It combines domination over someone with corruption. It's literally the two most common fetish tropes. Who doesn't like the idea of having someone do everything you want them to do? It's also far sexier when that person would never do it otherwise, so it feels more fucked up. Innocent people especially. I always got aroused as a kid when I saw a good female character become evil. I just consider hypnosis a continuation of the seduction trope, but with the dominant role more obvious. Since the show is winding down, I guess now's a good time to purge suppressed thoughts and make a confession.

I have a crush on Stan. A legitimate, uncomfortable crush. Probably not a big deal for most here, but this is atypical for me. I haven't crushed on a cartoon character in years, not since I was in college. I'm well into adulthood (not quite middle aged, but getting there), and here I am, thinking about a two dimensional image in this way. Even worse, I'm not usually drawn to characters (or real people) who can tend to be jerks or are prone to manipulating others. Yet I still find myself wondering how I'd...interact with Mr. Mystery. I have spoken about this to no one, and while I don't quite feel shame it does make me wonder about my state of mind.

Huh. I only got into Gravity Falls a few months ago. I saw some season 1 episodes years ago and I that it was pretty crappy. Then recently I saw a season 2 marathon and I found the show very endearing, with the exception of maybe the bland-as-fuck facial animations. It's been quite the ride catching up on the series.

I could see Dipper and company regrouping in the Shack after they free Mabel. The only problem is Bill would expect them to go there.

But I doubt they would have introduced the concept so late in the story without planning any payoff for it. If nothing else, maybe it'll serve to protect Stan's copy of Journal 3 until it's needed.
