team of his own Rogues hellbent on killing the Flash, and they all come to blows throughout the season.
>most of the best side characters from Arrow and Flash futzing around time together
>and it looks great
Because we finally have the technology and social atmosphere to allow greatness like this. The superhero boom of the 2000's and advances in CGI makes it possible for Arrow/Flash to have good effects on a TV budget.
The problem is that Wally is horrible in the comics right now and some people are blaming that on him being black rather than him being written by a hack. So for some reason they're assuming that's the one we'll get on the show, despite different people being involved including one of the writer's of Wally's great run.
A disappointing amount of Hawk in that trailer
The glasses exist, but Cold hasn't stole them yet.
>3 years ago arrow is a pretty good if too heavily nolanized show about a vigilante fighting criminals in the 1 percent
>now the flash is fighting a living demon from alternate reality, green arrow and friends are throwing down with a smug bastard with mystical magneto powers, and rip hunter is teaming up with the atom, firestorm, the white canary, captain cold, heatwave, hawkwoman, hawkman to take down vandal savage by traveling through time
This feels like one of those "My dad works at the CW" things. What a time to be alive.
The problem is that Wally is the most iconic Flash of all time. And he gave Barry the stepping zone of his pedigree when Barry came back. Name a single Barry Allen story since 2009 that's better than Waid thru Johns.
Why not make Barry Allen black? He's the one on the whitesquad JLA features this hip robot teenager we found in the parking lot, yo. But no keep a literal aryan around to educate nuWally, a troubled youth who HAPPENS to be black. Not a sterotypical black troubled youth.
but will Eobard appear anons?
he said he knew rip hunter in the s1 finale, so im hoping we get an origin-esque episode for him that could explain his hatred for flash.
Ralph was name-dropped by Wellsobard in season one.
Metamorpho had his name used on a truck in Arrow,I think. They've also already killed Simon Stagg and gave no hint or anything about Rex. Metamorpho and Metal Men are also too expensive. Look at how little Firestorm has been in the series and remember that they said this series was specifically written with Firestorm in mind.
Oh god yes, bring in as much of the JSA as they can get away with.
There was a REALLY good arc in Johns' JSA where Rip Hunter recruits some of the legacy characters of the team to go back to the 50's to talk their predecessors out of retiring permanently, when Per Degaton starts fucking around with the past.
Why is everyone so excited about Valentina Vostok? She doesn't gurantee the Patrol, let alone Silver Age or Morrison/Pollack Patrol (so, the only versions anyone cares about), she's a literally who even as far as this team goes and the only way to assume she's meaningful would be just reading how the roster changed on some wiki.
>yfw we get both Shining Knight and Exoristos
>they wind up back in early Medieval period when Vandal was still hanging with the Demon Knights
>Rip's team has to fight them
Oh god if only.
Because most of /co/ only knows DP from TT cartoon and reading the list of members on the wiki.
Valentina was a shit character.
>ooooh the negative spirit is in me
>but I suffer none of the drawbacks Larry did
>and also I'm a generic Russian
It's actually the same budget as flash and arrow. They just blew 90% of the budget on the first couple of episodes so they could use it in the trailer.
Expect them to resort to cardboard and glitter for the FX by the end.
We probably won't get any of the Marvel Family will we?
Such a shame, would love to see Teth-Adam when they go to ancient Egypt.
>holy shit actual firestorm costume!
>its just yet another pair of leather pants and shirt
Im so fucking tired of this. Who the hell is designing this stuff and why are they allowed to make the same shit over and over
This trailer alone is better than 2/4 seasons of Arrow
i'm hoping that batman superman and wonder woman will show up as their golden age forms
>legends go to ww2
>golden age batman superman and wonder woman are in their original costumes fighting nazis, led by vandal like in that jlas episode
>at the end of the episode vandal launches a nuke at america
>superman and wonder woman die stopping it
>batman returns to gotham
>the wayne enterprises we see in the flash newspaper is run by
an elderly damian
the only problem is that the new gal gadot wonder woman movie is set in ww1
it looks like they're going to take cues from flash in tone and action, but cut out a lot of the standard drama filler that suffocates it.
and with a shorter season, i think it'll easily be even better than flash
>like daredevils and AoS
I know it's bait but I'm crying with laughter
>All of Marvel's shows have amazing costumes like daredevils and what's used in AoS.
daredevil's is cool but we literally see it for ten minutes in the final episode.
