I'd say this shot from the latest teaser more or less confirms Mabel's bubble is a dreamworld rather than an alternate reality or something like that.

Chances of Actual Telekinetic Mabel being a thing are looking slim.

Great episode, but Wendy calling Mabel "Practically a Saint" and the dismissal of "I guess I do make fun of Dipper a lot." does not bode well for developing Mabel's character. The latter might be part of her arc, however, so this rating is subject to change.

It felt like a bad Season 1 episode, almost everything in this episode seemed wrong. It peeved me the same way most Mabel episodes grind my gears; they had a chance to develop Dipper's character, and didn't. The attractions themselves were great and the design for the upside-down house was wonderful. To Alex and company's credit, he did give a disclaimer to throw the canon out the window for this episode.

I'd hate to be part of the crowd on this, but this episode was ruined almost entirely by its placement in the series. This episode would have made way more sense being in the first half of S2 and the sudden focus on inconsequential hijinks and Dipper's crush on Wendy seemed way, way out of place, given the big tease of Bill at the end of the last episode and the events of Northwest Manor Mystery. don't get me wrong, it was cute and funny in places, but absolutely everything about its placement in the season was wrong

Survivor Wendy was great, the stakes were unbelievably high, Dipper at a total loss for what to do and really wanting Mabel was wonderful, the monsters were inspired, Bill was hilarious and anything that references Fury Road gets an automatic bonus point. also bonus points for Preston's face and Money For Nothing Gideon.

Before the serie ends, we want :

Why the RA defense squad? Did you guys actually enjoy that episode? Not trying to be catty, just kind of curious if you're seeing something I'm not. Doesn't seem to be a good reason sugarcoat it just because '1/10' sounds harsh. It was fun to see Stan causing mischief and dragging the kids into it, as well as the Stan and Dipper bonding. Those are the only two bits I enjoyed. The rest of it was just bad.

Darlene had the potential to be an interesting villain but they handled that poorly, the intended moral of the episode was completely botched in execution, it makes no sense after all the trouble they went to protect the shack to just take off on a roadtrip, and the 'romance plot' is something that tied up season 1 constantly, so it was cringey to see it dominating the episode, even if it was just filler.

I've seen legit 1/10 stuff. I saw a 30 minute black and white "Art film" that was literally two trannies doing stupid shit, with half a bunch of improvised stories told in front of a black screen. That was a legitimate 1/10. Nothing of value whatsoever.

Roadside Attraction still has all the characters I like, it still looks nice, it does surprise me in far it goes, and I got plenty of laughs. The only thing that was off was the moral/way Dipper was treated, but even then, I love many films that completely disagree with my view on life, so it wasn't so hard for me.

Hell, I'd give it a 7/10, even though it's still in my bottom three at least.

I think the main difference is said preschools were commercial establishments using Disney characters without permission. Not quite the same legally as a wholly not-for-profit fanwork.

But you're probably right about them softening their stance in the past few years. The rise of fan culture online has forced a lot of rightsholders into taking a less draconian attitude. It's not in their best interest to play whack-a-mole with infringing fanartists anymore.

Bigger projects like games and fan animations might attract their lawyers' attention, but nowadays there's also the bad optics associated with shutting down fan projects to consider.

You can't really make your voice sound like Bill. Bill sounds like Bill with or without the effect. The effect is used on a lot of widely-varying character voices.

That being said, you need two layers at -12 to -18db, pitched 1 semitone up and 1 semitone down. Occasionally two semitones up and down, depending on the context.
