I don't know if I'd go and do a revival of the original show, but I would kill to have Disney integrate Kim into the Marvel universe and make her an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. already. I think it has more potential, it can pick up where the original series left off and could be done in both TV and comic book form, not to mention expanding the range of enemies and crises she can fight.

Make it a character arc. How they actually defeated the lowardians has been covered up by GJ. The show starts with him not using his abilities and as it goes on and they start facing progressively crazier challenges it becomes apparent that he is deliberately not using his powers.

Big reveal. He's scared of the limelight since he's not the natural leader Kim is and he's afraid what people think about a glowing avatar of destruction. Midseason climax he's forced to go super monkey and sure enough people start freaking out.
