>How are Gems Made?
>Too Far (October 15th, 2015)
Amethyst and Steven get into gossip.
Too Far (from NYCC, missing 30 seconds): https://mega.nz/#!5EEFiaQB!Ay0foxVKFIK1CByormRXtdOCrI5AzvPdoTS-AhZUCVk
well something pissed off Pearl.
what could it be?
Cause fuck you.
Who cares? Everyone knows pearls are incapable of rational thought.
From all the interesting future fusions we might yet see, Jasper - Pearl is actually the one interesting me the most and I can't help it
>Halloween costume edition
I am so grateful that holidays don't exist in this SU universe.
>We will never see all the possible gem fusions
I can hear Estelle's little "Hup"'s in my head.
>Amethyst gets butthurt about being a parasite on Earth
I have been wanting a Ruby and Sapphire fight for a while.
>She can't hit Sapphire thanks to future vision
>Ruby overpowers her in every regard
>Peridot then realizes that Ruby and Sapphire are way higher ranking gems then Amy and announces it outloud
Good that would make me gitty, real gitty
If your entire existence was a war machine parasite whose purpose in existing would have also destroyed the only thing you recognize as a home would that bother you?
I'd be a little angsty.
I was gonna save this for when someone started talking about Ruby and Sapphire
but can someone PLEASE fix their shit.
They are absolutely horrible when unfused and i can see 100 situations where they'd need to be unfused.
Amy is a weird gem she likes earth things when gems should have an instinctive yearning for the environments they naturally developled in, I think the gem planet would have no plant life so a wasteland is the equivalent of paradise to a gem.
GET OFF MY BACK, YOU FUCKING PARASITES.
When we're done with it for our short lifespans, we put the vast majority of it back into the dirt. Gems would take everything from the planet and bail on it.
You'd think the government would be interested in all this shapeshifting alien stuff. I know government agencies that handle alien stuff is a trope but either SU takes place in a third world country or there is no government beyond the mayor.
Seeing steven fuse with any gem might be interesting but also somewhat kinky, considering what their relationship is and how the CG:s are like his moms. I'm not sure if the gems would be comfortable with that.
What, in anyone's opinion, would be the most disastrous fusion?
I'm proposing Amethyst and Jasper because they'd form a reckless, aggressive hellbeast who'd destroy shit gleefully as a prank and a show of power, just because they can.
The Gems tried to fuse with Steven in Alone Together, so they seem to be perfectly okay with doing it.
As for the most disastrous fusion, we already have that one.
It's all but guaranteed Steven will ask Peridot about her Weapon at some point:
Do you think she does have one but never learned to summon it because building Limb Enhancers was easier, or do physically weak Gems just not get Weapons?
What could it even be? Maybe some sort of Arm Cannon? She's always kind of reminded me of Megaman, (especially the Captain N version now that I think about it.)
It could be that they just don't want to focus on human interaction beyond the residents of Beach City. If they've got freight trains running across the country, it can't be that fucked.
I cant take a half year hiatus. I'll drink myself to death. Please tell me its a all just a bad dream /sug/
>He got juked by the Zuke
Look upon his visage and laugh.
Just because the gems have lewd dances doesn't mean they'll pull some adorable and cutesy shit for when they fuse with Steven. They'll probably take precautions too, since fusing with Rose/Steven is likely the single largest power boost any fusion could ask for.
So we're getting peridot learning to be less shitty to the gems, when do we get them learning to be less shitty to her, not a single one has thought to loom at this as a culture clash and are all basically thinking she's "just a filthy home worlder"
When do they stop and think what shit looks like from her perspective?
I thought they just tried to teach him to dance?
Ouch, how did Lapis x Jasper (Jaspis?) -fags take that?
Since I found out the leak was an After school Special.
Steven my boy, gasoline is the true blood of America! And those future eligible voters who hold Coast City are going to give up one or the other when they see our road warriors on the horizon!
I'm guessing that all gems have the ability to make weapons, derived from their light construction abilities, peridot's are techs though and probably never trained in this ability
Do you guys think that HW has always been a racially based, heavily capitalist society? Or did it radicalise after the war? The fact that Pearls still used to be slaves, that different gems permafusing seems to have always been looked down upon, and hell, that even now the CGs still just refer to each other by simply their race and class suggests so. But it also seems like some of HW's views seem new to the CGs, indicating otherwise.
>I thought they just tried to teach him to dance?
