Don't screw up the OP.
First for this cutie pie.
nth for selfie
I suspect this is the moment where the "hero" has a breakdown, and someone has to be the voice of hope to motivate him
>if i bla bla, none of this would happen. This is all my fault
>duuuude, don't say like that. Remember that you bla bla bla
>you're right! I'm gonna bla bla bla. Thanks!
Some shit like that
>>77510304
That one's pretty creative, at least.

Nth for /gfg/'s Official Favorite Ship.

I'd love it if the dialogue was really, "Blah blah blah, don't give up, blah blah blah fight the good fight blah blah."
>>77510472
Don't we at least get to vote on it?
>>77510372
Nah I think Wendy will learn of and question his decision to stay in town without Mabel and he'll get frustrated trying to explain it, possibly using the actual fantasy word surrounding them and Wendy's own desire to leave as support.
>>77510372
That's not them. Their clothes are post-apocalyptic
>>77510215
To Be Honest, This is more intimidating than his Doritos meme look
>le selfie xD
Dropped.
>>77510472
huh, that Dipper looks like Hiccup for some reason...Dipper should loose a foot
>>77510712
This. It's Mabel's imaginary Wendy and DIpper. Look at Wendy's lust filled gaze. Theyre going to fuck right there in that garden of Eden.
Mabel is best sister.
Why does Alex get so upset when people say Bill looks like a Dorito?
gotta love JUMBO Gompers
>>77510790
because it undermines the integrity of the character

Oh, okay! Sounds fair enough to me.
>>77510780
Mabel's imaginary version would be dipper hook up with__candy___
>>77510790
Because he wanted him to be Green, like the All Seeing Eye of Providence on the Dollar BILL. That's part of where he got his name from. The other being the Beale Cipher. The artist who painted Bill said a he looked like a leaf when he was green and that Bill should be yellow like the actual pyramids. Alex thought the artist was right. However, when they made him yellow nobody mentioned he looked like a Dorito now. So everytime someone tells Alex that Bill looks like a dorito he has instant regret.
>>77510658
>Wendy will learn of and question his decision to stay in town without Mabel
Wendy already knows about it. He told her in the last episode, while they were sitting in front of the fire in Edgy on Purpose:
>Dipper: I was in a fight with Mabel when it happened. Uncle Ford asked me to be his apprentice once the summer was over. But that would mean I wouldn't go back home. It would mean growing up without Mabel.
Wendy: Oh, dude.
>>77510712
>Their clothes are post-apocalyptic
I was wondering about that as well, since Wendy's still in her Rambo outfit in this scene. It could just be that falling into Mabel's dream world changes their outfits back to the defaults, but when they get closer to her they switch back to how they actually look.
>>77510833
I hope Alex tells us Gompers' backstory someday. Stan's line about how he was finally going to get rid of him left me questioning what the history was.
>>77510844
They're the most rounded side characters in the cast.
>>77510933
>Why We’ll Never Get Gravity Falls on DVD or Blu-ray
>>77511125
He said in an interview that there is a backstory that he has in mind but it doesn't sound like it will come into play in the show.
My question is if there are enough episodes to deal with the Big Dipper birthmark. It has something to do with the aliens I think... And there is that image of "someplace very far from the mystery shack" that we haven't seen yet. Maybe the season ends with Dipper and Mabel getting pulled off to the Prison Planet.
>>77510857
I feel so at home.
>>77510215
Could the anomaly be that McGuckett isn't on the Cipher wheel?
>>77511200
>there is that image of "someplace very far from the mystery shack" that we haven't seen yet
Didn't that turn out to be a background from the far future in the cold open of Blendin's Game?
Candip was only alive for a few minutes, but how glorious those moments were, how bright we burned
>>77511397
I wonder how /gfg/ would react if candip became canon, out of nowhere, in the end
>>77511464
Incandescent rage?
>>77511173
Pacifica's chest is so huge and soft you could bust off three times in between them and it still wouldn't be leaking out.
>>77511464
You mean gravity falls season 3. The next summer. Premiering January 2018!
>>77511497
They would probably absorb it and expand.
>>77511497
You could go spelunking in there and never be heard from again.
>>77511297
You're referring to the "find the anomaly" code from Search for the Blind Eye?
Since we still don't know what the criteria for being on the wheel is, I'm not sure how we were supposed to figure out McGucket in particular is the anomaly. Unless it's just being a major recurring character, I guess.
I do question Ford seemingly appearing twice on the wheel, though.
>>77511554
/r/ing edit with 4 fingers, that's just sickening to have 3 digits in such a medium
On next week's very special educational Gravity Falls, Bill learns where babies come from.
>>77510790
Because it's an unoriginal joke dumb people make to try to be funny
What's your prediction on how Dipper and Mabel's reunion will go?
>>77512789
sex
isn't it funny and edgy how i suggest incest happens in a disney show? XD
>>77512789
It'll start out rocky since she will still be salty about Dipper possibly abandoning her, but eventually they'll reconnect and establish the old sibling bond and when Mabel knows how bad things are outside she will help them break out of the bubble.
>>77512789
By the time Dipper finds Mabel, she'll already have been corrupted by Bill. We get a fight scene between the two of them until Dipper does the cliched remember the good times speech to help her break free of Bill's control.
>>77512789
she will have lived a thousand lifetimes. Learned every language. Travel every continent. Civilizations will rise and fall, and still she will continue. After humanity has vanished, new creatures from other worlds will find her, and revere her as a god. She will befriend them, and they will study her for centuries, until they, too, vanish. And after the earth is swallowed and the sun burns out, she will drift through space endlessly, time losing its meaning, as one after the other, the stars begin to go out.
And then a door will open in the cosmic void and a child wearing a cap will burst through it looking for somebody he lost.
>>77511464
a few people (mainly those without taste or started watching after NWMM) would whine it came out of nowhere and that alex shouldve gone with le redemption girl or something
smart GF fans would remember the hints in the shorts, the clear chemistry shown in the video game, and realize its the only couple that made any sense.
>>77512977
>By the time Dipper finds Mabel, she'll already have been corrupted by Bill.