>anything from it being good
please go marveldrone
Plainclothes and at the very last episode a... Leather everything.
>what's used in AoS.
>the only problem is that the new gal gadot wonder woman movie is set in ww1
No problem at all
>I remember reading something about Ray/Sara romance.
Getting dumped by Felicity is the best thing that has ever happen to Ray, he gets with best girl.
I'll just cry about my Nyssa/Sara though.
Alright /co/, we haven't addressed the elephant in the room yet
>yfw "Hypertime" gets namedropped by Rip
Holy fuck I'm hyped as fuck, it looks about as campy as fucking flash
>The Firestorm NO SHIT costume
Holy shit, this is lit.
I don't understand how people can enjoy these DC shows and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Network television is absolute fucking trash it really blows my mind that people enjoy this shit.
Fun doesn't mean anything, it's a filler word used when people can't think of any concrete reasons it's actually good.
It's like describing food as tasty, it doesn't say a single thing about why it's good.
Yes people tend to spend time on interests and entertainment that they find fun. Then there's you, who apparently has inordinate amounts of time to spend trying to make people as miserable as you. You'd should go invest time in whatever it is you like instead of trying to shit in our cereal like a wannabe edgy 14 year old.
Normal people do not provide detailed analysis when casually talking about things they like. It's not meant to be some kind of analytic or academic discussion. You need to calm down and not take things so seriously.
>rip and eobard meet during the destruction in london as teenagers (eobard was born in 2151, destruction happens in 2166)
>become time travelers together and work to save the world
>during all this, eobard discovers the flash will murder him via neck snapping and that he is destined to become the reverse flash
>experiments on himself to gain speed powers and goes back in time to avert his fate
>begins his rivalry with the flash and things occur as he told barry in s1's finale
>Matt Smith as Booster
>David Tennant as Ted Kord
Anyone watching Gotham? This episode gives me the same feeling when i watch flash and arrow
>GOAT fighting Alfred
>GOAT Gordon and Harvey hanging out
>Theo beating the living shit out of gordon
I'll be honest, I'm most excited for more Heatwave. That actor has way too much fucking fun with this character and I can't wait for more lines like "WHY DO THEY CALL YOU THE HEAT? I'M THE HEAT AHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHAHAHAH"
Honestly that trailer made the show look as bad as I assume it will be but that doesn't change how much I'm looking forward to watching it anyways. It looks like if Fringe was about time traveling super heroes.
It's like if Quantum leap and The Flash had a son with a big ass budget.
Imagine if you traveled back in time to when you were watching Arrow season 1 as it was airing, showed them this trailer, and said this is what would result from the shitty green batman show
How would you have reacted?
Oh god I would feel so validated. I literally only watched the first season because of the "so bad it's good" factor. This would have made it all worth it while at the same time making all of the episodes between then and now feel like slow dogshit that needs to get to the action already.
>Shitty green batman show
So everyone has to be happy just so there not batman ripoffs?
Supergirl's gotta join in this insanity at some point. CBS owns half the fucking CW! Ratings bonanza!
That and a live action Vixen cameo.
Arrowverse keeps getting comfier. DC hasn't had this much fun with their stuff since BATB went off the air.
>Confirmed settings so far.
80's too maybe?
>All DC characters.
>CBS owns half the CW along with Warner.
It can happen any time they want. CBS looks like they want Supergirl to stand on it's own before branching out. But they can do it whenever they want.
There are negatives and positives. They can't use A-listers, so they have to develop little known characters. Same situation Marvel was at the start of the MCU. There could have been a Suicide Squad series instead of this, but they changed.
Plus, now it looks like the TV guys are now fully embracing the fact that the TV and movie sides are separate universes and just doing whatever crazy shit they want. I mean, come on. Grodd, King Shark, time travel, different universes, etc.
Agents got so much better later on dude.
Most of season 1 had me wanting to die and I even just flat out stopped watching it. My friend told me once they synched up with Winter Soldier the quality improve dramatically and I went back and suffered through and it did indeed start to ramp up. Stopped their stupid mission of the week shit and got a lot more fun
>Routh pulling off a Superman face blur
he's so perfect :3
I've recently started going through it
About halfway through the first season and really liking it. Although while many characters feel really great, some I just hate like Barbara and fish.
Do they improve in the second season?