Maybe, but it was clear they did attempt to perform a fusion dance with him, with the intent to fuse, or at the very least teach him how to fuse.
>he really got blocked
Why would people ship them in anything but a rapey way? Jasper has never shown an ounce of care towards watergirl only using her right at the end as a powerup and Lapis did a pointless "sacrifice" that locked jasper in an endless hell because MUST PROTECT STEVEN, THE ONLY PERSON I CARE ABOUT!!!
People are actually cosplaying as Jamie like this at NYCC.
Found one with the Amy mop and thats just want i wanted to see.
also this just in, everyone is fucking cosplaying as Steven, its the new fucking deadpool.
What use does an immortal society have in buying useless shit? Their sole currency is probably just top dogs trading pearls around.
Otherwise, it was probably always entirely social/gem class based. We don't quite know the hierarchy yet but we've got an idea of how it went down.
Wow you're really this mad over getting blocked? What an even bigger fag.
Shippers are completely insane, they are the kind of people that think a girl smiling at you for more than 5 seconds means she is your soulmate. Shipping is iilogical in gem society since they have no reproduction.
Pretty meh ad but it's better then what they constantly use here.
Steven cosplay acquired for like $25
No shit having an easy to cosplay MC is going to cause hundreds of them.
>The Duke blocked a filthy tripfag
Gems probably deal with multiple intelligent alien races. Gems would probably need a pop culture aspect of their society to distract the masses.
Also why the fuck do fucks do gems speak in English.
>Young kid who's the poster child for early onset diabetes becoming most cosplayed character in America
What else did you expect.
I didn't say I don't regret it but I won't apologies for speaking my mind.
Because whatever language they speak is the language they established on earth, which humans picked up thousands of years ago.
Alternatively, why does anyone ever that shouldn't speak English speak English?
does that mean the Jamie cosplayers are going to lust and fawn over the Garnet cosplayers?
>gems speak in English
The lack of explanation bothered me too. The CGs I can understand, but why wouldn't the Homeworld gems speak their own language to each other instead of using English?
i did something a bit different but i also made it an exploitable
so, when is someone going to cosplay
I will never understand people who genuinely seem to think that shippers equate their ships with real-life relationships in any way. All the arguments about "hurr in real life people aren't romantically interested if they look at each other for 2 minutes, shipping them is dumb" are retarded in the same way the arguments about "you can't like x character, they are a horrible person who do bad things and if you knew them irl they'd be a harmful or dangerous acquaintance".
It's fiction ffs. It has nothing to do with real-life plausibility.
The same reason they're all human-shaped.
I think the reason is that they came to Earth and figured the Human shape and English language were most optimal compared to all other forms/languages they've had before.
Is it wrong that I'm starting to find peridot as a character legitimatly more sympathetic than the crystal gems? I'm not saying she can't be a shit, She can but given her position...
Gemlet, the gem equivalent of a manlet.
Not that Anon but fuck you for that gif.
>have a crying Lapis for no actual fucking reason
>Possible Jasper/Garnet fusion?
Amethyst slept in her room.
And threw her sword collection into disarray.
And went in the waterfall.
>They are absolutely horrible when unfused
Imagine how bad they used to be before they found true love.
Opinions on ship:
Lapidot:Gross Lapis is too good for that sperg
Jaspidot:Cute a shy nerd being dominated by a bull
Jaspis:Cute maiden being with the big strong guy cute
Amydot:Shitty version of Jaspidot
Stevonnie:The jolly dude andn the shy girl is a relatable ship
Sadars:Fat nice girl with complete jerk um no like yuck
Rosegreg:Jolly couple yes
Rosepearl:Petite woman being dominated by the large motherly woman yes
could you even consider her somewhat relatable?
Having to work with idiots, but only because you don`t have many options. And, like anyone, you kinda want to be recognized for your accomplishments and try to make connections, so you don`t feel completely alone.
too bad she`ll betray them all when she sees an opportunity to leave Dearth.
Hooray for Lapis!
Adam Muto, current showrunner of AT and former storyboard buddy of Sucrose.
Again requesting an edit of this with someone punching
Ashtonin the face.
>yfw Alex entered Fructose's sweaty, hairy, nasty butthole
Anyone else think Homeworld is going to turn out to be the most boring place ever?
The CGs are almost Zentradi-like in not getting the whole culture thing, Peridot doesn't know what "funny" is, acts of intimacy are seen as weapons, and there's a rigid caste system in place where a name is more like a job description.