Working on something special for you guys
I'll probably get it done this weekendbefore we go on hiatusand share it with you all.
Here's a sneak peek.
>>77511125
Bill will accidentally transform him back into labor-leader Samuel Gompers.
>>77513024
This scenario doesn't get used nearly often enough. I can only recall seeing it in printed fiction...has it ever been used in animation, western or eastern?
>>77510215
FROM MABEL'S BUBBLE SHALL COME THE ULTIMATE DEUS EX MACHINA TO DEFEAT BILL
AND THEN /CO/ WILL RAISE IT'S ARMS AND SHOUT:CONGRATULATIONS, MABEL
Hey /gfg/
When was the last time you told your sibling that you appreciated them?
>>77513349
Not that exact premise, no, but variations pop up in anime all the time. Yuki's position in the Endless Eight arc of Haruhi and the ending of Charlotte were in that vein.
>>77513349
Watch Don Hertzfeldt's film "It's Such a Beautiful Day."
Anyone else do cosplay/Halloween GF stuff?
>>77512977
she beat cancer, she can withstand Bill.
>>77513459
>>77513466
Ah, thanks! I'll definitely check those out sometime.
>>77513540
I basically plagiarized Don Hertzfeldt, so definitely check out It's Such a Beautiful Day if you want exactly what I wrote to be the climax of the story.
Is Bad End Mabel end boss?
>>77513488
What did you use make your hair grey? Looks fluffy.
>>77513488
I've wanted to, but I'm always busy around Halloween. Might go asWendynext year if I can, since I have all I'd need already, except for the hat.
>>77513488
We don't do Halloween where I live, but there's an end of the year thing where you go in costume and my grandma is gonna go as Stanley and me and my cousins are going to be as the shack pack
What IS "blanchin"?
>>77513644
My hair is naturally very thick and fluffy. That means it wants to hang down but if I blow dry, gel, or spray it I get lots of volume. In this case I blew it out, used a combo of colored spray and baby powder, and hairsprayed it all into place. Turned out ok, but a little different every day I did it.
>>77513897
Dipping vegetables into boiling hot water briefly in order to loosen their peels.
Why anyone who lives in a mansion would be doing their own cooking is the real question.
>>77513897
Well, when I growing up as a country girl, my family would blanch vegetables - that is, briefly boiling before freezing to better preserve them. Usually sweet corn. In a southern dialect, the process might be called "blanchin'"
>>77513969
My apologies, anon. Didn't realize someone had beat me to it.
>>77513530
But she is the cancer
Had to drop the too-blurry Pacifica one, it was giving me a time.
>>77514102
No need to apologize, anon. More /ck/ posts can only improve /gfg/.
Ford has me bored
>>77514213
No doubt! Maybe we'll have just one discussion of GF inspired dishes before /gfg/ hangs up it's hat.
>>77513906
Good to know. Any chance you got a pic of what your hair normally looks like?
>>77514368
Just get a bunch of vodka and pour candy into it until you can't see the bottom. That's Mabel's drink of choice all through college.
>>77514177
That fistpump
>>77514368
If all else fails, we could challenge anons to make the closest thing to the official Mabel Juice recipe as possible. Preferably with the ingredients they already have on hand in their houses.
>>77514512
>"THANK YOU, PUBERTY!"
Reminder.
>>77514392
