This is some kind of hoax, right? Can't find anything about this show online and it looks too new to be from the 90s.

Real or not, I would have eaten this up in elementary school

Guys...What if this video and the thermos are the surviving relics of a defunct timeline? What if this is another Bearenstein/Bearenstain scenario and this cartoon series that once legitimately existed has been erased from history minus a few vague memories and items that fell through the cracks?

Surely some other /co/mrade must recognize the intro-choreography is a copy/homage to other popular cartoons?

The beginning protagonist intros copies THUNDERCATS.

The middle ANTAGONIST intro copies MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, THUNDERCATS and G.I. JOE.

The ending vehicle-line-up copies DRAGON BALL Z, THUNDERCATS and G.I. JOE as well.

COME ON GUYS, THIS IS AN ELABORATE HOAX!

...

Or media from an alternate universe. I dunno.

INCURSION, SOON?
>>
>>70569684

>>
Has noone thought that it could simply be just another failed pilot?
>>
I'm thinkin' it's an elaborate marketing campaign, it seems just too extensive for one person to pull off. The intro I can see, but the thermos is what gives it away.

Not totally saying one person couldn't do all that, just that I couldn't see what they would have to gain by doing it. I think the idea of a group of people trying to get a show off the ground is more believable.

This looks like one of those shows that the turtles would watch in the new TMNT series. Like Space Heroes and Crognar.

Still, the fact I'm pretty positive it's a hoax makes me want it more, and i kinda wish it was a thing.
>>
>>70574323

There's still hope it's a viral campaign for some sort of cartoon aimed at people nostalgic for 80's/90's cartoons. That's what my fingers are crossed for
>>
Tracking errors don't look right, and the animation is TOO good for the era and budget, and the text on the design notes don't look right.

If I'm wrong and it's a failed pilot, find the Japanese side animation lead, because this obviously isn't their first rodeo.

Find the animation lead anyways because they're fucking awesome.

The Uploader has been uploading legit show intros for months, much like when pixar uploaded legit toy cartoons ahead of the LLots-O-Huggin bear commercial. He also seems to be /fit/ obsessed judging by his uploads and subscriptions.

Teddy Philogene feels like a dead end. The bear was made for PPS&Associates LLC, a Private Investigations firm. Maybe a lead, will look into it more later.

In the UK and some other countries Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles became Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles. Possible homage to that shift with the blog post and thermos mentioning Super Turbo Atomic Ninja Rabbit, where as the opening is called Super Turbo Atomic Mega Rabbit?

Okay, Theories so far
Realistic:
>Hoax
It's almost definitely a hoax, but by who?
>>Nickelodeon Animation Studio
Possibly connected to TMNT'12, as suggested in this thread, the Surge connection, and the Baxter Stockman post. They'd have the budget, but what's the angle?
>>Unknown UK animation team.
Tons links to the UK, but nothing else to go one as far who it could be. Possibly an ARG to generate interest in a pilot.
>>Teddy Philogene
Seems like suck an odd name just to make up on the spot. Needs more research.
>MORRISON
Hypercrysis, y'all.

Less Realistic:
>Actually a Real Show/Pilot
Seems nearly impossible. Won't completely discount the idea until we have real evidence, though.
>Hypercrisis
Berenstein Bears, y'all.

>They'd have the budget, but what's the angle?

A more cost effective way to build hype than usual. All this could be setup by a handful of marketing people in an afternoon.

>>70577493
How pathetic do you have to be that your explanation for an increase in quality of animated programs is due to a collision with an alternate universe?

>>
>>70577447
>but what's the angle?
In the show, the turtles watch old cartoons that were blatant copies of others. The first one was a knockoff Star Trek: TAS on TV and the second was VHS tape of a knockoff Thundarr The Barbarian show. Maybe this was a rejected show for that series or maybe it will be the season three of TMNT.

Yes even straight people!

This cartoon is a fucking furry magnet I tell you.
All porn archetipes are in the show:
>Bara bear
>standard gay rabbit
>atletic cock (lol)
>foxy lady
>bbw cow with huger tits
>hiper badass giraffe
>femboy ambiguos frog
>some evil avians because nobody likes avians anyway.
>>
>>70584221
the furries have already caught wind of it. porn will be coming in within the hour, i just know it

what if this was made for something like a short film or a movie for the background? WTS productions doesnt exist, so that wouldnt surprise me, many high budget movies go unreleased, the merch could have been part of a set

Hm, I think I remember watching this when I was a kid. Not exactly sure, though. I think it was one of those shows they aired on Fox or UPN at like 5-6 AM on week days.

They tried so hard as well, WMM titles in comic sans and all.

Going by some of the people who have tweeted about it, maybe The Line collective? Iain Gardner programs the animation showcase of the EIFF, which featured one of their shorts last year. The Line have also done a few vaguely anime-ish things, which makes it all the more likely to have come from them.
>>
>>70580214
Threw the show's name into Google Translate and got nothing. Assuming that translation was off or the western name is completely different, I looked for ninja rabbit. Still nothing related to the show.

Most kids in Japan have school on Saturdays. Sunday is their usual day off. Most shows aimed at kids would air after school.

Christ, I can't get this fucking theme song out of my brain

If the story's true and it's legit which it probably isn't

Then it was probably animated in Japan or Korea.
>>
That voice acting in the bit was so racist I don't think anyone in modern day could do it even if it is for a joke.
They'd be torn to shreds by the Social Justice Brigade if they ever found out that this is a modern production.

This is suppose to be an anime spoof right? because I don't think 80's cartoons could ever get away with something like a Monk on the main team

It was probably Ninja but they changed it to Mega for the UK airing.

Like they did with "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles". Great Britain didn't like the word "Ninja" being thrown around on childrens TV back then.
>>
>>70577282
Nigga what? There were lots of shows with characters with guns in them back then. They just had to be goofy looking and not look like an actual real life gun.

If you look through all the blog posts it seems pretty legit that it's been there since that date. Also the blog is way older. The youtube channel that the video was uploaded to is way older too. Typically when there's a viral hoax of this nature that's not the case.

If this is a joke/marketing stunt then it's got to be one of the most elaborate ever concocted.

You can modify the date on blogspot posts to any time in the past, but you can't change the RSS feed updates. The STAMR post isn't from 2008, it was posted last year.

Look at the Howl's Moving Castle post: http://openyoureyelyds.blogspot.ca/2008/11/saw-this-other-day.html

The date says it was posted in 2008, but the trailer embedded was uploaded to Youtube in 2011: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yPstuiHw2s

This is a really high quality fake, but the style on a lot of the faces is a bit inconsistent and doesn't really fit any of the styles of animal cartoons from the supposed time period.
I'm personally assuming that one or two people have been working on this in private for several years for kicks, and they did an amazing job with the presentation, but it's most certainly not a legit 80/90's cartoon.

Also, he's probably banging that fox chick.

Sound about right?