Does Yellow Diamond just hate fun or something? Goddamn.
I know and the CG keep assuming she's just a bitch when she has no context for things like freedom from gem class or fusion as more than a weapon or the nature of steven's existance
I'll start with that request from yesterday
Peris are technicians they are suppose to be autist because giving them too much emotional thought gets in the way of their work.
Jasper implies that warrior caste gems beat the shit out of alien lifeforms for sport so they do have fun and its similar to earth.
My theory is that it' hasn't always been this way, and the Diamond Authority is like a dictatorship.
"Homeworld's not what it used to be" -Lapis
Are you an idiot. Even in the SU universe they have old Shakespearean English and foreign accents meaning the have evolved and changed much like in our world and foreign languages exist. But somehow it's the contemporary English that they speak in the homeworld? Like, if the homeworld gems would speak some barely understandable variant of English, it would be plausible, but after thousands of years apart, oh look they speak the exact same language?
It's either a plot hole or gem magic insta-translation or something like that, but def not "hurr the gems brought contemporary English with them millennia ago"
>The Cluster never took root
>It was absorbed without even a hitch by this guy
>TFW without Rose's influence, homeworld got EVEN WORSE
I think they originated on Earth. It fits the feel of the show.
money money money money money money money money money
Opal is a pimp
Here's that word again. Capitalist (don't know if you mean free market or cronyism) is an economic system. How did you infer it from what the show has shown? Oh, I know! It's because capitalism is the buzzword name for the economic illiterate's boogeyman. Your comment sure reeks of NEET
It's probably magic. Something like they send out a message that taps into the brains of everyone who hears it and alters their perception so that it comes across as the Gem speaking that person's language along with mouth formations and such.
Only because you've carried on an inane conversation long enough that I'll reveal the super secret reason why they all speak English.
It's fucking convenient not having to make up a language, and then subsequently make people read captions for it. The reason is obvious you twit.
>enemy alien turned ally
>mother died to provide defense for the world
>mother's son is a pivotal MC
>there`s a black character that barely talks
yeah, pretty much.
Yellow Diamonds are considered "Industrial Grade". YD being a gem obsessed with logic and efficiency makes perfect sense.
Perhaps the former Pink Diamond was "The Heart", and since she's vanished, Homeworld has gone to shit 1985 style.
And as she gradually realizes the truth of things... she's gonna have a major breakdown.
>Peridot doesn't know what "funny" is
Not anymore than a Pearl knows what 'fighting' is. It's a stratified society that works by forced indoctrination.
The elite undoubtedly know more than the underclasses, but our own history shows it is quite possible for an entire culture to have its head firmly shoved up its ass.
Gems live for thousands of years. So societal change is probably very slow.
Please see enclosed diagram for an explanation
>Crystal Gems have to go on a mission.
>Leaves Peridot with Greg to babysit.
>Crystal gems eventually return, and find that Peridot is now perfectly behaved.
>Amy: "What the fuck did you do Greg?"
>Pearl: "Amethyst! Language!"
>Garnet: "Greg, may I ask how you got Peridot to behave herself?"
>Greg: "Well, you know, just regular parenting. You have to know when to be mellow and when to be firm."
>Steven: "That mean he gave her a spanking."
>Amy: "Oh... Ha ha ha hehehehehe!"
>Peridot: "May I simply return to your incarceration now?"
My post just points out that immortal beings that don't need anything to survive probably aren't huge on the whole economy thing. But please, give your worthless economics degree some value and contribute your opinion on how gem society functions beyond what they've shown us.
Homeworld's society is clearly authoritarian. We could say it's probably based on Plato's view on society and politics (everyone has specialized abilities and an appropriate role for them to fulfill).
I'll carry superglue with me just in case. But it's quite sturdy
Make you wonder if the kindgarden gems are sent to alien planets to kill everything to prepare for gem colonization.
Logic is the only absolute, emotions are just fake distractions, a logical being would be capable of not giving a shit about missing out on fun. From our point our view they are boring but from their point of view we are insane.
My God you're such a huge faggot I can't take it
When everyone is a diamond, no one will be.
They were suprised steven fused with connie dude. Also steven is a gem, and they only tried teaching him to fuse so he could fuse with one of them (as to their knowledge he couldn't do it to anyone else)
Gems dont need anything to survive so having an economy in their societies is retarded. They most likely buy superficial things to entertain them with their alien currency.