Eh. I just got it cut and I style it up rather than letting it hand, so a pic wouldn't really show the difference too well. No more shaggy bowl for me since early college.
>>77514177
that's okay anon, here's a slightly less blurry one if you still wanted a better image.
>>77514521
I'm really not familiar enough with cocktails to create a new one, but I'll take a shot (heh) at it. Since we've seen Mabel drinking orange juice - aggressively - how about a screwdriver (vodka and OJ, for those few who don't know) garnished with a jello shot in the shape of a dinosaur and crushed sweet tarts (or some of that powdered dip stuff) on the rim?
I'm pretty sure I have sweet tarts...
>>77514741
sounds repulsive. i'd try that.
>>77514741
My Mabel juice recipe includes:
Vodka
Powdered caffeine
Assorted gummies that might or might not be soaked in alcohol
Triple Sec
A juicypop (A candy from where I live with a shit name, it has a lollipop I just throw in there and some sour liquid I mix on one per glass)
Speed (Energy drink)
Pink soft serve ice cream that I pour the liquid over
Pop rocks on the rim
And it goes in a highball glass
>>77514542
I'd feel more sympathy for Ford if he more openly expressed regret and remorse. We've seen some strong hints that he has it, but I get the sense he's not good dealing with or expressing feelings, and prefers to hide behind his intellect for protection.
Poor Ford and Mabel. Screwing up that hard's gotta hurt.
>>77511657
for you
>>77514741
-one ancient can of Jolt cola found in an abandoned convenience store
-coffee liqueur for added caffine + alcohol
-cake flavored vodka
-a dollop of vanilla ice cream
-garnish the rim of the glass with a plastic dinosaur
>>77514875
Ford seems to have no way to express empathy at all. He only looks sad when Stanley directly confronted him, and not even that much. He looked embarrassed more than anything.
He might FEEL empathy but people who have the feeling and still don't act on it are still really fucking shitty.
>>77514818
Ooh, nice! You definitely one-uped me. Bet you'd wake up praying for death after a night of those...if they didn't kill you first.
Would try.
>>77514936
I tried to make a literal mix of coffee and nightmares.
It worked, recommended.
>>77514919
>He might FEEL empathy but people who have the feeling and still don't act on it are still really fucking shitty.
Yeah that's a thing that should really be emphasized more. Like whenever you have a villain in a story just doing miserable fucking things, but they look a little sad or conflicted or whatever that doesn't change the fact that they are doing terrible fucking things.
Actions matter. Feelings are meaningless to other human beings unless they are conveyed in some tangible way.
>>77514919
Seems like it showing empathy doesn't come easily or naturally to everyone. The more I think about it, the more I suspect that Dipper would ultimately have a greater, more positive impact on Ford than Ford on Dipper.Dipper will not only save Ford's life, but he'll save his heart, too.
>>77514723
Turned out better than last time, guess I was just tired.
>>77514413
>>77514741
>>77514818
>>77514899
These are gold. I'm going to save them for future references.
>>77515065
Good luck finding the Jolt cola for mine..
>>77511008
Can we also not forget the naming conventions behind Lou Cipher and Bill Zebub? Don't forget to include those beside just the Beale Cipher and the dollar Bill.

