is it just me or did the art drop in quality after the first panel? the last two panels look weird to me.
>>
Waiting for the Patreon alt-text.

Also
>tfw the schedule has slipped again
Morbi should just leave it as "Updates twice a week, maybe.".
>>

Are you seriously just noticing now? That happens in almost every strip.

You gon' PAY for that flower bed. 40 nibbles, please.

It's confirmed boys, they were exposed.
>>
>>77641643
morbi's way of taking things out of focus is adding in shape and colour but no detail or lines

it gets really noticeable when there's panels revolving around big scenery and not closeups of characters
>>
>>77641790
That's not uncommon, really. Background elements being left lineless or low-detail is done to draw attention to the important parts of a panel.
Morbi's just not very good at it.
>>
>>77641765
And the ponies in MLP:FiM reproduce sexually, your point?
>>
What are the chances of Poppy attacking Chicadino during the dinner?
>>
>>77641874
None. Morbi said that there are no fights in this chapter.
>>
>>77641864

We were discussing this last week.

One of the best things about this comic are the faces.
>>

would you really be able to call that a fight
it's more of a beatdown
>>
naked phase Lilly when?
>>
>>77641911
Two or three posts aking if we were seeing Mary's teats don't seem like a big deal to me.

If you were asking if the animals were anatomically correct then you're a massive retard for doubting after Morbi had confirmed it several times before.
>>
>>77641915
>perfect
Mary's mouth cavity doesn't have any detail at all.
>>
>>77641874
none. And even if she did it would do more damage to her rep than anything.
>>
>>77642020

He tagged that sheeps and goat are not though, what's your problem?
>>
>>77641559
What does chickendino even mean by "unfinished business"? He didn't seem to care about Valente's physical state, and they settled down the whole payment thing.

Unless he wants to pull a bait-and-switch and make it look like they have some serious shit with her only to reveal that he is talking about the money she owes to him for trampling his flowers.
>>
>>77641909
>>77642088
It wouldn't have to be a straightforward attack. Poppy could do something petty like tipping his perch over with her tail from beneath the table.
>>
>>77642133
Guess I'm just a bit grumpy today and seeing people make a big deal out of something "new" is one of my pet peeves.

>>
>>77642046
That's part of what makes her face work so well for that panel, honestly.
Sometimes omitting detail makes something stand out better.
>>
>>77642495
But not in a good way, it sticks out like sore thumb when everything else on that face has a fair amount of detail. If it was one of those background/chibi faces it would be another story.
>>
Considering there was a debate about this a few threads ago, thoughts?

I honestly think it's Morbi being lazy and he doesn't want to draw guns lol.
>>
>>77641559

Oh my, it's that Lion Monk from the dragon attack

And there are 2 empty spots next to Darling's throne.

And WHOOOOOO could possibly sit on the second perche?

>gun control laws
>ever stopping any serious criminal organization
>>
>>77642595
When you have a choice between throwing a fireball at someone and going through a bunch of bullshit just to obtain a single firearm, what do you think most criminals would rather do?
>>
>>77642668
The one that's better for intimidation? It's hard to track guns if you only ever have to threaten to use them.
>>
>>77642668
Considering not everyone has the magical aptitude to throw a fireball, a firearm is a good equalizer.
>>
>>77642693
probably a knife because anybody who has their hands on a firearm probably wouldn't be committing something comparatively minor like holding somebody up in the streets
>>
>>77642569
I think it's just because he likes big melees more than shooting scenes.

On the note of worldbuilding though, I'm trying to find a good comparison for their obscene tech level. They're obviously capable of type 2 civilization levels if they weren't trapped in a giant bubble with only a planet, moon, and probably a few asteroids for resources. ...How was the tech in warhammer 40k before the AI's revolted and warp shenanigans fucked up FTL? Might be a good benchmark to compare.
>>
>>77642758
Comparing anything to 40k is doomed to fail, they're always hilariously overpowered.
>>
>>77642595
>Saying that in a magical bullshit world in which gun-free zone stickers could literally be given the power to disable guns.
Plus there's no indication that the laws actually work or reduce crime in anyway, just that they are there
>>
>>77642780
There's a lot of shit that can take 40k, man.
Star Wars is well above 40k, they even had (rip jedi) an order basically designed and dedicated to fighting warp influence.
>>
>>77642848
Star Wars? Really? Explain, cause I find that hard to believe. Then again I don't know any Extended Universe shit, and all that is pointless anyways now that Didney owns it.
>>
>>77642595
>not factoring in actual and honest to god magic-ass sensors

>>77642758
Well they had sentient A.I's, planets made into factories etc etc. So pretty fucking advanced.
And that's just the Imperium of man.
>>
>>77642888
Imagine any tech from the Imperium of Man (aside from their genetic manipulation and power armor, that's pretty much peerless outside of Metroid)
Star Wars has a variation on that, except it doesn't explode in your face on a roll of two or less and is more portable
>power weapons/vibroblades
they actually do have a lightsaber plasma sword equivalent but it's really bulky and explodes sometimes
They actually don't use laser weapons, having converted almost completely over to portable plasma guns
hyperdrive instead of warp drive
actual functional shields that are common

>>77642595
Chinese Triads very rarely use firearms. Chona has VERY strict gun laws.

The reason you always see them with butcher knives and kukri in movies is because that's what their enforcers really use.

Only the bodyguards of higher ups tend to carry them exclusively. Guns that are used are discarded quickly.

Remember, Chinese police can frisk you if they feel like it, and being found with a gun carries the same sentence in the US as attempted murder and assault (shooting a guy, but not killing him).
>>
>>77642888
Ships can use hyperdrive safely and more importantly reliably.
40k ships can vanish while attempting to do the same, and can appear anywhere near and years before or after they intended to arrive.

