Daredevil > Jessica Jones > Ant-Man > A Weekend at Ultron's.

What does everyone else think?
>>
And here I thought /co/ would be jumping all over Jessica Jones like they did Daredevil.
>>
>>77603550
>jumping
Everyone loved Daredevil. It legitimately the best comic book related show in history. I love the flash, but DD is a masterpiece. Haven't see JJ yet, but I hear it's really good. Really hope like cage isn't annoying.
>>
>>77603442
perfect
>>
>>77603442
Is it any good or is it just Marvel's BLACKED?
>>
>>77603550
we've been having back to back threads

or maybe, just maybe, one person doesn't represent an entity and people liked Daredevil because it was good.

It is shit

>people giving a shit about jessica jones

Why? Litterally where are these people coming from?

That was the first season of this.
>>
Honestly I'm enjoying it a lot more than daredevil. I think it's much better acted and has a more engaging storyline. Much more tense than Daredevil.
>>
>>77606752
I'm not as quick as the rest of /co/ to jump to "It's shit," and admittedly I'm only at episode 5, but so far, I'm actually kinda baffled at just how bad it is and having a hard time motivating myself to finish it. Hope it picks up soon.

I've owned every trade for Alias for years.

I suppose I won't deny that.
Im also more of a DCfag but I genuinely love Jessica Jones's character
>>

does she take it in the ass like in the comics?

Nope. It's great but is far from HBO's Spawn.
>>
I'm gonna watch it and probably not like it but David Tennant is really good at playing villains and he doesn't play enough of them.
>>
>>77607014

She rolls over with her stomach flat on the bed and he does her from behind.

So yeah?

>>77607055
What other villains has he played?

How is it that Daredevil looks more cinematic than any movie in the MCU? It's fucking embarrassing how much better it is than the shitty movies Disney produces.

Barty Crouch Jr in Goblet of Fire.

Doesn't necessarily constitute anal.
>>
>>77607080

Of course not.
But its not like we're going to see outright penetration are we?
>>
>>77606830
Thats the whole point she had no fans. If this show didn't have a marvel logo. No one would give two shits about it.
>>
>>77607307
Alias was always pretty well regarded among people who actually read comics, anon. Normies are just playing catch-up.
>>
Does the show suffer from Bendispeak?
>>
>>77609090
nah. The closest it gets is several instances where someone wants to explain something but the other is pissed off and doesn't want to talk to them
>>
>>77609090
No, they used actual writers for the script.
>>
>>77606781
Ah Human Target with biased as fuck Guerrero. Damn I miss it. They so fucked up that second season stuffing it full of women characters just to expand their demographics.
>>
>>77607107

Doctor Who.
>>
>>77609117
>>77609254
Going to be way better than Aliasâ„¢, then!

I think it's fine so far (on episode 5 now), but it feels like it can't quite decide on a tone. Like it flips between a really tense and interesting narrative with Kilgrave's powers being as insane as they are to combat to this noir-ish detective story and then suddenly we're dealing with the lesbian divorce drama? Not to mention the VERY weird Patsy Walker running gag. I'm also not a huge fan of the narration. That said, it's perfectly enjoyable, but not really the same as Daredevil.
>>
So is this worth watching?

Also, you can tell David Tennant is enjoying the role immensely and that goes a long way for the character. They also play with the fact that his mind control is uniquely insidious. To the affected, even the wildest and craziest things they are compelled to do feel perfectly natural, like Kilgrave offhandedly telling a man to splash a cup of hot coffee in his own face.
>>
>>77609493
I watched it only for david tennant. Fight scenes were boring, though.
>>
>>77609528

Guess I'll be skiping it then. Thanks f.am
>>
>>77609515
it would be shit. unless some billionaire funds the whole thing themself
>>
I'm on episode eight and I've got to agree. It feels tonally inconsistent and the almost complete focus on Kilgrave with few minor antagonists has made it feel like a slog so far.

Also the fight scenes are garbage. I get that Jessica isn't supposed to be a trained fighter so Daredevil style choreography wouldn't fit, but there's very little weight or sense of power in them either.
>>
>>77609587
>I get that Jessica isn't supposed to be a trained fighter so Daredevil style choreography wouldn't fit, but there's very little weight or sense of power in them either.
The problem is the way they decide to portray her fight scenes is that she's on average strong enough to utterly overpower her opponents with minimal effort, thus her movements are clumsy and haphazard in comparison to how they throw someone across the room. There's no weight or meat to her hits like there would be if she was indeed doing some sort of street-fighting/brawling choreography. It makes me wonder who directed the fight scenes and what they were thinking.
>>
>>77609587
I think the fights with Cage in them shine. I suppose it's easier to make it seem like a hulking tower of muscle can throw people around.

I found it boring, desu. I liked DareDevil. With DD, despite the slow pace, I still felt like I wanted to see it. With this, it feels like I'm watching a soap opera. The only redeeming quality is the villain, who actually does something. I don't care about the love sub-plot of a side character, or a fucking support group, or a random junkie who does fucking nothing.

I wanted to like this, but I'm just not feeling it.
>>
>>77606703
I'm 10 eps in and I like it better than DD. Admittedly the first few eps were rough, but it evened out and is pretty awesome. Tennant kills it.
>>
>>77606703
I gave it a try and it stinks. But of course you'll get sh- um, people telling you otherwise.

This phase 2 was really fucking great despise all the shit.

I absolutely love Krysten Ritter and know nothing of Jessica Jones. Is she too old for the role? Was she good? I'm too anxious to watch her fail unless someone reassures me she doesn't embarrass herself...
>>
I'm almost through JJ and the characters just aren't grabbing me. Still not sure what Trinity is doing in this, JJ's whole Ahab shtick feels more cartoony with every episode... and thats all the characters I can remember. Luke Cage and Killgrave are the best parts of this.

Really? I thought the pilot was fantastic. It admittedly drops off for a few episodes, after that, but the hype from the pilot kept me going until it started to pick up.