Finally caught up. Bill's voice acting is what makes him so scary.
>>77515556
Oh wow that's a great offer! How about instead I scramble the functions of every hole in your face?
>>77515677
That was legit horrifying after hearing his muffled screaming.
so saved this back before I knew what the heck it was and just starting to crack the surface on this alternate universes stuff
1. which is best alternate world?
2. more canonically... where the fuck WAS Ford? was he in Bill's hellscape world, or just... somewhere that makes ray guns?
>>77515556
What makes Bill scary is Alex Hirsch's mental state: through the voice acting, we can tell that we are hearing a man pushed well past his breaking point, exhausted and silently praying for death.
>>77515744
>1. which is best alternate world?
Reverse Falls for edgy but kinda hot stuff.
Timehop for cuteness, even though there's pretty much nothing in this AU yet.
>>77515366
Only two votes for Hamlet/Evangelion ending?!
>>77515744
Timestuck AU best for feels
Reverse for oh god yes
Dimension 54, the nerdlord dimension.
>>77515744
The way he spoke about it, it sounded as if he'd been travelling through dimensions through the years. There was even one he apparently missed, according to the mind reader. Doesn't seem likely that he was stuck in Bill's realm.
What I'm guessing happened was that the portal did not yet have set coordinates, so when he was accidentally pushed through he was sent to a random dimension. Maybe we'll learn more about his travels someday.
>>77515924
Then why did McGucket see Bill's true plans by peeking through it even earlier?
Whats up with doublepines? Does anyone make any pinecest content lately?
>>77515940
What if he didn't? Out of all the realms in the multiverse, who is to say it was, 100%, Bill's nightmare realm? What if it was something equally terrifying? I don't think Fiddleford saw that one specific dimension if there are infinitely many of them.
>>77515744
samefag. from what I've gathered, of any real importance or popularity
>timeswap. Grauntie Mabel caring for kid Ford and Stan
>reversed world. Gideon and Pacifica have to deal with evil Pines twins
>monsterverse. everyone is turned into monsters by book/forest magic
>1920s GF
>Bill Cypher the human against twin demons
assuming genderswap's not an alternate anything beyond art
>>77515848
Reverse Falls has the most interesting fan art. I really like the designs for the Reverse Pines and Will Cipher. I don't read fanfiction, though.
>>77515797
For stuff that's great but with no content, I nominate Bootlegger Pines.
Dipper and Mabel are shipped off to live with their Great Uncle when their parents can't make ends meet. Stan is a fairly successful Bootlegger running a speakeasy and moonshining operation out of the Mystery Shack.
There's so much potential here, I can feel it, but just no one's grasped at it yet.

