I see there's been a Raven thread abouts. That makes me want to have a Starfire thread. Any and all Starfires allowed. Starting with both Raven and Starfire to ease us into it.
>tfw Googling Starfire brings more results for Slutfire than Showfire
I guess all that controversy paid off.
Ah, the first stupid intra-comics controversy I ever was aware of.
No, there have certainly been worse ones since.
Here's a less cropped one, yo.
Showfire was the formative fictional crush of my puberty. All the bad wish-fulfillment stories I wrote as a young teen always had a girl who was blatantly just Starfire in looks and personality as the love interest.
i didnt know there was a starfire figure
it kinda sucks though
I am googling it and you are right, most of them are ugly. But some are not bad
I like the fanart genre of "Starfire annoys Raven with friendship"
Every Starfire or Raven thread I see, 80% of the content is related either to the Titans cartoon or TTG. Maybe another 10% from the Titans comics pre-nu52.
And DC still went with "demon who wears a tomato slicer on her head" Raven and "can't be bothered to remember all the names of those interchangeable sex partners" Starfire.
I question the competence of DC's editors.
What's your opinion on grebnaks, /co/?
superior at being a less superior waifu? I agree anon
I feel like Starfire would be wild sexually but unable to grasp the emotional intricacies of an earthling on a day to day basis.
That is my problem with Starfire.
Speaking of angry Starfire, that one flashback episode has a much more interesting characterization then the one they actually used.
She's a brutal and violent person from a brutal and violent culture who sees the Earth. in comparison, as a place of astonishing beauty and falls in love with it. Positive culture shock.
As an Earthaboo she's really opened up a gap between her and her own culture, but it just doesn't use this idea. I think they already had an episode set on her planet before the flashback episode anyway.
So mostly, she's just "foreign exchange student" jokes.
Just not keeping things consistent. They did a storybook "the evil sibling has usurped the throne" story when they did the Starfire's planet episode, and had a totally different idea when they did the flashback episode.
Because her character is a giant reference to Dejah Thoris and therefore a good chunk of the sci-fi/space opera ideas of the 'space princess' character? It's about references setting up precedents. Dejah Thoris dressed skimpy because of cultural reasons, therefore Starfire must as well.
Also, sex + comic books = money, etc.
Thanks. I will continue to improve it.
>tfw imaging being raped in space prison by Starfire.
Sometimes, I'll make an exception for off-model fan art.
I'm a Raven guy but I have to admit that Starfire is equally great in her own way. I guess it just comes down to personal preference
Yeah, I enjoyed it too
I have been sent as an emissary from the Raven thread, bearing an important scientific breakthrough!
>they don't have a word for friendship or whatever
Um, wasn't there a Tamaranian holiday called Blorthog or something like that were you give your friends bead necklaces? It was like a major plot point in one episode.
They were kinda like the government from Mass Effect if the dominant race were Nazi orcs, they're the guys Blackfire sold Starfire to in their backstory. In the cartoon they're only namedropped once in the flashback episode.
...You know, I kind of wish they'd gone with the giant wavy frizzy glowy hair for the cartoon. The straight, flat look on the show always seemed so bland to me.
The giggly, super cheerful goofball that is Toon-fire would have been adorable with those mountains of curls.
She goes beyond being cute, though. There's just something about her, and I think she has moe
You should also cry some more, you stupid faggot
Glgrdsklechhh da best. We need a Glgrdsklechhh thread going!
>being a cartoonfag
because toonfire is shit and so are you
