I want to have a somewhat proper understanding of how many adult Western animated shows are there that are not 1) random comedy/satire for the sake of random comedy/satire 2) edginess for the sake of edginess. Here's what I have for now:
- Futurama
- 12 oz. Mouse
- BoJack Horseman
- Moral Orel
- Samurai Jack Season 5
- Castlevania
- maybe Venture Bros. and Rick and Morty but I haven't seen much of either
Am I missing something?

Even then, I don't really think this is a matter of heart. I think alot of the people at Disney and Pixar still have alot of it, but Pixar still relies alot on the original group who made all of their earlier hits. They seem afraid to really test new blood. Here's hoping Coco is a success since that might encourage them to trust their newer creatives to provide that heart that you're missing.