>>77516011
This sounds amazing. Why hasn't it taken off?
>>77516009
yeah definitely. Gleeful twins ftw
There's no content for it, but Antigravity Falls could be great. Why must all of my favorite ones be the ones that are most ignored?

>>77516011
Art reminds me a lot of Love is a Polaroid except LiaP is 50's and gangster
>>77516108
That's the one where Wendy and Soos switch roles with Dipper and Mabel right?
>>77516085
Well, there's exactly 2 pieces of fan art for it, both by Limey.
There's only 2 fics I've seen and one of them is basically just a retelling of Tourist Trapped but set in the depression, so it doesn't actually use the potential of the setting.
I'd say that it's mostly just no one's seen it, so no one makes anything for it, and consequently, no one sees it. These sort of things need to hit a kind of critical mass before anything is likely to happen.
>>77516060
not aware of those two. and I got shocking amounts of those I guessed correct
>>77516118
Yeah that would do it.
(Eldritch Ford ftw?)
>>77516152

I meant to post this pic with it.
Also the rest of the teens are 12 and Pacifica is older too.
>>77516160

Also is there a blog this Limey has that can be followed for updates and questions in relations to this?

>>77516168

Demonic Guardians is where Bill is actually supposed to be Dipper's 'guardian', and Mabel has Dot Matrix (a blue/purple square). starfleetrambo created it, it's good.
Mystery Trio is Stan, Ford, and Fiddles are three investigators of Gravity Falls. It's a really cheery AU, good for char. interactions.
I can upload a compilation of AUs if you want.
>>77516203
http://limey404.com/
It's Double Pines main blog. Limey is her "real name" so to speak.
As for the fics in question, I don't remember, they were linked to me on AO3 a while back and I didn't save the links.
As far as updates go, I wouldn't count on anything. Those pics are from ages ago. I'd just roll with it, if you want to make something for the AU, write stuff yourself. Don't worry about messing things up; there's basically no established "canon" for it because no one's really done much with it.
It's an undiscovered country for you to explore.
>>77516253
sounds swell. can random imagedump in return
>>77516203
Pretty sure there isn't much "lore" set so anything goes. Even if there is, it's AU so who cares
I don't even think Limey cared about it more than a passing fancy. I guess you can give credit later or something

>>77516410
You acting like this is probably what's keeping him away.
I think if Mabel went full dark side - not possessed or corrupted, but actually convinced to walk the left-hand path - Dipper would follow the second he realized it was her decision instead of an external imposition. Him tackling a robot for Mabel proved he'd give his life for her, so I think he'd give up his morality for her as well.
I want to see Dipper as the high priest and holy consort of the Tyrant God-Queen Mabel.

I'd imagine Ford would be a Lovecraftian scientist, something like Crawford Tillinghast. Artifacts would still exist, but some would be changed to fit the setting - the copier would be mimeograph for example.
Is Bill Cipher an alcoholic?
>>77516745
Well I can see Filbrick having been a grizzled, disillusioned Civil War Vet, cast into poverty after he found there was nothing to return to when the war was over.
Stanford could have been something of a Tesla figure. The time is ripe for all manner of crazy inventions and shit. The early 1900s were a scientific marvel.
A lot of Fords inventions could have been made with the intention of showing them off at the 1893 Chicago World's Fair, with the Portal incident occurring in 1892.
These dates would put Stan and Ford at around 70 (assuming that this takes place ~1930)

Which war?
If Stan's alive for Prohibition, there's no way that Ford was an adult during the Civil War.
And while it's not like America was in peace times after that, but there's not really another big Iconic American war for a while after that.
Filbrick could certainly have been a War vet though.

If we're going with this taking place during the Depression then Ford is too young to have taken part in the Civil War and too old for WWI. Going with the idea that Ford is basically a Lovecraft protagonist in the wrong story, you could just have him be a deconstruction of the SCIENCE! types. A prolific producer of technologies that could change the world that doesn't really care about actually changing the world and lets his inventions sit around gathering dust as he pursues his goals.

