Early thread for 2 new episodes tonight.
Get hyped for spooky episode special.
The Mirror - Gumball refuses to forward a scare email, bringing down a curse on the whole family.
The Man - Granny Jojo brings her new boyfriend to her birthday dinner, making Dad upset.
A friendly reminder that Joe brutally assaulted his mother with the help of beverage cans.
Somehow I didn't even notice that he managed to knock one of her eyes off.
So nobody will start talking about the show? m'kay, I'll start.
Do you guys think Gumball should stop talking about Penny? Since the episode starts with Gumball talking about Penny and Darwin still being annoyed with it.
I've been thinking, what if Darwin and Gumball idolize Mr. Robinson so much because he's an actual stable father figure? I mean, Richard is pretty much an inattentive fat fuck that does nothing but eat, sleep and fuck Nicole, while Mr. Robinson while anger-prone has an air of dignity around him, has kept his shit together even after everything he has gone through with the Wattersons and to a lesser degree his son, and overall gives the impression of a guy that knew his way around life.
Pic unrelated, a request made by based cerebropodrido.

Kek, the Richard episode actually looks fun.
So, while us outside of 'murrica/with no TV wait, the ones that saw the episode please rate it.

As one of the very few fuckers that actually likes Molly, this makes me sad.
Nicole eats the bones.
Your dad walking out on you is a nightmare.
I don't know about you guys but damn, that episode started hitting too close to home when they started talking about Richard's dad.
Like, fuck, the background music stopped and the show actually got really serious for once.
"Damnnation" isn't a curse, though, and if it's used in any sort of context where it could not be a curse then censors generally don't care.
And on top of that, sex or the intimation of the same in kids programming is a whole other ballgame from violence and cursing.

Right, but where has it been said that Richard was 50 to begin with?
His dad could have walked out on his mom when Richard was an infant and his mom just told him that story his entire life.
Nicole's bare shoulder.
Let's consider the timeline. The flashbacks show us some things. Richard and Nicole graduated in either 1980 or 1988. We know in the early 90s, Richard invested in that star. I'd like to think 1988 is the graduation year. It would place Richard at around 44 years old.
I hate how Richard is a hopeless brain-dead retard in almost every respect. I hope they retcon his sheer stupidity one day and make him a fa/tg/uy or something that can salvage his shitty awful character.
Im glad they were able to maintain her voice in her last appearance tho
>I double dare you, you mother robber
I didn't even watch Pulp Fiction but I kek'd.
They didn't even joke about his dad leaving them. Well, apart from Richard at first not understanding it when everyone else got the picture. Including his own children.
yeah I know in UK their timechange is not the same as the one in the US (e.g. each place has a timechange but it doesn't necessarily happen at the exact time) so things get confusing. I read an article that I think Scotland, England, or all of the UK was planning on abolishing that timechange in the fall. The US has talked about doing away with it too but who knows. anyway, the US goes into the fall timechange this Saturday night/Sunday morning.
>Well, apart from Richard at first not understanding it when everyone else got the picture. Including his own children.
He actually knew about it all this time, that's why he broke down so easily when Jojo started to talk about his father at the end of the episode.
He was probably deluding himself into thinking that his father is still at the store so that he wouldn't have to deal with the reality of the whole situation.
Alright /co/. Honesty time.
Would you a Granny Jojo?
I know, I guess I worded that badly.
>Richard at first seemingly not understanding
It does stick out as something serious that wasn't turned into a joke though. Like, I know I'm not the only one who expected his father to waltz in unannounced for an end gag.
> Remember when he conned Gumball and Darwin?
Remember when he bought a turtle, somehow mistaking it for a puppy?
Remember when he ate his son's homework, thinking that he could become smart by doing it?
Remember when he destroyed the house and injured himself in a mindless attempt to turn on the fucking TV?
Remember when etc...
...remember when Gumball and Darwin were tricked into being accessories to a robbery when the fingerprint guy said he was "collecting charity"?
It's pathetically easy to con Gumball and Darwin.
its all the talkbacks in general. cartoon network has done a supremely shitty job of advertising as of late (on tv and in real life). even worse was that I noticed Adventure Time, Regular Show, and Uncle Grandpa (all had Halloween specials airing outside of Thursday) failed to even crack a 0.2 in the ratings on Tuesday or Wednesday respectively, in fact, none of these shows (given they are CN's bread and butter) didn't even make the 'Top 100' in cable ratings. its disappointing in terms of the new CN president and how awesome Stu Snyder was looking back
oh yeah good point I forgot about that. Dish Network couldn't reach an agreement in the US for advertising so they shut off Cartoon Network for people who have Dish Network (e.g. its a blank screen or something that says the channel is offline) and the subscribers take the hit. however, Dish Network is pretty small in terms of people who have 'subscription access' to watch channels like Cartoon Network. theres more people with cable company subscriptions than people with the dish. its just really fucking bad advertising on CN's part. that "catchphrase" ad campaign was so fucking bad and its crazy to see them STILL doing it!
oh and I noticed they didn't have the "countdown" clock for the halloween specials at all for AT, RS, UG which was very strange too
Did someone say future Anais?
