The latest episode was lukewarm desu.
Role reversal of the PC frat was a great move, but expected.

For me it felt like mostly exposition, with some great interactions of the characters far between.

I miss when Cartman was just a retarded fat kid who liked to say offensive things to his friends.

Him being the protagonist, Kyle's arch-nemesis, and an unstoppable evil force got way more stale than Kenny dying every week. At least Kenny dying didn't take up much of the episode and had you guessing "oh how's it gonna happen this time?"
Cartman being the focal point is completely exhausted, that role should be given back to Stan already.

I liked the show better when the characters focused on were two normal kids, a running gag, and a retarded, conniving fat kid interacting with their insane town than two obnoxious idiots and a melvin interacting with their crazy town. I think it's the main reason I like this new season so much. We take the focus off these tired characters and instead tell the stories from the older townsfolk who are still relatively normal and are adapting to these fast and frequent changes to their town.