Going with the idea that the Mystery Shack is more like a circus sideshow we could have Ford growing up as an actual sideshow exhibit due to his hands. Part of his motivation is to be seen and valued for his works rather than a physical oddity and some of his contention with Stan is due to his issues growing up in that environment. Stan was a barker, spending his time schmoozing the crowd and wandering the circus while Ford got stuck in a tent while people tossed pennies at him.

I just want it to effect California and have their parents find out and maybe have the twins go, "Oh fuck that's right, we have fucking parents" and think about them for a second.
Since they're rushing as fast as they can to the ending of the series, I'm pretty sure the best we can hope for as far as side characters getting to do anything meaningful is the "Sacrifing self to clear the path for the heroes" route.
>Soos and Wendy fend off monsters while Dipper and Mabel run.
>Gideon and his prisoner crew drive the twins back to town and then blow a bunch of shit up to make a path.
>Pacifica rallies the townspeople to fight back against monsters who are cornering the twins.
>Blendin returns with a squad of timecops to storm Bill's fortress.
>The Stans and McGucket figure out a way to weaken Bill so the twins can fight him.

>>77518818
Tumblr's weird. You mostly hear about it outside of tumblr in the context of social justice nutjobs, but it's also been a hive of fandoms, kinks, and kinky fandoms since the beginning. Years back it was popular to ship 4chan with tumblr because early tumblr was basically 4chan for girls, for crying out loud. And even though the nutjobs are incredibly numerous there these days, there's still a lot of fandoms and kinksters running around tumblr and enraging the SJWs.
Lately in particular cartoon fandoms have been at war with the nutters ever since SU brought a lot of SJWs into the cartoon fandoms. There are hate blogs dedicated to spamming tags like Pinecest with hatemail and accusations of pedophilia. But they keep on keeping on, bless their hearts.

There's one we (mostly me) briefly discussed a while back here: Overgrown Pines, a fetish-based AU.
>Dipper is a massive muscle-shota
>Mabel and Pacifica are massive oppai lolis (Mabel is bigger, which sparks their rivalry)
>Wendy is either Muscle Wendy or Shortstack Wendy
The changes have little impact on the overall plot (although Bill taunting Dipper in Weirdmageddon would still be an effective scene here), so we focused more on shifts to character relationships, specifically between Dipper, Wendy, and Pacifica. Wendip is viable here, and whichever way we go with Wendy determines what happens with Pacifica once her feelings for Dipper begin to develop:
>Muscle Wendy: Pacifica sees how much Dipper and Wendy have in common and begins working out to try and catch his eye
>character development ensues when she realizes working out runs the risk of reducing her chest, putting Mabel that much farther ahead of her, forcing her to choose between her heart and her ego
>Shortstack Wendy: Bustier than Wendy but lacking in hips, Pacifica gains weight to try and match Wendy's figure, becoming a massively top-heavy Plumpcifica
>provides more variety in body types in the end, but lacks muscle Pacifica's character development angle

>>77520553
>>77520609
> What is it based on?
It's been a while since I came across the theory, but as best I can remember:
- Bill's reaction to Dipper's body in Sock Opera:
>Man, it has been so long since I've inhabited a body.
>And two eyes? This thing's deluxe!
Which, to be fair, seems like a natural comment for a mono-eyed being to make. It only took on significance when we learned that Ford served as Bill's go-to vessel for a significant amount of time.
- Ford's reaction to Stan''s arrival at the Shack in AToTS:
>Who is it?! Have you come to steal my eyes?!
as well as the as yet unexplained blood on Bill's page in Journal 3. Since we know that Ford was afraid Bill was coming after him at that point, his concern about his own eyes in particular is interesting. Journal 3 is also the one with the most warnings about Bill, and he amended the entry after they had their falling out. It's possible Bill was the one to injure or remove his eye.
- Ford's glasses. He come out of the Portal in a very roughed up state, like he came out of a warzone. One of the details was a crack in the left lens of his glasses. But while he's replaced the rest of his post-Apocalyptic gear, he's kept the messed up glasses. The idea is that he can't see our of that eye, so the crack doesn't bother him.
- the proliferation of glass eyes in the Shack, as well as Stan's adoption of an eyepatch for his Mr. Mystery persona. Where'd it all come from?
Personally, I'm not sold on it. It's a little edgy for a kids' show, and the timeline is questionable (did he lose the eye before Stan showed up? Or while he was in the Portal? What about Bill involvement, then? etc.). But it's an interesting idea.

