It's good despite this being Gleason's first time writing.
You can tell he's inexperienced sometimes but the writing is still solid and he's got a good handle on Damian.
His art is great as always and Nobody and Goliath are neato
Here are your fucking commas and also take a chill pill
What issue/trade would be good to start at prior to this? It has references to stuff in Tomasi's run (bat at the bottom of the cave, etc.). I'm guessing the first issue after he's resurrected and has temporary superpowers?
You can start with Robin: Son of a Bitch #1, the superpower arc was just a self-contained one-off thing with no influence on this story at all.
You could read Tomasi's B&R run from #1-18 for Damian's characterization if you want. The Born to Kill arc in particular is pretty good.
the art is fantastic, though the writing is just okay. gleason isn't a terrible example of artist turned writer though and it's amazing he's able to juggle both duties while still meeting his deadlines.
Also gives context to who Nobody I is, so you have context why Nobody II wants revenge.
Currently going through B+R since reading Born to Kill storytime last month.
B&R is the most melodramatic shit ever.
