easy baby
I just finished Herakles #LVI and I want to know if the bards have truly gone mad!! Do they really expect me to believe that Herakles' theft of Geryon's cattle took a year due to a single fly?!
Decompression sucks so much. They really needed to take an entire side of a vase for one big image?
Am I the only one who uses his Seafoam Aphrodite vase for cummy storage?

Does this mean we'll be getting a Brock solo movie in the DCEU?

> this is just Sony saving face
> implying Sony didn't realize they fucked up and will just take the back seat to Disney's golden goose
>they will not fuck this up. everybody knows kevin is running the show now

>disney/marvel just bumped thor to november instead. they are in the driver's seat. they would not have done it if they don't influence the story

>Spider-Man reboot ... is pretty much just being made by Marvel, but Sony gets their name in the credits and a chunk of the cash

>If anything, SM: Homecoming is probably going to be one of the highest grossing MCU films to date because it's both MCU AND Spider-Man. It'll likely break the 1 billion point pretty fast.
>Box-Office:
>1. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 (Over a billion)
>2. Spider-man: Homecoming (Over a billion)
>3. Thor: Ragnarok
>4. Justice League
>5. Wonder Woman (Wont pass 500 million)
>6. Logan (Wont pass 500 million)
How come before Homecoming came out it Sony had zero creative control and it was guaranteed to make a billion dollars, but after it released it was all Sony's fault and had a crowded release window with tons of competition?
Why did opinions shift on this movie so strongly?

THE OLD SCHOOLA
Don't know if there's been a thread about it yet but Dark Horse announced some books from their new line edited by Karen Berger.
“Hungry Ghosts” is a four-issue anthology that has multiple isolated stories featuring a spin on the “Japanese Edo-period game 100 Candles, in which samurai would try to one-up each other with stories to freak each other out. Here, the tellers won’t be samurai; they’ll be chefs from around the world, and their stories will be united by their focus on food.” Bourdain and Rose, who worked together on the Vertigo series “Get Jiro!” are writing with art from the likes of Vanesa Del Rey, Leo Manco, Alberto Ponticelli, Paul Pope, and Mateus Santolouco. “Hungry Ghosts” #1 debuts January 31, 2018.
Debuting next is “Incognegro: Renaissance” from Mat Johnson and Warren Pleece which is a prequel to the 2008 Vertigo graphic novel “Incognegro: A Graphic Mystery,” which is also getting a Berger Books tenth-anniversary reprint on February 6, 2018. “Incognegro” is a five-issue miniseries, debuting February 7th, following reporter Zane Pinchback, a black man who can pass as white, that will explore ideas of race and privilege in America.
“Mata Hari” is also debuting the same month on February 21 from Emma Beeby (“Judge Dredd”) and artist Ariela Kristantina (“InSEXts”) which follows the historical figure of Mata Hari, “titular spy-dancer and the reality of the myths that surround her.” Hari, who was executed in 1917, kept a journal of fictitious stories about her accusers and captors and stories she propagated about herself.
Finally, March 28 will launch “The Seeds” from Ann Nocenti (“Daredevil,” “Catwoman”) and artist David Aja “Hawkeye,” “Immortal Iron Fist,”) about a post-truth America where the “flora and fauna have begun to mutate.” A journalist in this world finds a huge story she is unable to report on and thus crafts the “the biggest myth of her career.”
>Venom starts out as Spidey's Reverse-Flash, a villain with a crazy origin but was just kind of an evil recolor.
>gradually get's more and more attention
>gets solo books that advance the characters of both the symbiote and its hosts
>it all comes to a head when Venom goes to his home planet and get's cured of his aggression and becomes the true cosmic hero he was always meant to be
>goes back to earth and shows how far it's come by not being corrupted by Lee and even going out of his way to save Lee because it understand what it means to be a hero
>one run in with Spider-Man and WHELP GUESS I GOTTA BE A BAD GUY AGAIN
I wanted Spidey to accept the reformed symbiote and have amazing buddy cop adventures why does Venom have to stay a bad guy
what are some similarly disappointing moments in /co/ material?

Neither of these were very good.

Sorry, but that's Eddie Brock in the suit, that will never be disappointing.

Do you have to be in every Venom thread? Can't we ever be at peace and not deal with your shit?
https://www.newsarama.com/35604-beloved-marvel-silver-age-legend-indy-comics-pioneer-fabulous-flo-steinberg-has-passed-away.html
>Steinberg achieved fan recognition in the Silver Age of Marvel Comics as the “Girl Friday” to Stan Lee, where she was often referred to as “Fabulous Flo.” Her presence was deeply felt at Marvel Comics both behind the scenes and on the page, where she provided humorous answers to the fan mail sent in and the letters column pages for Marvel books, along with copy for the “Merry Marvel Marching Society” fan club. As Marvel’s only other full-time staffer along with Lee, Steinberg was in many ways responsible for coordinating the company during a period that would become known as the “Silver Age” of comics, and is credited with helping create the dialogue with the fans that became part of the company’s persona.
RIP

This is kind of a big deal that most of /co/ will ignore though maybe Flo having been a qt will change that. That stuff about the letters and creating dialogue with the fans is a very, very important part of the company's history that helped its popularity and helped set it apart from DC in the 1960s so she played a huge though understated role in Marvel's success.
IIRC most of the fan mail was directed at her personally so she was probably more popular among fans than even Stan or Jack at the time.
>>94105412
You think she and Stan ever did it?
>"Now I got nothing to fear!"

What happened to the Amazons being dominatrixes? Wasn't their whole belief that women are superior because men are violent savages and women need to subjugate men to control their destructive impulses? How did they go to that to 'kill all men'?