Emotions get in the way
Yeah, it matches well enough with Plato. People who make shit, people who fight other people, and then the select group of people who sit around thinking led by a philosopher king.
Of course it never works out as well as Plato thought, and it basically always brings rise to dictators who rule that shit with an iron fist to keep the system from falling apart.
So fucking hyped you get to strut your stuff, the both of you.
So does that mean SU will eventually introduce a foxy, based as hell space cop with a fantastic theme song?
Because I'd be very much okay with that.
No emotions do get in the way of human progress mainly the emotion of sadness though. Some emotions like happiness also lead to hedonistic degeneracy over common sense.
Why do we want to feel happy? Because we feel boredum.
>Gems live for thousands of years. So societal change is probably very slow.
So that'd mean that they'd still speak the same version of whatever language was dominant on Earth during the rebellion, thousands of years ago. So what, some ancient Sumerian cuneiform?
Again, theory of "Gems taught contemporary English to humans" debunked. It's just a non-issue plothole that'll get explained by magical means if they ever bother explaining it at all.
You completely suck at following conversations or understanding who's saying what, twerp
> sharing a deep appreciation for the music and the visual arts and having a similar sense of intellectual humor (aka Super intelligent jokes that only brainiacs like them could understand!)
I just meant a society where the leaders (diamonds and possibly quartzes) use their power for their own benefit, keeping them the superior class and those with less power an inferior class.
English in its modern form has only existed for ~150 years. The HW gems were last on Earth ~6000 years ago. Even if they taught humans how to speak millennia ago, the language they taught them then would be completely different from what Americans speak now. The only plausible explanation is that it's
an American cartoon meant for kids, of course no one's gonna speak any language apart from English.
Don't know what's worse, the ad itself or knowing that people will sing along to it. Cringe worthy/10
I want another serious episode with her where she isn't a villain.
Gem society is not even possible, if humans didnt need food, drink or anything to surivive we would just be doing our own thing instead of working as a society unless it benefits us. An immortal race would be a bunch of civilizations with their own ideas of WHAT THEY FEEL is right probably trying to kill eachother because conflicting cultures creates conflict.
They probably will. I wouldn't be surprised if Sugar has made up an entire huge interstellar setting that we aren't seeing because Steven isn't.
>Now I want Steven as Joe and Connie as Silvia
No you don't. Because that would Onion Captain Blue Jr.
Do you really want that, anon?
>tfw not fat enough for Greg
It's an odd feel
>Until the fucking tryhard ending
6.5/10, better than most localizations
>Everyone assumes that Garnet is the reason that Sugilite was so huge.
>It was mostly because of Amy and her hidden quartz power.
Imagination was never as aspect of emotional reasoning its was an aspect of abstract thinking which is still logical, a machine could invision a scifi spacecraft you never even contemplate for example.
That would be too gay even for 'make it gayer' Sugar. Think of the fusion dances.
It's more than likely an emergency superweapon.
as soon as both our armsocks and my Jasper's boots are done I'll get working on a nice minishoot. And I'm sure we'll take lots of pictures during comic con.
I dont hate emotions you asstard, I just stating a fact.
Emotions can be used as a form of control like humans forming faster social bonds due to an genetically increased ability to bond with other humans better.
Like you can talk to a dude for about 5 minutes and now both of you like eachother. I suppose gems are not too autistic and still value friendship which is why their platonic relationships can look more like romance.
I've heard of political correctness, but this is ridiculous.
>a foxy, based as hell space cop with a fantastic theme song?
You mean like Devcon, or Ultra Magnus?
>So that'd mean that they'd still speak the same version of whatever language was dominant on Earth during the rebellion, thousands of years ago. So what, some ancient Sumerian cuneiform?
Sheeeeittt. ...That is a pretty major plot hole.
Either that... or all of this... is After The Apocalypse and the Gem War is still in our future.
We 'bout to get a "student becomes teacher" episode/arc?
Clearly Peridot's problem is her difficulty with emotions; she thinks, she doesn't feel.
Something tells me Yellow Diamond abandoned her to get killed by The Cluster because she, Jasper, and Lapis jobbed hard to a bunch of traitors.
I don't think Steven can be poofed, at least those destabilizer things the HWs have don't work on him.
Speaking of Gem physiology clashing with Human; So Many Birthdays was supposed to be about the CGs facing the fact that they will outlive Steven, but at the same time it showed he can adjust his age based on his mindset, so couldn't he just act immature forever and stay young?