Hit the nail on the head.
I don't really mind actual social justice discourse, (e.i. "racism and sexism and transphobia are bad and we should speak out against it when we see it") but there's this really militant group of people that's developed over time that's deadset on bullying people and using contrived excuses to justify it. "Oh it's in the name of Social Justice so I can't be held accountable for leading harassment-fueled smear campaigns against 14 year olds!!!! I'm the victim here uwu!!!"
These people want to ignore that fiction and reality are two separate things and spam and harass anyone who ships anything abusive or incestous. They claim rule 63 is inherently transphobic and then scream 'UGH CIS PEOPLE!' when asked to explain why and how that is. It's fucking insane and I don't get it. I saw someone accusing people of being pedophiles for shipping Mabifica the other day. Not for posting underage smut or anything, just for shipping two kids. It's a trend to insist that even aged up smut is somehow still pedophilia.
It used to be barely be a problem, but now you can hardly go in any tag without seeing that sort of nonsense. I miss the days when tumblr was just this fandom space populated primarily by girls and there wasn't all this rampant bullshit.
The batshit insanity is what made me finally switch from using primarily tumblr to coming to /co/ and /vg/ to get my fandom fix. 4chan has been working out a lot better for me. I'm not really a fan of all the pedo shit but hiding posts isn't that difficult when compared to trying to find sane rational people on tumblr.
I miss when this show was good. This whole thing reeks so stronl of Alex trying to impress the Rick and Morty people.
"Gee guys look at me! I-i can be edgy t-too! Since Disney is essentially firing me in 2016 can i come shit all over your show too?"
>>77523328
I'm gonna get my tumblr on here:
The problem with tumblr is how many TERFs there are. For example, Rule 63 was literally invented by trans women, and yet TERFs in their 30s are bullying girls that are like, 14, into agreeing with their POV. These people tend to be overweight too and instead of benefitting of Tumblr's body-positivity movement their bully people who disagree with it, which is fine in my opinion with pro-eating disordered stuff, but not with someone drawing a thin Rose.
You'll notice that callout blogs that were originally made by kids to shit on literal sexual predators have been overrun by TERFs also, and then it snowballed out of control.
That part of tumblr is like the /pol/ of sex and gender, except that it's harder to contain (That being said it isn't hard IMO, I love tumblr. Just be mindful of who you follow.)
>>77523328
>I miss the days when tumblr was just this fandom space populated primarily by girls and there wasn't all this rampant bullshit.
Those girl grew up and went to college. That's why it went to shit.
I'm sorry if it sound sexist, but modern women kind of suck at that age. It's not because of higher education, because second wave feminists had that and picked actual careers and shit instead of Gender Studies: it's the echo chambers.
I like discussing things here because it doesn't matter what opinion is held, it has a chance of being shat on regardless and it's nothing personal.
>>77523569
Avoid Wendycorduroy at all costs. If you start a tumblr make it your first order of business to go through her shit, find her little conclave of special snowflake friends, block them and then block the fuck outta her. Then you will have few problems on tumblr unless you draw fat people thin or say the truth about muslims.
>>77523669
It's weird that someone namedrops her every goddamn time we talk about tumblr. Why did you follow her in the first place? Her about says it all. Were you one of those people that worshipped Manzi?
>>77523569
Yeah pretty much. The whole social justice movement has been taken over and appropriated by people who have zero interest in actually combating injustice and just want to start shit on the internet so they can feel important and righteous. I think you're really onto something with TERFs being the primarily perpetrators of that.
And now the hot mess that's been created from all this all that the internet at large is capable of seeing in the tumblr, and as a result they refuse take anything real activists say seriously.
>>77523653
As a woman who just started college, I don't get why my peers have suddenly all started losing their fucking minds. It saddens me, and I hope that later down the road they'll all grow out of this edgy 'if you disagree with me on the internet you deserve to be doxxed' phase.
>>77523757
I think it's less that these people followed her more that she stuck her head in everywhere.
>>77523569
Yousound like you know what you're talking aboutWhat's a TERF?
>>77523757
nah man shes just one of the most infamous tumblrtards out there. One of he worst of the worst tumblr has to offer.
Anyone have that pic of Wendy flexing her bicep? Fully clothed.
>>77523757
Now that Manzi has been reduced to shit tier can we all admit we only tolerated her because she was dating le manlet and we thought if we cozied up to her she would give us some real dirt on the show during the hiatuses. Did anyone ever really care about, "muh cosplays"?
>>77523781
TERF means Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist. They think that trans men are women who are too weak to fight for other women and that trans women are men infiltrating them to rape them all basically. And they're also usually pro-murdering of the disabled and intersex people, if they acknowledge that intersex people exist at all.
>>77523781Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist, they tend to be the most extreme as their exclusion of trans folks stems from a hatred of anything they perceive as male.
>>77523781
Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist. Basically, if you're a feminist who doesn't think Trans count as "real women".
Frankly, I don't think they count either. I'm not a fan of third wave feminism and whatnot so this whole talk of privilege doesn't strike well with me, but I do realize there are things that are really fucked up for women and don't think it'd be right for me to co-opt in their stuff because I "feel like one" but didn't go through any of their struggles, you know?
Like, I didn't have to deal with a fucking period when I was twelve, I didn't get told I should worry about locking down a man instead of being my own person and I certainly didn't get only complimented on looks growing up. I can relate to shit if someone explains it to me, but I can't say I truly understand because I didn't go through it.
>>77523882
So basically fat cunts who need a good rape and beating to straighten them out?

