Pic related. Seriously how are the villains not using their obvious hiding spot to beat them crapless, plus it clearly says KND. I thought it was "secret" but for god's sake how come nobody noticed that!?
>>
>>71055940
The villains know; the issue is they either don't have the time, the motivation (some who did have motivation definitely went out of their way to attack it), or even the faintest of a shit to give about it unless Sector V is actively fucking them up.

That and Sector V is surprisingly competent and always ends up beating the tar out of the villains (save for some hilarious exceptions) and that most of the "evil adults" aren't actually that evil in the first place.
>>
That's a good question, OP. Someone post that Grant Morrison quote.
>>
>>71056031
Which one?
>>71056026
Isn't KND fucking them up nearly every episode? Besides it's not like the KND can be considered a secret organization anymore, when you have a damn moon base, a very obvious one at that, then your as subtle as Nicholas Cage...
>>
>>71056649
the one about batmans tires.
i don't care enough to do more work
>>
>>71056649
Adults don't know about the moon base, in fact they also don't know that the 1969 moon landing was faked.
>>
>>71055940
I'm pretty sure there's an episode that talks about their security being fairly decent, and if someone attacks them they can respond accordingly.
Might've been the episode where Nigel was trying to sleep and people kept attacking.
>>
>>71056726
...How? I'm sure you can see it by buying a telescope at bleedin' Walmart. It's like a huge zit on the moon, I'm sure someone would see it.
>>
>>71056761
It's the hamsters.
>>
>>71056823
It is on the dark side of the moon.
>>
>>71056857
>Dark side.
Oh it's one of those shows. Well was KND any good? If so what made it good, I just want to know to see if I should watch G:KND.
>>
>>71056833
I thought that was just how it's powered.
>>
>>71056823
the moon is always facing the same direction relative to the earth. there could be a secret moonbase on the back and we'd be none the wiser.
also the adults in this show are dumb
>>
>>71056026
>yfw the KND was the bad guys all along
>>
>>71056963
>was KND good
Yes.
>what made it good
It was childish while still being serious while also not taking itself too seriously. The main five of Sector V are all interesting characters with their own personalities that work with each other and work on their own. There isn't an episode where you're wary of it being a certain character's turn in the spotlight, and it's good for the kid in you.
>should watch G:KND
I'm pretty sure that isn't even going to happen, considering last I checked it was just a petition thing and I never see those go anywhere, but if it is getting made then I'd expect it to be good enough to warrant a watch.
>>
Season 1 shows off a bit of their defenses when Numbuh One goes off to an amusement park.
>>
I don't think it was ever a hiding spot. In some shots you clearly see it in the background or someone running towards it and I think some of the parents have even commented on it before. Not to mention that numerous villains in several different episodes have launched an attack on it.

>>71056649
>Isn't KND fucking them up nearly every episode?
They said "actively fucking them up" as in if the kids were constantly aiding the adults houses and shit for no reason. Most of the time (unless there was false intel or something) the kids are only attacking because the villain has some "devious" plan in place like making kids do their chores or mind controlling kids to not buy anymore games. If the adults arent doing anything the knd doesnt mess with them and handles the adult that IS doing bad things. It is basically like the average superhero/superhero arrangement, there are times when one plots revenge but their relationship is almost entirely about reacting to the other.
>>
>>71056996
The hamsters sometimes seemed like mini agents. They mostly powered everything but every once in a while they were implemented in another way.
>>
>>71057005
the good adults are dumb, probably because they were in the knd when they were younger and had their minds wiped

Isn't there a law against building shit over 30 feet in residential areas? How did they get pass that?
>>
I thought the whole KND thing was just this really big LARP. The villains are mostly made up or annoyed adults who are tired of that shit and can't wait for them to grow out of it. The giant clubhouse isn't real, it's just a normal dinky treehouse. Everything is powered by imagination.
>>
>>71058574

Likely because the senate is more focused on making laws that make life miserable for kids.
>>
>>71058684
It may have been in the early seasons but that got thrown out the window pretty quickly.
>>
>>71059020
Yeah, towards the end of the first season it was shown that the KND operated globally.
>>
They have a very, very good defense system. One episode revolved around it going down, and they had like 4 or 5 attacks in the span of 15 minutes.
>>