Webm of Gumball and Penny blowing eachother kisses when?
That was so cute it hurt.
Also, have a doodle.
I'm glad Anais wasn't annoying on both episodes.
I'm not usually the "hurr she a cunt" type of guy but her previous appearances seemed pretty cuntish.
>They broke up
Yeah, but that's because Penny felt that she was getting in the way of Gumball and Darwin's brotherly relationship, so she told him that they needed some time off.
Later in the episode Gumball proposed to Penny but she denies because of age restrictions but thenshe says this :
>We don't need a ring to show we love eachother
So no they didn't break up.
Take it to an AT thread tryhard
Granny Jojo and her boyfriend smooching.
I have a lipstick fetish and I don't know how to feel about these scenes....
If vector anon is still around these threads.
You know what to do with this.
So how was Carrie raised if her dad was stuck in the mirrors?
I assume that her mother or grandma raised her.
Seems like they're using old models.
Even Tobias walking here is S1 style.
That's so well drawn it makes my heart hurt. I'll never be able to draw like that.
you could get on that level in three years if you get off your ass right now.
thing with art is that it develops a helluva lot faster if it comes along your tastes as you grow up, as an adult, people feel less motivated because they aren't finding new inspiration all the time.
change that. fall in love with what you draw again.
If you're still here.
The scene when Gumball does his "I told you so" dance.
Must pass term, doing homework will gumball later
maybe you've got a request?
The episodes were just OK, and the overload of Penny love it's beginning to tire people out.
I still love the show, but man, this double feature was kid of a let down.
There was no Penny reference in The Man so hopefully it'll burn out I guess.
4 continuous episodes with Penny seems enough, and I loved the 2 episodes.
Somewhat puts the show in a more depressing manner with Richard's dad leaving him ;_;
Really, are you the only one hyped for these episodes?
Maybe you could cheer us up and convince anons out there to do something productive/creative instead of nothing else to discuss already.
I'm actually surprised they retconned a good deal of his laziness even as early as Season 2. Don't expect his stupidity to completely disappear, but it would be nice for Richard just to be more competent at things.
>Granny Jojo is just 63
Man, she's as old as my granddad, but still not even close at my 83 years old dad.
To think my mom is younger than all of my older siblings from my dad's side, south america is really a funny place.
Anyway, that episode was fucking gold, I was actually more hyped for the Carrie one, but that was kinda meh to be honest, so yeah 9/10 for The Man, 6/10 for The Mirror.
>Dad is 83
>His dad died in 1936
>His mom died in 1984
>Oldest son is 61
>Youngest daughter from first marriage is 44
>He's already a great-granddad
>Mom is 42
>Granddad is 62
>Grandma is 60
Thanks to this clusterfuck I'm now a grunkle as well, and have been an uncle since I was born.
>Gumball and Penny finally become a couple
>Everyone is really happy for them
>First time it comes up in another episode, everyone thinks it's the cutest shit ever
>Afterwards, people start agreeing that it's being brought up too much
>Gumball and Penny's relationship becomes annoying even to the characters in the show
It's all a metaphor for couples in their honeymoon phase.
Well I found strangely endearing how the made fun of the relationship in-show, so it's nice that they know how quickly that can bore people out (see regular show).
But I want more episodes like The Man, where even when the opportunity to bring it up shows up (the speech about love Jojo made) is passed up for a more episode-related joke.
It's more like a few idiots who think this development will turn the show into Adventure Time.
And outside Darwin, characters in the show are only annoyed by Gumball constantly talking about it. In one episode. Don't be surprised if that was just a gag.
I'm not the only one who still loves their relationship, right?
I like the relationship, I can't fucking stand the lightbulb design. Its an eyesore. Put her back in her shell (let her come out of it at times), let them continue the relaish then.
I would like just one episode where the duo is separated during most of it's run, specially for Darwin, since besides his breakdown we really haven't seen much from him alone.
I do too, but that's not what the show's about.
"I GOT RED ONES........
I GOT BLUE ONES.......
I GOT YELLOW ONES......."
>Of course I'd also watch a twelve minute episode where they just stay in his room and fuck.
