I hope those are both false. We were given a glimpse at that in the BW WW team up as sort of an else world type of thing(she was in the fun house looking for Bloody Marie). And I'm not feeling the new vamp, hell I'm not feeling the new run. Love the way he writes Kate, but say what you will of Blackman and Williams theirs was more fun to read. Now its just dragging its feet with no clear direction of plot, but maybe the addition of Ivy will add something.

Villains getting their own ongoings is a pretty recent trend.

Really, the problem is simply that Ivy is extremely one-note. The ecoterrorism thing is about really the only unique thing about her, and there's not really a whole lot you can do with it. Even her powers don't lend themselves to much when you realize that everything they could possibly explore with it has been done better in Swamp Thing.

The feminist angle is totally non-existentent despite what IVYGIRL BLOOMINGTON thinks. Ivy doesn't give a fuck about people in general, and feminists are quick to point to Ivy as symbolic of everything they find distasteful about comics' depiction of women.
