Not entirely. It's mostly right up until the last panel, which is wrong and written to bait you. Fury Jr. never became director, and still isn't director (Daisy Johnson was director at the time of this story and continued to be director until Mariah Hill regained the role in Spencer's Secret Avengers, and continues to be director). Fury Jr. didn't "replace" Fury Sr. Fury Sr. kept appearing in comic up to Original Sin, and kept getting used for flashbacks after that, and either way, Fury Sr. hadn't been involved in SHIELD for 6-7 years by that point and hadn't been a name grunt in SHIELD since... ever, so the role that Jr. was being used for wasn't one that Sr. had been filling in the first place.

But yeah, other than those two discrepancies, it's canon.
