Hell, I'm not bitching, the overall art in Endtown is great, it's just the digital processing that could be more fluid.

The way I see it, everyone has to start somewhere, and provided Aaron's passionate, he'll improve the more he uses it. While I definitely see your point in that it's not particularly aesthetically pleasing, at the same time it feels appropriate in that instance, similar to an induced vertigo which makes the scene all the more disturbing.

That said, it also feels like graphic effects from the 90s, so maybe it's nostalgia talking.

If you wanted to 'fix' it, you'd probably start by blending it to remove the ring effect, then making sure the shadows contoured to the surfaces, but that can be very frustrating to do starting out.