Wait this isn't canon, is it? I love this
Mad Max/Steven Universe is my shit
I was planning on doing some. Been training to make my voice more squeaky already.
Posting again because i liked it so much
I thought, it's part of Rose's keikaku. It's the key to stopping the Cluster. Just add it to the Cluster.
But thinking about it, Did Rose knew about the Cluster? Peridot said that it was decided to use earth as a breeding ground for the Cluster after the colony was abandoned.
Did Rose actually win the war, or did YD just say fuck it? Let's grow a superweapon there.
I think it may be the latter. Rose was winning so Homeworld said fuck it and began making the cluster. Then they dropped the nuke, intending to corrupt everyone. At least that's my theory.
If they use this as a means of Pearl being able to spy on Homeworld...
>"Behold, I've constructed this harness as a means for my Pearl to transport me short distances without exerting myself, trulyI have found a new use for Pearls!"
>"...Anymore of that and I'll unclip you here and now."
The latter is most likely.
I think Homeworld ended the war with whatever superweapon caused the mass corruption after setting up the Cluster shit, then just left the planet, assuming every Gem was dead, corrupted, or would be dead soon.
That would fit in with Peridot's reports saying that all gems on earth were wiped out, and greg's comment of Rose's shield being important in protecting who she could during the war.
She probably lovingly handcrafted the thing.
>Peridot finally makes it back to Homeworld
>Doesn't realize how much her experiences have changed her until the other Peridots treat her like an alien freak
>Steven is 'poofed' or whatever happens to him (maybe it's really gross and squishy)
>Regenerates as a teenager because he needs to be bigger and stronger
>He's a lot less naive now...
>The Gems cry all the tears over their little boy
>Doing what you expect
Only that at one point they were normal gems, and the implication is that they've been fighting them for thousands of years.
It's possible. A fusion gains their motives from the gems who fused together.
Amethyst has learned that fusion shouldn't be used for selfish reasons, like how she wanted to be strong.
I'll doubt they'll bring Nikki Minaj back though. Has she made any comments on the show besides talking about how she was going tobVA in that one episode?
Until all all of that bloody conflict is ended by Diamond Authority is created.
It makes sense.A singular Homeworld is created by 4 dictators to create unity among the race. This seems like a good cause which excuses the terrible methods they use, until one of the Diamonds had second thoughts and betrays the other 3.
Greg fell for Rose because she was an elegant 8 foot tall woman who was kind and carefree. Amy is basically the opposite of Rose, even if she had grown to be an amazonian warrior.
YD comes off so far as the type leave pawns at the way side for whatever she sees as the greater good, the cluster hatching is more importaint to home world than a few operatives
Unity wont be possible unless you make drones like the current caste system in YD gem society, theres no point to unifying into a society when you dont need jackshit tto stay alive.
Something I haven't seen people discuss from the new episode is the fact that Peridot refereed to the injectors as "Era One".
Doesn't that imply that maybe the Kindergarten shit and Gems in general actually weren't that old when the Rebellion happened?
So after watching Too Far, I want there to be an episode where Amethyst asks if she can be the leader on a mission for once. Garnet relents and at first Amethyst does a great job, until she either puts someone in danger or lets the authority go to her head.
I dunno I kind of want Amethyst to start thinking about what she's "supposed" to be and start making some decisions to reflect that. I think it'd be interesting if Amethyst felt natural as the leader of the group, or if Garnet actually let Amethyst take over as leader for real. Though that would shake up the status quo
You're just lucky I have time to do these.
Did anyone do one before me?
>thinking Lasper/Jaspis was about it being a good, healthy relationship
Sardonyx is the easy choice and I don't feel like being contrarian.
If a Poilidot fusion ever happens that'll probably end up being my favorite though.
Has someone made a gif of Peridot's fistbumping?
Peridot's treatment of Pearl in the latest episode further hints just how shitty it is on Homeworld.
Hell, Gems from lower castes aren't even considered living, thinking beings, but a mere property owned by upper class Gems. What if Lapis was like that too, being some other Gem's property in form of a mirror?
You know tho Steven would be all over going around all over the place in a costume to get as much candy as possible
Oh I agree that Garnet is most likely the better option as leader. I'm just saying it might be interesting if Amethyst tries to be leader and is very effective at it.