Three Star Destroyers can obliterate a planet. Twenty TIE Punishers can do the same. The tech that prevents that doesn't exist in the Imperium. Star Wars shields reduce the Imperium's painfully bad dogfighting potential to mass kamikaze tactics at best.

The Force is stronger than the pull of the Chaos Gods.

>>
>>77642840

Every meassure is met with a counter meassure.

As a weapons afficionado i water at the mouth thinking of all the crazy shit i could do with magic. Shit, you dont need powder, you could make a blow gun that fires undetectably thin needles coated in different kinds of mind control substances, and make the things three stage sub-then-supersonic and guided.

You could make a slingshot that throws magic balls that suck the air out of a 20m radius, disables electrical impulses and chemical reactions.

You could make a fucking frictionless projectile. It'd accelerate forever until it exited the universe.

And the big deal is that you could mass produce these, and the guns themselves wouldn't need to be magic or detectable, it's like the strip of the wizard making 30,000 shotguns. There's an endless posibility for loopholes and exploits.

>>
>>77643073
Another thing to point out is that the governments of the Star War's universe don't have to completely max out its technology and industrial capabilities in order to do these things, unlike 40k in which most everyone lives in squalor and planets are turned into toxic industrial parks in order to sustain the Imperium.
>>
>>77643107
Space Marines are fucking brutal, desu, I doubt the E-11 and the other portable blasters carried by the foot soldiers of Star Wars can do all that much against them outside of massed fire, but Star Wars has the edge in almost all other aspects.
>>77643461
Also a good point. The Imperium is an engine designed only for War by this point, but it's also kind of exhausting itself.
>>
>>77643527
Yeah SM are stupidly OP but 40kfags needs to stop using that as their argument "m-muh spess muhreens"

>I cheated with sheep/goats and moved the udder operation up north though
Well that does make sense if they are bipedal. Udders near your legs are kinda hard to work with like that. Which is why no bipeal animal has teets that far south.
>>
>>77643589
My favorite thing about Metroid is how Samus is better than or equivalent to the Space Marines in every way aside from sheer bulk and numbers. It's really funny seeing them react to that.
>>77643738

ok now hold up for a second.
40k tech is absolute garbage yes; their ships would get shredded by just the reliability of SW tech (even when it's stupidly unreliable, it's still better than 40k).

But saying the force is stronger than the chaos gods is just dumb. They're an omnipresent malicious force that, while it can be fought and delayed, can never be truly stopped. Corruption is only countered by obliteration, and cannot be reversed.
and chaos can take hold anywhere any sentient being feels a particularly strong emotion.

>>
>>77644672
Yo Morbi, I got a question - there was a debate a few threads ago about firearms, and with your recent Tumblr answer about magical firearms - how prevalent are firearms in your average Floran military? People were divided on whether or not firearms would be necessary or even viable for the military with magic users abound.

>>77644805
They're common, and are still part of standard loadouts for most infantry units, but they're nowhere near as dominating as they are in real life. Personal forcefield generation tech is the great equalizer as far as weaponry goes, so most military conflicts inevitably end up settled either in very close combat, or through specialized magical means. Firearms work best for surprise attacks, before fields can go up.
>>
>>77642595
It's funny how americans think criminals can just magically create guns out of thin air.

it's shit for making animated anything but it's got a lot of basic tools that actually make sense to use (unlike GIMP)

>>77645276
Is accelerating a mundane object with magic a thing on flora? And if so, does Newtons third law of motion still apply?
Basically, could you make a viable hypervelocity weapon?

Or is it all moot because you can just laser-magic things and disregard ballistic curves and travel time?
>>
>>77645318
GIMP is great if you learn you to use it but for some reason it lacks a bunch of "automatic" tools so everything takes a step or two further than it should. The interface, for starters, is pretty bad out of the box.

I see it as a good alternative to MS Paint (big wow) but still a long way behind Photoshop and even Krita.
>>
>>77645276
Morbi, do magical augmentations exist? Like, prosthetic limbs and whatnot? Could there be a Floran equivalent of like Adam Jensen or Genos?

Or use MyPaint or Krita.

Is MyPaint still developed though? I heard somewhere it was getting discontinued and haven't bothered to check...

How is the resource situation of Flora? Is it mostly mined from Flora, Fauna, other minor objects in space, the star itself, or brought into existence by pure energy/magic?

Exactly what people used to say about Paranatural, then whiners started complaining that Zack was relying too much on wacky face gags on every page. I do wonder, when will /co turn on Poppy like it eventually turns on everything else it likes?

>>77647583
The crocodile with a tank face. You can see him in mentioned in a news report in chapter 2 and in concept artwork at Morbi's tumblr.
>>
>>77647583
As far as i can remember he is the leader of some rebellion/guerrilla thing. He is a huge-ass crocodile with metal armor and limbs. Morbi posted one picture of him in his art blog, and he is mentioned on the news once.

I'm pretty sure he was the one who ruined freddy's arm too.

>>77645289
You seriously think criminals buy weapons by legal means?
>>
>>77649103
Thing is, if you actually do take away people's guns, that makes it a hell of a lot harder to acquire them.

The reason gun control laws are so pitifully ineffective in 'Murika is because we just have so many fucking guns it doesn't matter what laws you pass, people can get them easily.
>>
>>77649103
In the US, yes.
In places that aren't all the way bad on the gun front, no.
Which means that the hassle they have to go through to get a gun is big enough that they just get a knife 98% of the time. Because most criminals are just some random moron whom's life is fucked in some aspect rather than a member of some organized and well funded gang.
>>
>>77649298

But they dont. All store sells require background checks, and private sales are restricted in most states. Criminals use weapons that are stolen or have been in circulation for a long time.

Read the law instead of spouting fear mongering.