Nobody is forcing you to understand trans people, but one thing is not understanding, and the other one is outing someone and actively want them to die off. You should respect how other people identify as, besides, trans people don't earn anything: They lose a LOT of respect and safety. For example in many countries including USA it's legal to beat a trans person to death. TERFs applaud this.
Another thing is, radical feminists are probably the feminists you actually hate, and TERFs are the worst part of that. Do the world a favor and hate them too.
>>77523920
Basically, I can't wait until they die off
>>77523917
The thing is most of it is to do with the social issues which anyone can be involved in really.
I mean if you go off things like periods there are plenty of women out there who don't get them, can never be pregnant, have no tits ect ect, would a TERF kick them out for not being a 'real woman'? The answer of course is they wouldn't, it's all based on considering someone else to be 'tainted' by masculinity.

Preeeeeetty sure that's not true. I know what you meant by it, but still.

>>77524181
Oh. Sorry, it's the Engrish.
>>77524257
It is though, as long as you prove that you beat the person for being surprised or offended at their trans-ness and not for any other reason like attempted theft. Seriously look it up.
It's rad-feminism that is rooted in hate. Social Justice is a good thing. Conglomerating both into one isn't doing the world favors though.

Yeah, there's this sick instinct in some people to want to pick up a rock and stone the evil-doer that sends a certain kind of person out to find acceptable targets. Some of those people get religion and use that to be dicks, others take up different causes.

Dipper is 12. Most middle class kids are spoiled like that, and desu, in a perfect world no kid that young would have to think too hard about things like rent.
Also, I don't think he was upset about the chores themselves. I think the reason he was upset about it was because it made him feel as though Stan doesn't like him all that much, especially compared to his twin.

That's it exactly. It was about the unfairness in the way Stan treated him compared to how he treated Mabel. Dipper thought Stan was picking on him.