I don't think that's possible, Gumball shares his room with both Anais and Darwin, and the latter will stop it out of jealousy, while the former either rats them out or joins Darwin in the cockblock.
>Inb4 incest orgy
Too OOC for all parties involved.
It's not so bad you guys, I find it quite cute.
The shape-shifting was a great touch to her character.
Agreed, the show's main plot isn't romance.
Yeah it is isn't it?
But it's still really cute.
WHERE IS ZYKLON BEN?
(Day #21 and Still Missing Edition)
He's still not come back from the pub. Hasn't someone smelled his rotten decomposing body (wherever it is at and where he committed suicide) and called the authorities to report a foul smell? The body must be in horrible decomposition by this point. I wonder how he committed suicide though....
I want an episode of Darwin not being attached to Gumball's knees. An episode where the rest of the Wattersons have to interact with Darwin instead of Gumball or Gumball+Darwin. An episode of Darwin and the rest of the school.
I love Darwin's relationship with Gumball, but I have no clue what Darwin would do in any of those situations without Gumball being there.
I like to imagine what Anais will be like when she's grown. Probably an important scientist or something. Definitely a career woman. But she's also a rabbit so she'd need to constantly fuck. Probably want a husband who's willing to stay at home and take care of the kids, just like dear old Dad was. She'd probably also be in a constant state of pregnancy.
This exactly, in The Sidekick it was shown that his other classmates see him as Gumball's shadow (or backpack), and besides some early s1 episodes we haven't seen much of how the rest of the family sees him or anything as well.
I would like to see a concerned Nicole asking him what's wrong, a half-assed attempt from Richard to cheer him up, some teasing from Anais, Tobetas showing him just how beta a child can be, Sarah talking about her animu shit with him, a girl showing interest in him a la Penny, and so on, I other words, I want to see him be his own character.
I... I just want pics of brotherly love...
>get bogged down by her being four
And that's a completely normal reaction, the other being aging her up like the fructose guy does.
Now using her canon self? That's just fucking loli, and more and more that shit is being considered as CP.
design-wise it's toddlercon unless you go wildly out of model. Fuck that. No one's touching toddlercon with a six foot pole.
and her personality still hasn't been anything worthy of adoration yet. You could in theory draw all these sweet and cute things with Anais but that's not who she is. And nobody likes who she is.
I'm not him but here ya go.
So overall we can all agree that their relationship is a nice development in the show, but just needs to tone it down with references.
>I would like to see a concerned Nicole asking him what's wrong, a half-assed attempt from Richard to cheer him up.
This especially. Outside that one season 1 episode where the government took him away and token lines like Darwin apparently being Richard's favorite or that one scene in the world where Nicole and Darwin (no Gumball) are shopping at the store and she asks him to go grab something, you never see Richard and Nicole do anything in relation to Darwin specifically.
Unfortunately, I feel like Darwin's going to end up like High Five Ghost in Regular Show. For fuck's sake, Ms. Simian and Rocky got episodes focused on her before Darwin who only tags along with Gumball.
>And nobody likes who she is.
And if nothing's change no one ever will.
she'll live in our hearts
I also miss her ;_;7
Drawing smutty images of 12 year olds instead isn't much of a moralfag improvement.
>and more and more that shit is being considered as CP.
Sources that aren't years old please. Last I checked, the fictional CP movement lost alot of steam in the wake of arrests having charges thrown out since it's fucking stupid to charge over drawings.
Though if you live in Canada, you've been fucked for years.
Gumball has some kind of body attached to him, giant cartoony head nonwithstanding. Anais looks like a toddler because she's a bean with extremely short limbs tacked on.
there's really little to work with unless you are into toddlers(i'm judging) or you, again, just go off model.
>months of "Did they show 'The Shell' yet?"
>"Do you think they'll actually use the deer design everyone likes?"
>it actually finally aired
>youtube the scene
>she was just a changeling monster
Ben said a long time ago that Penny was not that deer. People who still expected the deer are idiots.
Also everyone liked? Plenty hate how it's basically a brown Gumball with antlers.
If anyone's interested, there's a survey:
Might be fun, the guy is the only artist currently making fan animations of the show, GIFs notwithstanding.
I absolutely loathe his "Gumball has four ears" obsession. He has cat ears as part of his hair, and human ears underneath. Anais is the same but with rabbit ears. It looks so fucking stupid.
Speaking of pajamas, I love their little pajamas.
She has a body. It's just proportional to her height. Granny JoJo is just as small, but with a bigger head and more fat. You've got issues, man. Stop denying that.
It's a moot point anyway since drawing 12 year olds is no better. There is no moral high ground.