As much as I like Amethyst I think she's pretty much a one-note character at this point. I think having her try to take on a new role in the team could be interesting. Like, I think it might be interesting if Garnet starts getting a little jealous that Amethyst is doing such a good job as leader. After all Garnet only became the leader like 15 or so years ago after Rose died
Man now I want Amethyst to get mad and demand "who made you boss, Garnet? You just decided that on your own after Rose left!"
Exactly, she ain't gonna waste any resources to retrieve a failure who got wrecked by a Fusion and later Fused herself, a traitor who trapped the failure at the bottom of the ocean, and a whiny nerd who wound up living in the enemy's bathroom.
Well, Peridot did see Sapphire on the ship during Jailbreak, and she still said Amy is the highest rank.
It's pretty possible that a strategist is below a soldier in this case, especially if Homeworld is more about action which seems to be the case.
Remember, this is an alien society of immortal rock people. Our moral standards may not really relate to theirs.
Pearls likely don't know any better and are perfectly content with their life. Same for most other gems.
Rose was the one that broke the system and lead others to ask for more.
I agree with everything except for the last part. It may not be as demeaning as it sounds to us. Being in the mirror might be comparable with serving in a tank or in an observatory.
Yeah, it's very likely that Gem Homeworld is a highly militaristic society where soldiers hold a higher position in hierarchy than intellectuals/scientists do, if Jasper ordering Peridot around is any indication.
I think the most interesting dream of Steven's is the 1950 one, I think that tells us that Steven kind of longs for a "regular" life. One where he has a real mom and only has to worry about school dances and stuff.
I think he loves being a Crystal Gem but in the end he wishes that he could just live without worry about that stuff
Garnet saying "The big dance! Don't do anything I wouldn't do" feels really significant. And Amethyst saying "stop fussing over steven like a baby"
Also, I'm fairly sure pizza is an allegory for love in the series - Rose + Pearl surfing on a pizza slice in P's dream, in Keystone Motel Steven learns to accept square pizza
Cause she's smol and powerful.
>PROVE IT HUMAN
>FIGHT ME AS YOU DID THE MIGHTY ROSE QUARTZ
because she's so cool her body had to warm itself up
Humans hold their pop culture representatives the highest though
You cant discover everything and still be an interstellar civlization
Shes an impulsive idiot, shes the only gem that is literally degenerate.
guys how do you feel about this last episode?
i mean , because is going to be THE last episode this year
That's precisely why I think such an episode could work. Things go well for Amy as leader at first, but when push comes to shove she's not as experienced as Garnet.
I think they could take the episode two ways, either Amythyst accepting that "natural talent" is nothing compared to actual experience, or maybe Garnet realizing they've been treating Amethyst as a child for far too long.
Uhhhh, Amethyst was the one content with the idea of Garnet being the boss. Remember the episode where Pearl was like "naah, she just brings important decisions crucial to the mission" and Amy replied "well yeah, she's the boss!!"?
Bismuth is theorized to have inspired the legend of the Philosopher's Stone, which has among others the ability to change quartz into diamond.
It also turns into a sweet-ass car.
>Also, I'm fairly sure pizza is an allegory for love in the series - Rose + Pearl surfing on a pizza slice in P's dream, in Keystone Motel Steven learns to accept square pizza
I... never thought of this
Steven is getting skinnier in appearance as the show goes on. It was weird watching Cheeseburger Backpack and watching Amethyst tell Steven to suck his fat in while they were on the warp pad.
Do you think this is intentional, like they had planned for Steven to lose weight? Or unintentional and they just rolled with it?
Do you like the change?
Yes but don't characters often change due to new information and stuff? I mean why can't Amethyst be curious if she'd make a good leader now that she heard that stuff Peridot was spouting?
C'mon man it doesn't even need to be a permenant thing, just something that happens in one episode as a character development moment
I like it, I hope he actually becomes tall and bulky like Rose was, further driving home the point that he is her son, her legacy. Turned from a tiny, chubby kid into a tall, bulky hero.
Or perhaps pizza = trust, or friendship? Steven met up with Garnet in the pizza place when he confessed about Secret Team. They had pizza cards to share the secret.
Steven also trusted Buck with his art when they went to get pizza.
Pearl trusted Rose to be around but then Greg was there and ... pizza came out his mouth?
And Steven will one day learn to accept all kinds of pizza. In the Lion 3 outline they were very specific about how Steven felt about triangle sandwiches too...there's some weird shape symbolism going down