The delightful children knew about it, which means Father knows about it, which means probably every other villain knows about it. I think they don't raid it because they can't. It probably has some auto defense system or something. From what I remember, the only one's who actually got inside were Count Spankula, Nightbrace and the Toiletnator.
>>
>>71058784
Like Hellsing. But with more GTA.
>>71059310
>Toiletnator got in.
Welp.
>>
>>71059310
>Toiletnator

If HE was able to get in, then the tree house should've been burnt to the ground by now.
>>
>>71059486
That was because Sector V was at school during the episode. Not sure why they turned off the defense systems when they were out though.
>>
>>71059486
Didn't he get in through the toilet? How many other villains would or could manage to do that? Most probably wouldn't think it's worth it.
>>
>>71059310
Why are all those children so sexualized
>>
>>71059310
Stickeybeard, Common Cold, and Cree have all gotten in, as well as a bunch of minor villains in the episode about its power grid.
>>
>>71059310
Was it ever explained why that guy on the right is always wearing a football helmet?
>>
>>71059624

>>
>>71059665
that was all just in a dream/simulation
>>
>>71059714
Nah they probably build their weapons and shit from busted villain tech after kicking their asses soundly.
>>
>>71059744
And before they busted them up? Where'd they get the tech there? Who knows maybe they just raided a scrap yard like Goblins.
>>
>>71057617
>>71057847

Eugh, one of the things I liked about KND was that it didn't do what Mona the Vampire did and suggest it was all made up.
>>
>>71059784
But it was all made up.
>>
>>71059779
I guess it's one of the questions they didn't answer. Like they answered their "infinite powuh" by showing the hamster generator room, but I don't know about the weapon/tech generation to be honest.

Although it does seem like a lot of things are straight from junkyards, like most of their vehicles are cars and trucks combined with other car/trucks and jet engines and shit.
>>
>>71059841
Bullshit. Stop spreading your shit.
>>
>>71059658
But the delightful children don't grow up
>>
>>71059310
i've tried to be a normal upstanding citizen but i can't hide it anymore. I've always wanted to fuck the round brown chick.
>>
>>71055940
>Seriously how are the villains not using their obvious hiding spot to beat them crapless

They have. Stickeybeard's blown the shit outta that place like 5 times. Cree and her league of assassins raid it once a season. In fact, almost every villain has fought inside the tree at least once.
>>
>>71059986
That would be a nice twist, Father set out to make perfect Delightful children out of Sector Z and succeeded past his expectation, but at the cost of them never able to grow up naturally.
>>
>>71059986
Not only do they grow up, they always try to mature faster than they should.
>>
You must not watch the show enough if you are asking these questions, as the KND bases were never really about being secret. They are just fortified structures for kids to conduct their adult fighting business. As many have said there have been episodes where villians have attacked or tried to attack the base and they have defenses to keep it relatively safe. It doesn't always work, but they can usually fix the damage anyway.
>>
>>71060568
They can definitely repair that shit, considering how their treehouse got literally demolished at the end of season 1 and the moonbase got fucked up at the end of season 2.
>>
>>71060615
and lets not forget that the old Moonbase was dropped on Grandfather in the movie and they had to build a new bigger one.
>>
>>71060691
Came with a statue of Numbuh 0, so it was definitely worth it.

The ones I can remember are season 1 ending where it gets completely destroyed, the LICE episode where it gets cheesed up, not really destroyed though, the VIRUS episode where Cree literally flips it over, and then in NAUGHTY when they just straight up steal it.

Lots of treehouse gags.
>>
>>71062048
Remember when the conde spankula was part of the KND?? he by accident blow up half of the tree house
>>
So, the whole show was basically a bunch of kids with over-active imaginations, right?

This is why they always said something about 'kids that got older' and stuff like that, right?

So, everything we saw was just through the lens of kids imaginations? Makes sense.

This is the big problem with Grant Morrison. He's so fixated on the superhero as an icon that he can't comprehend the superhero as a person. He can't imagine Batman changing a goddamn tire on the Batmobile.

This is why he needs to stay the fuck away from Batman. That sort of obsession with iconography, with godliness, that works very well for Superman. It's terrible for Batman. And I don't just mean 'modern, gritty Batman'. Grant Morrison would be terrible at writing a goofy Silver Age Batman as well. He'd try to make it all DEEP AND TWISTING

man just fucking have Batman punch the guy who dresses like a penguin in the face to foil his scheme to cover Gotham City in icebergs

I bet I could write an interesting story about Batman pumping a tire.
