If you got 'em, post 'em.
This reaction image has been used in mostly EH threads. Man, what appropriate initials.
That Mary wouldn't be so bad if she wasn't hit in the face with a shovel but this being EH that's probably a lack of skill rather than a design choice.
>Implying I should give a crap about the super-pets.
Crotch emphasis is more obscene when there is something actually there. For men, undies on the outside is verbotten for the most part. Think speedo's on men. In short, there is not much difference between them and women's swimwear, but it is still generally less acceptable.
That Sue is so cute but why is she wearing a Labcoat?
Square Enix Spider-Man
But Superman's outfit was based on old-time strongmen, who were trying to stay modest to an extent while showing off their physical prowess. Many of them wore trunks on the outside to keep things from shifting around and to camouflage the bulge. Without the trunks, your eyes go straight to the package.
Yeah, Samurablack has a thing for healthy dimensions on his ladies.
god damn this shit is delicious. why do we get the abomination that is now known as squirrel girl when artists like this exist?
I've always thought superman should look to be in his mid/late thirties minimum, and needed more facial hair. So naturally this redesign appeals to me.
What the fuck did they actually do this to her? She doesn't look "curvy", or like any "body-positive" adult, she just has the proportions of a toddler now. Adults have ankles. I don't understand.
>inb4 why did they make so-and-so flat
thats just Anka man
What if we made them ourselves? Is that fine?
Colors on this used to be a bit duller but an Anon posted a more color saturated take and fuck me if it didn't look better.
I wanted something that looked different compared to the classic red and blues, but had enough elements of the original to make you think "Yeah, that's Spidey".
I wanted a design that had bits of both the Ben Spidey Suit and the v2 Superior Suit sans the uneven webbing and black lenses, and I think I got a decent compromise between the two designs, along with a good color palette.
That is some of the worst shit I've ever seen.
I mean, they were really really good. But also some of their designs just look silly if you try to straddle the line between iconic and fitting in with the modern house styles. Look at Galactus - it was great for the art and narrative styles then. Grandiose, alien, almost robotic. But he doesn't fit in so well now that people seem to value sleek and "realistic". Others are just really simple, so it's easy to go back to them and redesigns tend to be overdesigns. Spider-Man, the F4, etc. have very simple designs that have become embedded in comics culture and don't really need to be changed all that much.
I don't really mind the art shift. I preferred the original, but the new one isn't really bad.
But did it seem to anyone else that they changed her characterization? In the original, she seemed more lethargic to me and not nearly so childishly cheerful.
No, they had their own stinkers. Several of the New Gods are lackluster and the Creeper only looks good from a design theory perspective.
I'd say it requires not only a deft hand at design but also attention to intent on the part of the original creator. Take Orion for an example. Boring, simplistic design that looks too generically superheroic for an atomic age space god. Compare that to Cliff Chiang's redesign, all he did was turn it into a jacket and pants, tweak the colors, and add a bit of detailing and suddenly Orion looks like he'd be home in any Raygun Gothic/space opera story.
Shit I didn't look at that long enough to notice that.
The fuck are you talking about anon.
I like this Thor much less. Though it connects with the Magic ≈ Technology idea to me.
I don't like that though I want Magic to exist as a force that is separate from super science
I think without the Cape Thor loses his identity as Marvels Thor and just becomes literally the Norse God.
Thanks anon. I wish I knew what it was from.
I'm posting this because Samus's ass was my first boner.
I like this Thor but not his weird tusk-hammer.
Mjolnir's iconography is in being a clumsy brick on a stick.
Someone posted a Billy Dee Williams as Two Face
Looks like Scott has wreathed his hand in fire with pyrokinesis because he possess 1/5 of the Phoenix Force.
Those Brainiac robots me of Cherno Alpha in Pacific Rim.
>Erica "Down Syndrome" Henderson drawing Captain Marvel
>Mary Marvel is now brown for some reason and has awful hair
Fuck. No. Stay away, you talentless cunt. Keep shitting up Squirrel Girl all you want but leave the Marvels alone.
DC knows better than to actually hire her for anything, right? ...right!?
