Jason came back and was used by Talia, just like he had been used before by his previous mother figures, and she she manipulated him against Batman by making him think that Batman didn't cared for him, which mirrored how he felt about his biological father. So to confront Batman and take over the criminal world of Gotham he traveled the world learning under various masters and teachers to better prepare himself, just like Bruce did before in order to become Batman. That worked out because there was the time before, but that kind of training had to be made concise and compacted, so Lobdell sets up this whole ancient order of assassins that don't seem to ever leave to assassinate people, and he learns ancient blood magic weapons and then leaves to learn other skills.

That was the solution to the Jason Todd dilemma with the new Batman timeline. I liked the old one too, and I think the Red Hood mini-series is really high up there, but this is what we get.

This issue will also hint on the new relationship. Then issue 35, which will be a FUTURES END tie-in, will show her 5 years in the future as a cyborg together with her father wrecking shit and killing people. This issue will highlight just how bad said relationship went sour.

So yeah, shit will end so badly that Supergirl will become a murderous cyborg.

that's because Jason doesn't really show up much in preboot DC. he dies not long into his Robin run (post-crisis anyway) and then after Judd Winick brings him back he's barely used unless it's awful shit like Nightwing's One Year Later story or fucking Countdown. It's honestly a shame because he was set up to be an interesting antagonist for the Batfamily because he was one of them once and could have potentially been turned back to their side again.

New 52 is probably the most he's consistently been seen of in DC since his Robin days but it's all Lobdell shit so it's unreadable.

If you're looking for good Jason as Red Hood there's of course the Judd Winick Under the Hood and Lost Days stuff. The Outsiders #45-46 and Green Arrow #69-72 has him around too, though not so much in the Outsiders storyline. That's pretty much where he was at when he wasn't in major storylines like Battle for the Cowl.

As for Robin he was in Detective Comics (#568-582) and Batman (#401-457) though some of that stuff is Pre-Crisis.
